Tyler Honeycutt Dead at 27: Basketball Player Died From Apparent “Self-Inflicted Injury” After Police ShootoutTyler Honeycutt has died at the age of 27. The Los Angeles County Coroner confirmed the basketball player's death to E! News on Saturday, noting that he passed away at 2:35 a.m. that...
Tyler Honeycutt, a former star for the UCLA Bruins who played parts of two seasons in the NBA, was found dead on Friday inside his home after a violent standoff with the police.
He was 27 years old.
The details behind Honeycutt's death are both sad and bizarre.
The Los Angeles Police Department and L.A. Fire Department told USA Today, TMZ and other media outlets that a man with a firearm shot at officers around5p.m. on Friday, prior to barricading himself inside his Sherman Oaks, California home for nine hours.
The SWAT team eventually arrived and entered the residence ... only to find Honeycutt lying on the ground, unresponsive.
On Saturday afternoon, the official LAPD Twitter account die not cite Honeycutt by name, but did provide an update on the situation from the evening before, writing:
Regarding last nights Officer-Involved Shooting in Van Nuys Division, it appears as if the suspect was not struck by any officer’s gunfire.
The suspect appears to have sustained injuries consistent with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
TMZ reports that a gun was found inside the premises, near Honeycutt's body, and it is presumed he took his own life.
This same website says that Honeycutt's mother was the person who called police Friday, saying her son was acting erratically on Friday.
The former college star's family has confirmed his passing to a local ABC affiliate, while his agent has done the same to the Russian team for whom Honeycutt had been playing professionally.
No officers were injured in the altercation, according to LAPD.
Meanwhile, several residents in the area had been evacuated as a precaution.
Honeycutt earned All-Pac-10 First Team honors in 2011 as a sophomore, leading his team to the NCAA Tournament.
He was then drafted by the Sacramento Kings in the second roundon tha NBA Draft, playing sporadically for two seasons with them, before heading to Europe to continue his career.
He most recently played with Moscow's BC Khimki.
Former Kings teammate DeMarcus Cousins was one of several players to mourn Honeycutt's death on social media, Tweeting this afternoon after the tragic news broke:
"Prayers up for his family and friends. Rest easy bro!"
Honeycutt’s coach at Khimki, Giorgios Bartzokas, was too overwhelmed to comment, saying simply when asked by reporters:
“I am sorry I cannot talk right now, I am really sad.”
Added New Orleans Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday:
"Still can’t believe this... Rest In Peace to my brother Tyler Honeycutt."
Our thoughts and condolences go out to the friends, family members and loved ones of Tyler Honeycutt.
May he rest in peace.

A former UCLA basketball star and NBA player for several seasons with the Sacramento Kings is dead after an apparent police shootout and standoff on Saturday morning.
Tyler Honeycutt, just 27 years old, was pronounced dead on Saturday morning at his home in Los Angeles from what is right now being called a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The former basketball star was apparently involved in some type of "hours-long standoff" with the LAPD, though it's not immediately clear what led to it, or why he was being targeted by cops.
At one point, police allege there was some type of shootout between Honeycutt and officers, though the cops are right now claiming the former basketball star was not struck by police bullets during the alleged gun battle.
Instead, cops are claiming Honeycutt "appears to have sustained injuries consistent with a self-inflicted gunshot wound."
Cops are further claiming that once a SWAT team was able to bust into Honeycutt's house, where they found him unresponsive and pronounced him dead, they also found a gun on the scene that they believe was the suicide weapon.
This all apparently started when Honeycutt's mother called the police on Friday afternoon, concerned that her son was behaving erratically, and things escalated from there, according to TMZ.
Honeycutt had been a star basketball player at UCLA, including earning himself All-Conference honors in 2011, before he was drafted into the NBA by the Kings.
He played in Sacramento for two seasons there, and later spent time in Europe playing pro basketball, as well.
Again... he was just 27 years old.
Very sad. R.I.P., Tyler Honeycutt...

OK, so it's been five months now since Kylie Jenner gave birth to her daughter, Stormi.
She's been a mother for five months, and it's still just too wild to believe, right?
In 2028, we will still be talking about how wild it is?
Probably, yeah, to be honest.
Kylie Jenner gave birth to her first child at 20 years old, the father is some guy she'd been dating for a couple of weeks before getting knocked up, and it's literally always going to be a crazy story.
But this is just the way things are now, so at some point, we just have to get used to it and carry on.
And judging by this new video Kylie shared on her YouTube channel, she's carrying right on with her classic vain ways.
The video is a Q&A with her best friend, Jordyn Woods -- they asked for questions on Twitter, picked some out, then discussed them.
First, they talked about how they met (through mutual friends in middle school, nothing too thrilling there).
Then they answered a question about which one takes the longest to get ready (Kylie) and a question about Kylie Cosmetics.
But then someone asked Jordyn about her weight loss, and that's where things got interesting.
Jordyn said that at first, she wasn't intentionally trying to lose weight, but when she did start trying, being consistent was key, as was figuring out a way to enjoy working out.
Kylie told her that she motivates her, then revealed that she'd "planned my first workout on Monday" -- it sounds like she hasn't worked out at all since giving birth.
"I'm not even doing it to get in shape," she explained, "even though after Stormi I feel like people think that I like bounced back super fast, which I guess I did."
She said that people "get the wrong idea on Instagram sometimes," because everything is not totally back to normal with her body.
"Especially at such a young age, to see your body go through such a change," she said, "and it is physically, emotionally and mentally a challenge."
But she added that pregnancy is "also a beautiful thing, and it was such a great pregnancy and birth and I'm so happy and I would have done the same thing over again."
She's not the greatest at maintaining one train of thought, huh?
But she tries, bless her heart.
Getting to her original point, she revealed that "my boobs are like three times the size, which bothers me. I have stretch marks on my boobs, my stomach isn't the same, my waist isn't the same, my butt's bigger, my thighs are bigger."
"It's just a change, and honestly I'm finding like I have to change my style a little because nothing in my closet fits my from before."
"I really want to gain my core back," she added. "I feel like I have fake abs now, like it's just genetics, but I want real abs."
"I know I can have a super fit body, but just for my health, I want to do this."
It's not surprising to hear any of this -- we've heard rumors for a long time about how insecure her pregnancy had made her.
Which, to be fair, is totally normal, especially for someone like Kylie, a young woman who's built much of her career on being hot.
It's very possible that her body will never go back to the way it was before, even with the help of plastic surgery or Snapchat filters or whatever else.
But if working out is going to make her feel better, then more power to her, right?
If you watched Teen Mom 2 this week, then you know what a roller coaster ride of an episode it was.
We got to see Chelsea Houska do a sweet little gender reveal for her husband, Cole DeBoer, which was adorable and wonderful and precious.
But then we saw Leah Messer discuss her daughter's increasing health problems, which, as always, was positively heartbreaking.
Briana DeJesus was dealing with her breakup with Javi Marroquin, which was pretty whatever, but the best part of her segments was her sister, Brittany, comforting her while on painkillers after a wisdom tooth removal.
Kailyn Lowry's segments dealt with Javi too, but we also got to see Isaac's birthday -- so cute!
And then there's Jenelle Evans.
In the previous episode we'd learned that David Eason had just been fired, so of course in this week's show, Jenelle explained that he'd just been refusing to film for his own personal reasons.
In another scene, she gave us a good example of her lack of parenting skills when she explained to her mother Barbara that she hadn't given Jace his medication because he was "fine," because that's how medicine works.
She also didn't return the medication she didn't give him to Barb.
Barbara asked Jenelle out to lunch, but Jenelle shut her down because she was too busy, and then we saw Jace and Barb back at home.
He told her that Jenelle didn't allow him to call her, which is awful, and then he told her that the whole family had gone out on the boat for a big, fun day.
Well, the whole family minus Kaiser, who they stuck in daycare.
Barbara was upset at that news, because it doesn't sound fair to exclude poor Kaiser when they actually do something fun. She said that it broke her heart.
And then Jace actually said "Mommy and David are pieces of sh-t."
Barbara looked shocked and asked him what he'd said, so he repeated himself, and he spit on the ground for good measure.
She didn't say anything, because what can you say after something like that? Then the episode ended.
A lot of Teen Mom 2 fans had a lot of feelings about the moment -- most were as shocked as Barb was.
Some thought that he was repeating something he'd heard from her, but others thought that the phrasing sounded something more like David would say, particularly with the spitting on the ground for emphasis.
Regardless, most people agreed that it really did seem like he was fully aware of what he was saying, and that he meant it.
Since it was the last scene of the episode, and since the next episode obviously hasn't aired yet, we don't know how Barbara ended up dealing with what Jace said, or if Jenelle heard about it before watching the episode.
But since Jenelle is Jenelle, she's discussing the issue on Twitter in the dumbest manner possible.
Early this morning, she tweeted "If Jace lived with me he wouldn't have ever spoke those words about ANYONE."
"Thought me and my mom were actually building our relationship lately and now it's two steps back."
There are approximately a million things wrong with this one short tweet, but let's try to break it down anyway, all right?
For one, why is she blaming her mother for this?
Sure, Jace may have heard the sentiment from her originally, but it's not like she forced the kid to say it.
And since this was filmed several months ago, it shouldn't have an impact on any progress their relationship is making now.
Also, why on earth does she think that anyone would actually believe that Jace wouldn't talk like this if he lived with her?
We've seen Jenelle and David both be absolutely horrible to all kinds of people -- David's called Kaiser a "screaming little bitch," he's called Dr. Drew a "f-g," and it's impossible to keep up with all the names he's called Nathan Griffith.
Throughout the years we've seen Jenelle say awful things about Barbara in front of Jace, too.
If Jace lived with Jenelle and David, he'd almost certainly being saying worse about several people.
And let's be real, it's not like Jace was wrong in his original statement, anyway.
Does she forget that she's been on a reality show for the better part of a decade and that lots of people are familiar with her life and her personality?
Because anyone who's ever seen like ten minutes of her footage would be able to tell you that her statement on this subject is absolute nonsense, and it's a little embarrassing that she's trying to act like she could raise Jace better than Barbara is.
Jenelle, just ... stop, girl. Just stop for a little bit.
I want to give Jordyn jones the credit she deserves, I really do. But I feel like I have to give credit where credit is due, and Jordyn would be nothing without the support of her phenomenal backgrounds.
Would you just take a moment to appreciate the woodwork of the bench that she is sitting on. I have seen a number of benches in my day, I have even slept on a couple in times of need, but it is rare to see woodworking that looks like it would be so comfortable. It is almost as if it is welcoming you to lie down on it. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a pillow mint sitting at the end of it. If I saw Jordyn sitting on that bench in the real world I would be tempted to roundhouse kick her off of it in order to get a quick nap.
And as if that bench was not enough, she goes and rubs her ass on one of the most attractive looking rocks that I have ever laid eyes upon. I seriously expect that boulder to have its own page on IMDB. The joking is over now. I have heard of people marrying inanimate objects, but I get it now. And I apologize for all of the jokes I made.

The post 18-Year Old Instagram Model Jordyn Jones Is So God Damn Hot appeared first on Egotastic - Sexy Celebrity Gossip and Entertainment News.
He's no longer a secret, folks.
He's no longer a mystery.
He has a name and an age and a very pretty lady on his arm.
Earlier this week, multiple outlets reported that Leah Messer had a new boyfriend.
Following two divorces for Messer and a series of failed flings, Teen Mom 2 fans were excited for Leah and curious to learn more about this hopefully very nice, caring and sensitive older man.
And now we do, in fact, have more to share.
Leah's boyfriend is named Jason Jordan.
He is 39 years old.
He has been dating the MTV personality for about three months and, a source tells Us Weekly, the romance is "getting serious" already.
The pair met through Messer's cousin and took a vacation to Florida this past week, where they were photographed holding hands and smiling.
“Even though he’s older, they have a lot in common,” this insider tells the aforementioned celebrity gossip publication, adding:
“They share the same faith and have gone to church together. They love hiking, cooking and are both very family oriented. He’s very attentive.”
Messer, of course, has three kids.
She shares eight-year-old twin daughters Ali and Aleeah with her ex-husband Corey Simms.
She also shares five-year-old daughter Adalynn with her ex-husband Jeremy Calvert, with whom she actually hooked up a few months ago.
Leah contemplated getting back together with this ex-husband earlier this year and their unusual relationship is currently playing out on season 8 of Teen Mom 2.
But it's clear at this point that there's no romantic future for Messer and Calvert.
As for what we know about Leah's new man?
“Jason has a 2-year old and Leah has met him,” the source tells Us Weekly.
“She hasn’t really dated since her breakup from Jeremy, so she was a little nervous to introduce him to the kids, but they absolutely love him.”
Jordan had this child with his ex-wife, to whom he was married from June of 2014 through October of 2017.
He reportedly played basketball in college and then actually made a career out of this sport via some organization called Hoops Vision from 2001-2002.
There days, Jordan has built successful job for himself within the world of medical sales.
He also lives near Messer in West Virginia.
“He’s super thoughtful,” the above tabloid source states.
“He will leave flowers for the girls and notes for Leah on her car. It’s progressing forward … They’re just enjoying each other in the moment.”
As you might expect, Leah has received some backlash for dating an older man, but she's also received some support for a handful of Instagram users.
Will this be the relationship that sticks for Messer?
It's still too early to know for sure.
Will Jordan appear on future episodes of Teen Mom 2?
It's also too early to know for sure.
But we're happy for Leah at the moment and we hope this romance works out for her.
Lord know, the mother of three has been through a lot of late.
