Five months after their bus crashed into a tractor-trailer and killed 16 team members of the Humboldt Broncos, two of the survivors returned to the ice.
Brayden Camrud and Derek Patter suited up on Wednesday night for the season opener of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, according to the Saskatoon Star Phoenix. The Broncos played the Nipawin Hawks in the first game of the season but fell short to their competitors, losing 2-1.
“It’s exciting,” Camrud said to the local publication prior to the game’s start. “At the same time, it’s scary, it’s overwhelming, it’s going to be sad — we’re paying tribute to the boys.”
A day ahead of the season opener, TSN released an original 12-minute film where they spoke to Camrud and Patter about the unimaginable tragedy and their return to hockey alongside many new team members.
“I’m just going to play for the guys that can’t play hockey anymore,” Patter told TSN. “To represent those 29 families, 29 people that were on that bus.”
Camrud and Patter were onboard the 28-passenger bus in April when it collided with a tractor-trailer in western Canada’s Saskatchewan province. The team, made up of athletes aged 16 to 20, was on its way to a playoff game in the town of Nipawin — the same town that the Broncos opened their 2018 season against.
Of the 29 people who were on the bus at the time of the crash, including team members, coaches, support staff, and the bus driver, 16 people were killed — 10 of them being players — while 13 others were injured. Camrud and Patter are the only two players to survive the crash and return to the sport.
“I thought it was important to the community of Humboldt that I don’t bail on them,” Camrud told TSN.
Prior to Wednesday’s game, community members showed their support to the Broncos by leaving hockey sticks outside of their front doors. Many shared photos on social media, paying tribute to the team with #HumboldtStrong and acknowledged how the community will “never forget” the unimaginable tragedy.

Ahead of the 6:45 p.m. start, a press conference reportedly occurred with players and their family members who spoke out about the accident. Former player and crash survivor Kaleb Dahlgren told reporters, “I think it means, honestly, everything for this team to be playing hockey again.”
As the sold-out crowd began to roll in, members of the original team gathered for an emotional moment prior to puck-drop. Though Camrud and Patter were the only two players suited up, their other surviving teammates — one of who is currently in a wheelchair — made an appearance and lined up next to each other on the ice during the National Anthem.
Outside the rink, Humboldt’s Spotlight business sold T-shirts, where already more than 15,000 of them were purchased following the bus crash in April. Of those proceeds, $300,000 have gone directly towards the Humboldt Strong Community Foundation, the Saskatoon Star Phoenix reports.
Following the game, a Banner Tribute ceremony took place, honoring those who died in the crash. Each banner that was revealed featured the name of the fallen player, as well as their number. During the ceremony, the 150 plus first responders who were on the scene of the crash were also honored.

Though the team reportedly had no captain for this year’s season (as a way to pay respect to the late Logan Schatz who held that position last season, but didn’t get to complete it) the returners are embracing their leadership role while also remembering their fallen teammates.
“I think about a little bit of it every single day, whether it be the accident itself, or how guys are doing, how my parents might be feeling,” Camrud told the Saskatoon Star Phoenix. “At the end of the day, you’ve got to make sure everybody’s doing well. You’ve got to check in, and be a great human.”
Added the 20-year-old athlete: “This year, my responsibility is to be a leader for these new guys we brought into our team, and I’m going to be the best guy I can.”
On Wednesday, the 25-year-old “Be Careful” rapper shared an Instagram of her debut album Invasion of Privacy holding the number three spot on 2018’s Top 10 Best Selling Hip-Hop Albums.
“NUMBERS DONT F—– LIE,” Cardi captioned the post. The breakout star, who recently gave birth to her first child– daughter Kulture Kiari with husband Offset in July, then uploaded a video from a concert she gave in 2016.

Cardi’s fiery responses follow behind the accusations Nicki, 35, made on her Apple Music Beats 1 show Queen Radio on Monday.
“You knew that when that footage came out, you were about to look dumb,” Nicki said in reference to their altercation at the Harper’s Bazaar ICONS party during New York Fashion Week Friday.
“So your team, they hurry up and put out a statement. I didn’t stop anyone’s bags. She had to say that because she has built her career of sympathy and payola,” Nicki added, referring to the practice of paying radio stations to play a song.

Cardi previously addressed Nicki’s “payola” claim on Monday by posting a video of fans shouting the lyrics to “Bodak Yellow” at Beyonce and Jay-Z’s OTRII. “On the run 2 tour!! REAL LIFE, REAL LOVE,” Cardi wrote.
Also on Queen Radio, Nicki went into further detail about their fight. “The other night I was part of something so mortifying and so humiliating to go through in front of a bunch upper echelon people who have their life together.”
“I was in a Gaultier gown — off the motherf—— runway– and I could not believe how humiliated we all felt.”
Moments before the fight, “Cardi walked towards Nicki and all of sudden Cardi started screaming something about her child. She was yelling, ‘Bitch you feisty. Bitch don’t talk s— about my child’ at Nicki,” a source previously told PEOPLE.
Cardi later “threw her shoe because she couldn’t get through” to Nicki. Cardi was then escorted out of the building. In photographs, the young artist was seen walking barefoot with a welt on her forehead.
“Nothing seemed to start the fight other than Cardi seeing Nicki up close,” an eyewitness explained. “It definitely seems to stem from deeply rooted issues.”
That same night, Cardi explained her reason for fighting on Instagram. “I’ve let a lot of s— slide! I let you sneak diss me, I let you lie on me, I let you attempt to stop my bags, f— up the way I eat!”
“But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f—– off!!”
However, Nicki denies she ever mentioned Cardi’s daughter. “I just want people to know that Onika Tanya Maraj has never, will never… speak ill on anyone’s child. I am not a clown. That’s clown s—.”
A pregnant mother of four has died after a suspected drunk driver crashed into her Chrysler minivan in California.
Professional boxer Marcos Forestal, 28, was allegedly intoxicated when his BMW plowed head-on into expectant mom Krystil Kincaid in Hemet on Sunday around 8.30pm, the Helmet Police Department said in a statement.
Arriving on scene shortly after the crash, police found Kincaid’s car “partially on fire” with the 8 months pregnant woman trapped, police said. Emergency responders were able to extinguish the blaze and the 29-year-old woman was airlifted to a nearby hospital.
Her unborn baby died and Kincaid was put on life support, however, doctors pronounced her dead the following day, a GoFundMe set up for the family said.
Officers found Forestal, who is the World Boxing Federation International Super Bantamweight champion, walking near his vehicle on the scene, authorities said.
“Forestal displayed symptoms of alcohol intoxication and was arrested,” the Helmet Police Department continued.
In the video, Forestal, who sustained only minor injuries, shows viewers his totaled car while saying, “Look what happened to me, guys.”
“A car crossed in front of me and look what happened to my car,” the Cuban boxer, who currently resides in Burbank in Los Angeles, says in Spanish in the video.
Heartbreakingly, Kincaid was on the phone with her husband Zach during the time of the crash, according to KTLA.
Zach, who was married to Kincaid for 12 years, told the outlet he heard his wife scream before the impact. He also heard the firefighters trying to pull her from the vehicle.
The heartbroken father of four told friends and family about the tragic incident on Facebook. “My life has been full of adversity, but today I experienced the hardest thing i have ever done.”
“I told my 2 daughters and my 2 sons that a drunk driver killed their mom. The pain and anger I feel within my soul is immeasurable, my heart is broken. Until we meet again Raven…Krystil Kincaid.”
Zach told KTLA that his children — his daughter, 14, from a previous relationship and the couple’s three children, their 11-year-old daughter and two sons, aged 8 and 4 — arrived at the hospital thinking the baby had arrived early.
“They thought they had a baby sister here,” Zach told the station. “They got the worst news of their life. They were told that they don’t have a mom, or a baby sister, anymore.”
According to The Press-Enterprise, the couple planned to name the baby Avalynn Onix.
The father of four told the publication he was willing to forgive the alleged drunk driver until he saw the Facebook Live video.
“It wasn’t until I saw that, that I was upset with his lack of humanity and compassion,” he told the paper. “It seems to be the kind of person he was. At that moment, I came to the realization that he just killed my wife and my child, and that he only cares for himself. Hopefully, some prison time will allow him to reflect and be a better person when he comes out.”
Forestal was intially arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated and causing a collision that resulted in major injuries. Following Kincaid’s passing, the boxer’s charge was upgraded to gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
Forestal faced court Wednesday and plead not guilty according to The Press-Enterprise. It was not immediately clear if he had legal representation.

On Wednesday’s all-new episode of The Real Housewives of Dallas, Locken had a heart-to-heart with her longtime friend Simmons and warned her about getting too close to Redmond, explaining, “I don’t trust her.”
If Locken seems extra-cautious, that’s because she’s been betrayed by Redmond in the past. Like with Simmons, Locken and Redmond got off to a rocky start, butting heads throughout RHOD‘s first season. They put that animosity behind them in season 2 and became close. But when Locken let her guard down, Redmond turned on Locken and called her “a f—— liar and f—— bitch.”
So far in season 3, they’ve had a truce, staying on good terms. And while it appears Locken has forgiven Redmond, she hasn’t forgotten. “I can sweep everything under the rug and still be cautious,” Locken told Simmons while warning her about Redmond.
“I know what she’s capable of. I’ve been the victim of her. My heart has been hurt and shredded by her,” Locken added.
Locken went on to say that she was worried Redmond was using Simmons to hurt her.
“I wasn’t going to say something to you because I don’t want you to be like, ‘You just don’t want Brandi and I to be friends,’ which is not the case. I just don’t want you to think I have ulterior motives,” Locken said. “But she knows that you and I have deep foundations and she’s going to go to use that foundation to get to me. And that’s what scares me with her.”
For what it’s worth, Simmons wasn’t swayed. “I guess we have to see what unfolds. As my grandmother always says, ‘The proof is in the pudding,’ ” she said.
“I’m a big girl and you need to let me have my experience with Brandi. We had a great time together and we made a breakthrough,” Simmons continued. “I hear what you say, I’m keeping it in the back of my mind. Proceed with caution.”
Simmons didn’t seem to be too cautious when she hung out with Redmond next, at a rodeo they went to with Locken and Kameron Westcott. There, Simmons — she was was celebrating her 49th birthday — opened up about the pressures of being raised in Dallas society.
“Growing up D’Andra Simmons, anything I did was judged as to whether or not it was acceptable in Dallas society,” she said. “My appearance, my behavior, my attitude, I’m really sick of it. I don’t care anymore, I don’t want to be a part of it. I want to move on to the next phase in my life and do what makes me happy.”
“This is my year to figure things out,” Simmons added. “I’m at a big crossroads with my mom and my business and my friendships. It’s okay if I don’t make everyone happy, or my family happy.”
She had Redmond’s support. “If somebody doesn’t want to accept her for who she is, than f— them,” Redmond said. “At the end of the day, she needs to be happy and she needs to be who she is.”
“I want to be your friend and I love who you are when you’re fun and you don’t care what other people think,” Redmond added. “It makes me sad that you feel the need to apologize for who you are.”
Her words meant a lot to Simmons. “Brandi has been successful at being herself her entire life,” Simmons confessed. “I’m at the point in my life where that’s where I aspire to be as well. So having a friend in Brandi is really important to me because I have somebody who understands and celebrates the fact that I want to be who I really am.”

Later, Simmons told Redmond just how much she appreciated that they’ve been able to connect. But she also let Redmond know that Locken had concerns.
“I didn’t expect to like you so much,” Simmons said. “I talked to LeeAnne and she said, ‘Brandi is never going to be your friend. You’re going to get hurt.’ And I said, ‘I understand that you think you’re protecting me, but I have to make my own decision about a friend.’ You and I have to figure out our own path.”
Hearing that upset Redmond.
“LeeAnne, I thought you were moving forward? So why are you encouraging other people not to be friends with me,” Redmond asked audiences. “That’s such a slap in the face. … I’m starting to think that LeeAnne might be a little jealous of my friendship with D’Andra.”
“If that’s the way she feels, I can’t be friends with her,” Redmond said of Locken before episode’s end.

It's been a while since Lena Dunham has done anything to warrant the attention of us slavering hellhounds in the gossip-sphere.
It could have to do with the fact that she's adopted a more low-key lifestyle these days and turned her attention to, in her words, "pursuing slow meaningful spiritual progress."
Of course, it's equally possible that we all simultaneously decided to stop regularly checking her social media accounts for any number of valid reasons.
(Public interest in her personal life has been on the decline ever since Girls ended; she seems to google herself constantly despite being cursed with very thin skin; Lena-related gossip frequently centers around "hard pass" subject matter like vaginas crammed full of pebbles, etc.)
Whatever the case, there's less Lena in your life these days, and we don't need a focus group to know that you're probably okay with that.
But the never-reliable Star magazine decided to dip its toe back in the Lena pond this week, and despite the high probability that this story is total BS (again, Star magazine) we decided it's amusing enough to share with you.
As you may recall, back in January, Lena and Jack Antonoff broke up after six years of dating.
By all accounts, the split was mutual and amicable, but it seems Lena misses more about the relationship than just quipping "I hope you bought Anton a drink first!" every time someone said her boyfriend's full name.
An "insider" tells Star that Lena is still hung up on Jack in a big way, and her obsession is beginning to take a toll on his new relationship.
“She calls Jack at least five times a day, all in the name of ‘friendship’ – and she always talks to him right before she goes to bed,” says the anonymous friend.
“She’ll text him photos of her private parts at like 1 a.m. At that point, he just turns the phone off.”
Not surprisingly, the source also claims that Jack's new girlfriend, Carlotta Kohl, is less than thrilled with the situation.
“Half the time she spent with him, he was on the phone with his ex!” says the tipster of a recent date between Jack and Carlotta.
We figure September is a good time to get around to our New Year's resolution of trying something new every day, so we're actually gonna defend Lena instead of making a bunch of easy jokes at her expense.
Here goes nothing:
Lena Dunham is probably not sending unsolicited vadge pics to her ex-boyfriend, and the only way this source could sound more made-up is if it called the situation "steamy," or used some other word that's only ever been used by tabloid writers.
Now if you'll excuse us, this small act of decency has made us feel all out of sorts.
We're gonna go kick a puppy or vote Republican or something to balance ourselves out.
I have never drank out of an actual coconut before, and at this point I do not think I ever will. That is a decision that I am making for myself, and not one that someone else is making for me. I am an adult now and can make my own decisions, Mom.
The reason I do not want to drink from one is because the act has been so built up in my mind, I do not think that there is any way the real thing can live up to my own imaginings. Every paradise setting in fiction has a character drinking out of a coconut, making it seem like pure bliss, but I have never experienced that kind of emotion from a drink that did not include exorbitant amounts of alcohol.
I have had coconut milk before, but it was not the pure stuff. It had all sorts of additives, so I am sure it is way better than the real thing. Added sugar always makes things taste better. And what happens to the meat inside the coconut? Does that get thrown away, or do they crack it open and give you a spoon? If they throw it away it seems like a great waste of resources that I cannot be partnered to.

New York Fashion Week is one of those times when even the most apathetic towards fashion among us prick up our ears and pay attention. It’s a pretty sexy time to be alive whenever fashion week rolls around, and I couldn’t be happier that we’re right in the midst of it.
This year there were lots of hotties strutting their stuff. First up is Victoria Justice, who always looks radiant, but really sparkles in a blue ensemble. Charlotte McKinney was red hot in red and black, and gave me some Les Mis flashbacks.
Then you’ve got Katie Holmes looking great in white. That color suits her well, as it does Alisha Marie, who was also looking virginal in white. Finally there’s Karrueche Tran, doing her thing and turning heads while doing it.
I could care less about fashion most days of the year, and I still kinda could care less about fashion as I write this sentence. Rest assured, however, that so long as unbelievably hot women like Victoria Justice, Charlotte McKinney, Katie Holmes, Alisha Marie, and Karrueche Tran are out there advocating for it, we’re all paying attention!

Jessie James Decker has all the confidence in the world regarding her parenting prowess.
In a chat with PEOPLE at her debut New York Fashion Week Show for her brand Kittenish on Monday, the 30-year-old singer and fashion designer shared how she has combated the backlash she received after breastfeeding her son Forrest Bradley, 5 months, while drinking a glass of wine.
“I honestly feel like I’m the voice of all the moms,” said Decker. “I definitely feel like they get heat for certain things. I know I’m a great mother, there’s not one doubt in my mind. I know that I take care of my babies, I know that they feel loved and they feel happy. I don’t have nannies; I take care of my children.”
“So if I want to have a cocktail to celebrate my husband doing something great in his work, I’m going to, and I can still breastfeed,” added Decker, whose new book Just Jessie: My Guide to Love, Life, Family and Food is out Oct. 2.
“I feel like I want to be a voice for those moms that feel heat from others, or feel judgment because this is a hard job, and if you want to enjoy yourself you do it.”

The Eric & Jessie: Game On star explained to PEOPLE that she has a “we’re all in this together” mindset when it comes to supporting her fellow mothers.
“I’ll talk to random moms that I meet at Gymboree and I’m like, ‘Hey, what’s going on with that? How do you do that?’ I’m always asking questions,” she revealed.
“And the same with me, girls asking questions,” added Decker, who is also mom to son Eric “Bubby” Thomas Jr., 3, and daughter Vivianne “Vivi” Rose, 4. “I just want all of us to feel like we’re in the same boat.”
RELATED VIDEO: Eric and Jessie James Decker Welcome Son Forrest Bradley
While being a parent of three means balancing her kids’ individual needs, luckily for her, Decker’s third child — who joined the entire family in the front row of Decker’s fashion show — is about as laid-back as an infant can be.
“He just goes with the flow,” she told PEOPLE of Forrest. “After three children, you kind of know what to expect and he’s been super easy and just chill and the kids love him. And Vivi trying to change his diaper and pick him up, and I’m like ‘Ahh!’ But it’s good.”
Does that mean more kids could be in her and husband Eric Decker‘s future? “He wants more kids. Oh, my lord,” Decker said. “But no, he’s going to be doing some special things. There’s some things in the works and we’re excited about it.”
Though their last film—2016’s Hail Caesar—wasn’t exactly another home run, The Coen Brothers always manage to draw interest to their films thanks to their uniqueness. The Brothers now embark on their first film for Netflix with The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, set to debut on the streaming platform in November.
Originally envisioned as a six-part miniseries, the material has been condensed into a single film following the character of Buster Scruggs (O Brother‘s Tim Blake Nelson) as he interacts with a number of supremely strange characters in their latest Western. It’s funny that my biggest gripe with Hail Caesar is that it felt like it should have been expanded into a much longer miniseries type thing as every storyline got short shrift in a two hour movie.
I can’t imagine this film, which actually began life as a miniseries, is going to overcome that same issue. However, if anyone can make it work, it’s The Coen Brothers. Check out the synopses for each segment of the film below, and tune in when The Ballad of Buster Scruggs debuts on Netflix and in select theaters on November 16.

Nothing against the one-legged women of the world, but Emmy Rossum is sex on two legs. I sincerely hope that no one takes offense at that, because it was meant as a compliment, not an insult by exclusion.
Look, let’s start over. It was originally titled …Emmy Rossum is Sex on Legs. That, to me, felt like a potential insult to anyone or anything without legs. Better to exclude the one-legged folks than the no-legged folks, I suppose.
This isn’t going well. I’ve tried reworking this whole thing with Emmy Rossum and Sex and Legs a couple of times now and it’s not working out. I feel like no matter what sort of combination of those words I use, I end up excluding someone, and that sort of thing just isn’t my bag, baby.
I was quoting Austin Powers, damn it. I’m not demeaning anyone through my use of the word baby. I was using a dated reference as a means of making a joke and it obviously backfired in spectacular fashion. Maybe a Borat joke would’ve been more tasteful.
You know what, I’m done here. Enjoy Emmy Rossum’s sexiest pics in honor of her 32nd birthday!

Fred Durst is facing the music.
The Limp Bizkit frontman has filed for divorce from Kseniya Beryazina Durst, his wife of about six years, TMZ reported.
News surfaced in 2015 that Durst, 48, and Kseniya, a Ukrainian makeup artist, had been married since 2012, according to TMZ. The couple, who do not have children together, reportedly wed at an estate in San Diego.
A rep for Durst did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
Durst and Tergesen share daughter Adriana, 27, while the rocker shares 12-year-old son Dallas with ex-girlfriend Jennifer Thayer.

“It just became a fiasco of madness,” Durst added. “ I always stay true to my heart and true to everything I did and my intentions, and I am in no way a liar.”

For me, it’s real easy to say I love reality television. I know some people really don’t like it or they look down on those who do, but when you have someone as hot as Natalie Nunn on your TV screen, I really don’t know you don’t tune in every week.
I know it’s fake so, that probably makes easier for me to watch. Well, that and seeing Natalie Nunn once a week is the best reason, you can see why. Seeing her in this bikini really makes me wonder why there isn’t some kind of bikini reality show. Some network should really get all hotties from every single reality show and see if they want to compete in some kind of bikini contest. The winner could get like a bikini modeling contract for some retailer or something. I don’t know, I’m just spit-balling here because I want more chances to see Natalie Nunn in a bikini. I don’t think she’s going anywhere and she’s probably traveling to a few more warm places so, we probably won’t run low on Natalie Nunn pics, still, a TV show would be pretty great.
Think of reality TV as wrestling, just tune in for the fun parts, but instead of body slams and double crosses it’s Natalie Nunn’s cleavage and Natalie Nunn’s super sexy bikini body.

Karlie Kloss doesn’t have to be accepting of the Trumps just because she’s marrying a Kushner.
The notoriously private supermodel, 26, spoke subtly about her relationship with Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and the White House in an interview with Vogue published on Tuesday. Kloss is engaged to Joshua Kushner, the younger brother of the White House senior adviser, who’s married to the president’s daughter. After Kloss announced the news on social media, Trump, 36, commented, calling Kloss her “sister.”
“At the end of the day, I’ve had to make decisions based on my own moral compass—forget what the public says, forget social media,” Kloss told the magazine. “I’ve chosen to be with the man I love despite the complications. It’s frustrating, to be honest, that the spotlight is always shifted away from my career toward my relationship. I don’t think the same happens in conversations with men.”
The Kode with Klossy founder also talked more explicitly about her and her fiancé’s political views: “Josh and I share a lot of the same liberal values that guide our lives and the things we stand for.” She added, “We’ve really grown together personally and professionally. Josh knows that I’m just a nerdy, curious human being. I think that’s why he loves me. We have each other’s back.”

After dating for six years, Kloss and Kushner got engaged earlier this summer during a romantic weekend in Upstate New York, a source told PEOPLE at the time. “They’re both overjoyed and happily celebrating. Their hearts are full and they’re excited to build their future together,” the source said.
Kloss also confirmed on Instagram, posting a sunset selfie of her new fiancé. “I love you more than I have words to express,” she wrote. “Josh, you’re my best friend and my soulmate. I can’t wait for forever together. Yes a million times over ”

Last week, fans were stunned to learn that Mac Miller had passed away at the age of 26.
Though it was reported as an apparent drug overdose, police did not really find evidence of that when they searched the late rapper's home.
And now his death certificate has come back ... with no real answers for his fans and loved ones.
TMZ reports that the L.A. County medical examiner's report has come back on Mac Miller, but it's not giving people the closure that they seek.
Right now, Miller's cause of death is "deferred."
That means that the medical examiner is still unprepared to rule on his official cause of death.
Naturally, the office is awaiting the results of Miller's toxicology panel. We imagine that they will leave no stone unturned as they test for substances.
Unfortunately, that may take a while. TMZ notes that toxicology results tend to take 4 to 6 weeks to come back.
So the world will have to wait until October, most likely, for confirmation of Miller's cause of death and that much needed closure.
But issuing a death certificate before the toxicology results come back is no fool's errand -- it has a purpose.
TMZ notes that the release of this document means that Miller's family can obtain the body and make plans to bury, cremate, or otherwise lay him to rest.
It also means that the medical examiner probably did not find anything suspicion during the examination -- no odd fractures or ligature marks that might indicate that Miller's death was merely staged to resemble an overdose.
While the toxicology results will hopefully bring the family a degree of closure, the certificate will allow them to honor his memory and his death.
As we mentioned, police searched Miller's home, but did not find what you'd expect to see in the home of a man with a substance abuse problem.
Police found only a small amount of white powder, but did not find drugs, pill bottles, or drug paraphernalia.
Reaching the natural conclusion that Miller did not clean his house, then overdose, they came to believe that someone purged Miller's home of all drugs before police had the chance to do a sweep.
It seems most likely that a well-intentioned friend of Miller's hoped to avoid awkwardness or embarrassment for Miller's family and memory.
But, in general, it's best to let investigators see as much evidence as possible when someone has died.
Miller was last seen alive on the night of Thursday, Septeber 6. He had friends at his home.
He was scheduled for a video shoot on Friday, but was found unresponsive that day, resulting in a 9-1-1 call at around noon.
Emergency responders arrived, but pronounced him dead at the scene.
It is unclear exactly when he may have passed away, but so far, no one has come forward to claim that they saw him alive after Thursday night.
This is heartbreaking for his fans, his friends, and most of all, for his closest loved ones.
Unfortunately, some people had the sheer audacity to blame Ariana Grande for Mac Miller's death.
These awful trolls claimed that if Ariana had simply continued to date him as some sort of human emotional support blanket, he would still be alive.
Ariana's responsibility is to live her own life. She dated Miller for two years, but ultimately his substance abuse problems played a huge role in their breakup.
The fact that she moved on and found happiness with Pete Davidson does not in any way make her responsible for Miller's death.
Miller wasn't the victim of a breakup. He was the victim of addiction.
