Arrow is one of my favorite TV shows. Okay, let me rephrase that; Arrow seasons 1 and 2 were one of my favorite TV shows and now I watch it so I’m not lost during the crossover with Legends of Tomorrow and the other Arrowverse shows and in hopes that it will improve, especially after the departure of showrunners Wendy Mericle and Marc Guggenheim, who have overseen the less-than-stellar later seasons of the show.
Ever since Beth Schwartz was announced as the new showrunner and Colton Haynes announced his character Roy Harper would be returning as a series regular, fans have been clamoring for details and hoping they point in a new and better direction for the CW’s former top dog. Over the weekend some rumors about season 7 appeared on the Arrow Reddit, and previous plot details to emerge there have proved surprisingly accurate, so they’re worth looking at.
Oliver in prison for only 3 episodes
I’m really well over storylines that revolve around superheroes being in prison or on the run from the authorities. Well, aside from The Gifted, The X-Men have always been at odds with the government, it’s in the DNA of the title. For shows like Flash and Arrow, it’s just a distraction, and not a particularly good one. Flash’s arc which put Barry Allen in prison for a crime he didn’t commit last season dragged on and didn’t serve the plot well at all. I’m really hoping this rumor is true, I’m already over the storyline and the season hasn’t even started.
Felicity will have an arc outside the team
Felicity Smoak was a breakout character on Arrow who went from one-time guest to series regular by the end of season 1, mostly on the appeal and comic timing of Emily Bett Rickards. But the show has failed to properly utilize Felicity since her season 3 romance with Ray Palmer. Without having anything for her to do, too many plots have revolved around Felicity needing to come up with some piece of tech or having to sneak into a hostile area to use a computer. Giving Felicity a good storyline probably won’t make fans love her like they did in the show’s early days, but it would give writers some room to breathe and write action scenes without her.
Court of Owls will be introduced in the crossover
The Court of Owls are a relatively new group of villains in Batman comics, having debuted in 2011. It makes sense that the crossover, confirmed to be set in Gotham City and to feature the introduction of Batwoman into the Arrowverse, would use a powerful villain from Batman’s stable, even though it isn’t the first time Arrow has used a villain associated with Batman, as season 3 featured Ra’s al Ghul and his league of assassins.
New love interest for Dinah that will cause trouble in the team
This is almost exactly the storyline Dinah had last season, as her boyfriend caused trouble for the team. Now that Katie Cassidy is back as a series regular playing Black Siren, the Laurel Lance from Earth-2, do we really need Dinah Drake around as well? They were the same character in the comics, and Drake only showed up to replace Cassidy. They’ve clearly run out of ideas for her character, since they’re repeating the only one they had, so why keep her now-redundant character around?
Diaz isn’t the main villain but will help introduce whoever it is
My money is on The Longbow Hunters, whom Diaz said he hired to kill Green Arrow at the end of last season. Diaz’s story was never that interesting and it’s basically run its course. The Longbow Hunters were allies of Diaz in the comics, and the name references a famously dark Green Arrow limited series by Mike Grell. It seems unlikely Arrow would drop the name and not have it pay off.
E2 Tommy Merlyn set to make an appearance
Colin Donnell loves the cast and crew of Arrow so much that last season he flew to Canada after a full day of filming Chicago Med to film a brief appearance as the evil Nazi version of Tommy Merlyn from Earth-X, then immediately flew back to set for Chicago Med by the next morning. He also made a full guest appearance as The Human Target imitating his character later in the season. Donnell was a big part of the cast of Arrow in season 1 and it’s always good when the writers can find an excuse to bring him back.
Andrew Lees confirmed that he has auditioned for an upcoming role on Arrow
There have been rumors for months that Arrow was finally introducing Ted Kord, the Blue Beetle, after six years of dropping the name of Kord Industries into conversation. Brandon Routh was slated to play Kord during season 3 of Arrow, but a conflict with the movie division caused his character to be reworked into Ray Palmer. Is his the character Lees auditioned for? It seems likely; he does fit the mold.
While we don’t know for sure if any of these rumors will come to pass right now, a lot of rumors that have found their way to the various Arrowverse Reddit communities have turned out to be true. Whatever happens on Arrow next season, let’s just hope it work out now that Guggenheim isn’t there to screw it up.

Taylor Swift in ‘Great Place’ with Joe Alwyn, Still Holding Onto Their Break-Up Song Just in Case Though
Has it been a year already? That’s how long Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have been doing it. Evidently, Alwyn’s doing her right because a source told PEOPLE Swift “seems to be in a great place both career and love wise.”
Alwyn checks off all Taylor’s boxes. Let’s see, there’s being British. And…that’s it? I vaguely remember she mentioned being really into British guys. Now she snagged yet another one.
The source went on to say that:
“Joe is just an amazing boyfriend…He is very supportive. Taylor adores his family. She’s in a very good place.”
Everyone thinks they’re in love until they aren’t.
When she dated Tom Hiddleston, she supposedly “texted her close friends and said, ‘I think I am in love and I never felt this way before!'”
Three months later, they broke up. Two years or so after that, we get the “Look What You Made Me Do” abomination.
Enjoy your time with her, Alwyn. Just know she’s got a song reserved just for you if things go bad.

Finally, it sounds like she’ll be getting the help she needs.
TMZ reports the Melrose Place star will enter a psychiatric ward in Los Angeles and undergo long-term treatment for substance abuse and mental health issues.
After her latest hospital visit, doctors concluded that Locklear needed help for both substance abuse and mental health, with mental health being the bigger issue of the two. Well, duh. I still don’t know how doctors get paid so much to point out the obvious. Locklear has reportedly been cooperative in entering the program.
Locklear’s family remains worried she won’t follow through. Pshhh, this is a woman who faked her death (on a television show) to get away from her problems. She’ll do whatever it takes.
Courts are unlikely to approve a conservatorship.
It was obvious a month ago when she was beating up her parents and threatening to kill herself that she needed help. The fact that it took this long is honestly a bigger crime than her punching police.
Hopefully things work out for Heather. It’s sad watching my celebrity crush as a six-year-old fall apart so rapidly.

Beyonce believes she runs the world. But this stage in Poland owned her on Sunday.
— BEYONCÉ LEGION (@Bey_Legion) July 1, 2018
How come she didn’t just float down like a Goddess?
While being stuck on the floating stage that had enough of Beyonce’s shit, she sort of tried to entertain the crowd.
— BEYONCÉ LEGION (@Bey_Legion) July 1, 2018
She did like six hip thrusts and people went wild. No one woman should have all that power.
Jay-Z and Beyonce are still in Europe for the first leg of their “On The Run II” tour. They’ll have had a couple of days off before they hit the stage again on July 3 in Germany. Hopefully that gives the technical people enough time to get the floating stage fixed. Or come up with a better solution to get her down.
Nothing kills the aura of a Queen like needing five people and a ladder to help you down from high places.

Yes, it's sad but true:
As reported in detail on The Hollywood Gossip, Cheryl Cole and Liam Payne have broken up.
No one is quite certain just when the split was finalized, but chatter over a split had been running rampant online for multiple months now.
Payne turned these rumors into an unfortunate reality on Instagram Sunday night when he posted the following:
"Cheryl and I are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways. It's been a tough decision for us to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family."
He then referenced the couple's son, who was born in March of 2017 and who has both an odd name and a very cute face:
"Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together."
No reason was given for the break-up.
So you know what this means, don't you?
Yup: the Internet was free to print basically anything it wanted to about what transpired between the beautiful Brits.
For whatever reason, talk that Cole's mother, Joan Callaghan, did not approve of Payne has become a hot topic among celebrity gossip followers.
There have been reports that she drove a wedge between the artist and encouraged them to go their separate ways.
Entering the spotlight in order to address these reports, Cole took the rare step this afternoon of speaking in public about her private life.
"I hate responding to stuff esp at such difficult times but I cannot sit here and listen to such nasty, false articles regarding my mam," Tweeted Cole to her 6.4 million followers.
She then got to the point, in understandably irritated fashion:
"I don't know why they involve her in stories about me.
"I can assure you she has absolutely nothing to do with any of it. I am a grown woman who is capable of dealing with my own life.
"She is a soft and kind woman who doesn't deserve to be dragged into something that has nothing whatsoever to do with her."
With that, Cheryl Cole dropped the mic.
Figuratively speaking, that is.
The Daily Mail was the main outlet who wrote this morning that Callaghan posed a “problem” in the relationship between her daughter and Liam, writing simply that she got “in the way.”
The attractive and talented singers started dating in 2015.
They rarely discussed their romance in magazines or on social media, but they had been the target of split rumors throughout their relationship, especially toward the end.
Consider what the 24-year old ex-One Direction member said to ES Magazine in March...
"You know, we have our struggles.
"Like, of course I'm not gonna sit here and say that everything's absolutely fine and dandy, because of course you go through different things, and that's what a relationship is."
"This part of our relationship was never not going to happen; there was always going to be a little bit of tenseness in the way we sort ourselves out. But tell me a relationship in the world that doesn't go through a spot like that?
"It's about whether you make it through or not, together, is the main point there, I guess."
That's a fair and realistic assessment of a relationship.
But it wasn't a ringing endorsement for his future with Cole, either.
We somehow have a feeling neither will have trouble finding anyone new.
(Call us, Cheryl!)
Where are you vacationing this summer? I can guarantee wherever it is, you’re not going to have as much fun as you would if you were in Greece right now. Why? because two of the most bikinitastic names in the biz at the moment, Emily Ratajkowski and Gigi Hadid, are currently soaking up the sun there. And in keeping with the powerful Instagram model adage “sun’s out, buns out,” in these stunningly sexy new pics, the sun’s out, and indeed so are the buns.

Models are caught in a vicious circle, I think. They are forced to be out in the sun, constantly showing off their bodies, trying to maintain interest and relevancy. But because they are at the beach, the Sun is intense and saps their energy out of them. This leads to them being exhausted and they end up having to lie down all the time like lions (which might be why they are called that in the first place).
Sadly, if they stop going to the beach then they will lose their relevancy. It is not like anyone wants to look at a woman that is fully clothed if she is only known for her body. That would be pointless. Like owning a classic car, but keeping the cover on it all the time.
I think this is why fitness models are usually more active. Their job requires them to workout frequently, most gyms are indoors, so they do not get as tired. This means that they have more energy to go out and do whatever it is that they do in their free time. And if they were not working out then they would have even more energy, but then they also would not have the bodies that made them famous. I guess they have their own vicious circle.

Last month, Abby Lee Miller underwent a second emergency surgery on her spine. The once-and-future Dance Moms star's cancer spreads quickly, and requires swift treatment.
Miller has now updated fans on how her spine is healing, sharing a graphic photo of her progress.
Be warned, folks. This photo is not for the faint of heart.
Abby Lee Miller is battling cancer. She has Burkitt lymphoma, a fast-spreading cancer that is usually only found in children, but there are adult cases.
She's shared this new photo (below) update.
First, Miller provides a little context, writing: "After the 2nd surgery."
The second surgery was performed after an MRI led her doctors to believe that it was necessary.
"My back," Miller announces. "Is finally on the mend."
Healing from surgery is zero fun, but healing from spinal surgery is worse. You cannot even rest on your back for a long time, for obvious reasons.
"I just wish," Miller adds. "The top section & bottom would hurry along too!"
There is the photo. As she mentiones, there appears to be faster healing along the center.
"I had 52 staples perfectly aligned," Miller describes.
Surgical staples are often used to repair long incisions for certain procedures.
"And now," Miller laments. "A bunch of crazy stitches are holding my neck & lumbar region together!"
If that thought makes you a little queasy, you're not alone.
She ends her captions with tags, writing: "#abbyleemiller #abbylee #dancemoms @hoomanmelamedmd #aldc #aldcla #spjne #disc"
Dr. Hooman Melamed is her orthopedic spine surgeon.
Burkitt lymphoma has a 90% recovery rate in children. In adults, who are less likely to have it, the recovery rate is somewhat lower.
But not only is Miller getting necessary treatments, including chemotherapy, it sounds like she has a positive attitude.
Even so, reports say that Abby Lee Miller is prepared for the worst as she continues with her treatments. That is smart, even if it can feel a little grim.
Through a combination of surgeries, chemo, and radiation, fans hope and pray that Miller can make a full recovery.
The good news about Burkitt is that because it spreads quickly, it also tends to respond to treatments faster than slow-growing cancers.
Sometimes, you have to focus on the positives and be hopeful.
Fortunately, Miller has a lot to which she can look forward.
First of all, prison is behind her. She's done with her time behind bars and she's also done with her time in a halfway house.
Second of all, to the shock (and joy) of countless fans, Dance Moms is coming back.
Miller surprised fans with an informal announcement on Instagram.
But, honestly, if anyone's going to break that news, it should really be Miller, right?
Still, people's fingers are crossed for Miller.
Her back may still be healing from her surgery, but she's also working hard to combat the cancer itself.
Miller is 51 years old and only got out of prison a few months ago.
She can conquer Burkitt lymphoma, but it will take a lot. Cancer always exacts its toll.
As we enter week two of Big Brother Season 20, it's becoming clearer than ever that the house is divided.
On one side of the house, we have Winston, Angela, Rachel, Tyler Kaycee, and Brett. On the other, we have Kaitlin, Haleigh, Bayliegh, Swaggy, Faysal, and Rockstar.
There are players in the middle who are not doing much to benefit their games, but the most prominent are Sam and Steve aka the two nominees for the week.
After Tyler nominated Sam and Steve for eviction, Faysal and Swaggy got to work on Tyler to try and get one of the bigger players out of the house so that the week was not a wasted HOH.
Tyler was clear about his intention to keep the nominations the same, and that complicated things somewhat when it came to the veto competition, which was played on Saturday.
Sam, Tyler, Faysal, Scottie Swaggy C, and Steve competed in the first veto of the summer, while JC got to present. The feeds went down for over three hours, and we learned that Faysal scored a victory.
Things continued to get heated between him and Tyler because Tyler claimed that there was no way he would allow one of his nominees to be removed from the block.
Faysal wanted to save Steve so that his side of the house would have another vote, but Tyler shut it down when he said that Bayliegh would go up in his place and out the door.
That's why when it came to the veto ceremony, both Sam and Steve remained on the block, meaning one of them will exit the Big Brother house on Thursday.
The Level Six alliance are voting to keep Sam, but they still need a vote from the other side. There's a lot of time for scheming between now and Thursday, but plans do change in the house in a heartbeat.
The good thing for Sam is that she has a bonus life and will walk back in those doors the moment she's evicted and will live to fight another week. Tyler is in the know about the power but wants Sam to keep it for further down the line.
The reason? She can use it on any of the first three evicted houseguests. It's a game-changing twist for sure, and one that could get her in good graces with some of the others in the house.
There's a genuine possibility that Sam gets to keep her power this week and save herself another week if the Level Sixers continue the scheming.
What are your thoughts on these latest spoilers? Would it be a wise move for Sam not to use her power this week?
