Priyanka Chopra knows how to get what she wants!
Chopra told PEOPLE exclusively that she gave fiancé Nick Jonas some subtle guidance to help him pick out her dream engagement ring.
“Well, I may have dropped that hint,” Chopra explained during the Tiffany & Co. 2018 Blue Book Collection in New York on Tuesday night. “I think we had a conversation about it when we were dating and I’ve always known it had to be Tiffany.”
“I just knew it since I was a kid,” she said at Studio 525. “First, it was Breakfast at Tiffany’s that did it for every girl in the world and then, of course, Sweet Home Alabama came and put a stamp on it that it has to be Tiffany!”
The actress continued, “Since I was a little girl, it was just something that was stuck in my head and I may have said that and I guess he remembered.”
In Sweet Home Alabama, political hopeful Andrew Hennings (portrayed by Patrick Dempsey) blindfolds his Southern-belle-turned-big-city designer girlfriend Melanie Carmichael (played by Reese Witherspoon) and leads her into dark room. When she asks where they are, the lights turn on to reveal the pair standing inside of the famous Tiffany & Co. flagship store on Fifth Avenue in N.Y.C.
Melanie’s jaw drops and as the store employees look on, Andrew gets down on one knee to give his leading lady the most romantic proposal money could buy.
While Jonas did close down a Tiffany store — as PEOPLE revealed in July — Chopra was not there.
“No, I wasn’t there, he and his brothers went and did a whole thing to buy the ring for his future wife,” she tells PEOPLE.
Jonas, 26, popped the question to Chopra in July. In August, the actress debuted her customized Tiffany & Co. cushion cut diamond with tapered baguettes, captioning the sweet photo with, “Taken.. With all my heart and soul.”

The fondness for the diamond destination seems to run in the family, as Kevin Jonas Sr. was seen exiting the India airport with a big Tiffany & Co. bag in his hand, ahead of meeting Chopra’s family for the first time in August.
During the trip, Jonas and Chopra celebrated their upcoming nuptials with a party in Mumbai, India, that was attended by their respective families and many from her Bollywood circle.
In photos of the bash — known as a roka ceremony — shared by Chopra, Jonas was dressed in traditional Indian apparel.
The internet can be a ruthless place.
Gwen Stefani kicked off the segment by reading a tweet that read, “Gwen Stefani really is the worst thing to ever happen. Period. Full stop. #UghBarf.” After reading the tweet, Stefani, 49, simply said, “Owie.”
Next up were The Chainsmokers, who surprisingly found their mean tweet quite hilarious. “One of my employees was talking about how The Chainsmokers are actually pretty good and don’t deserve all the hate. So I fired him,” the message read.
Tyga also got a kick out of his critique by laughing after a Twitter user said, “TYGA PANTS TO TIGHT. #D***LESS.”
Later, a troll really went for the jugular by saying Pink “is aging pretty well for a big.” However, she wasn’t too offended by the insult because she simply responded by saying making a silly face and saying “Thank you.”
Miley Cyrus was also among those to be savagely targeted by online trolls. “Miley Cyrus is a smelly pirate hooker,” Cyrus, 25, read before flashing her middle finger.
Nickelback followed shortly after reading a tweet that said, “I would rather stab myself in the taint than hear another Nickelback song.”
The band’s frontman Chad Kroeger responded with, “That’s funny— that’s how we make Nickelback songs.”
In Halsey, G-Eazy, Imagine Dragons, Jason Mraz, Luke Bryan, Jason Derulo, Dua Lipa, The Strokes, Elvis Costello, Schoolboy Q and Luke Combs were also good sports and read the tweets about themselves.
It turns out Taylor Swift and Donald Trump don’t like each other much, which is surprising because they’re both the fucking worst. The two were put at odds over Taylor Swift’s decision to stop being apolitical and take a political stance on something.

I’m writing this post about the upcoming midterm elections on November 6th, in which I’ll be voting in the state of Tennessee. In the past I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now. I always have and always will cast my vote based on which candidate will protect and fight for the human rights I believe we all deserve in this country. I believe in the fight for LGBTQ rights, and that any form of discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender is WRONG. I believe that the systemic racism we still see in this country towards people of color is terrifying, sickening and prevalent. I cannot vote for someone who will not be willing to fight for dignity for ALL Americans, no matter their skin color, gender or who they love. Running for Senate in the state of Tennessee is a woman named Marsha Blackburn. As much as I have in the past and would like to continue voting for women in office, I cannot support Marsha Blackburn. Her voting record in Congress appalls and terrifies me. She voted against equal pay for women. She voted against the Reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, which attempts to protect women from domestic violence, stalking, and date rape. She believes businesses have a right to refuse service to gay couples. She also believes they should not have the right to marry. These are not MY Tennessee values. I will be voting for Phil Bredesen for Senate and Jim Cooper for House of Representatives. Please, please educate yourself on the candidates running in your state and vote based on who most closely represents your values. For a lot of us, we may never find a candidate or party with whom we agree 100% on every issue, but we have to vote anyway. So many intelligent, thoughtful, self-possessed people have turned 18 in the past two years and now have the right and privilege to make their vote count. But first you need to register, which is quick and easy to do. October 9th is the LAST DAY to register to vote in the state of TN. Go to vote.org and you can find all the info. Happy Voting!
Hilariously, at least to me, Swift’s refusal to comment on politics ended with her coming out and endorsing two of the worst Democrats in the country. She wants people to vote for a Senate candidate who, as governor, kicked 100,000 people off of Medicaid and wrote a book about how Obamacare was terrible and we should create some arcane system of vouchers in order to preserve corporate profits in health care instead of just having single payer like every other industrialized country in the world. She also voiced her support for incumbent congressperson Rep. Jim Cooper, one of the only Democrats to vote against the Americans With Disabilities Act and was a co-sponsor of the massively unpopular Stop Online Piracy Act which would have massively curtailed the ability of anyone to use the Internet for anything in the interest of putting slightly more money into the pockets of big movie studios.
Of course, when Donald Trump heard about this, he couldn’t let it pass without commenting on it.
After being told Swift announced her opposition to Blackburn and endorsed Bredesen, Trump offered quick praise for Blackburn, who he said “is doing a very good job in Tennessee.”
And then he served Swift with a diss.
“I’m sure Taylor Swift has nothing — or doesn’t know anything about her (Blackburn),” Trump said.
And then he added, with a laugh: “Let’s say that I like Taylor’s music about 25% less now, OK?”
That’s awfully specific. But Donald Trump wasn’t the only person with hilariously stupid opinions on Taylor Swift endorsing a couple of right-wing, neoliberal Democrats.
@taylorswift13 @CMT @FoxNews @cnnbrk #juststfu. My daughter was upset when we shredded her TS CD’sI have always encouraged her to follow your lead. But, as many a-listers have found that people pay your outrageous tickets to listen to you sing, we do not pay to hear ur politics. pic.twitter.com/b2AuGJJLBU

This little gem needs some unpacking, starting with the ratio of over 10 times as many comments as likes. None of them are giving Jerry a thumbs up. What I want to know is how he has a daughter young enough that he can take her things from her but who actually owns CDs.
— Gov. Mike Huckabee (@GovMikeHuckabee) October 8, 2018
Then there was this tweet of the year nominee from Mike Huckabee, father of White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Huckabee took a break from his normal act of making the worst, least funny political dad jokes of anyone in the world to just try giving be straight-up wrong a chance, because Swift’s Instagram post caused a huge spike in voter registration, according to vote.org.
So I guess Taylor Swift isn’t a Nazi after all, she’s just a Kanye West-level thinker who supports politicians that will prevent her money from going to help poor people while paying lip service to a few social issues she cares about.

Emma Watson is taking a step back in time for her upcoming film Little Women.
The 28-year-old actress was photographed on the set of her latest film, an adaptation of the classic Louisa May Alcott novel of the same name.
Watson wore a long blue gown with a light pink cape and her hair in a low bun.
The film centers around the four March sisters who confront growing pains, financial woes, tragedies and romantic rivalries.
Here’s everything we know about the latest adaptation of the film.
It Has an A-List Cast
Watson isn’t the only big name actress on board for the film. The former Harry Potter actress will be portraying the family’s oldest sister, Meg, while Lady Bird actress Saoirse Ronan will play independent Jo.
Ronan is reuniting with her former costar Timothée Chalamet, who will play Jo’s love interest, Laurie.
Lady Bird‘s Greta Gerwig Is Set to Direct
Hot off the heels of her Oscar nominations for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay for Lady Bird, Gerwig is returning to the director’s chair for this film.
Not only is she calling the shots, but Gerwig is also adapting Alcott’s book into the screenplay.
Emma Stone Was Supposed to Play Meg
Before Watson ever joined the film, Emma Stone was originally intended to play Meg. That eventually didn’t work out as Stone, 29, had promotional obligations for The Favourite that conflicted with the film’s shooting schedule, according to Variety.
There Have Been Many Remakes
The book was written in two parts, the first released in 1868 and the second released in 1869. The first film version came out in 1933 and starred Katharine Hepburn, Joan Bennett, Jean Parker and Frances Dee as the March sisters.
In 1949, the film got a remake that starred Elizabeth Taylor as Amy — the youngest March sister. She costarred alongside June Allyson, Margaret O’Brien and Janet Leigh.
Winona Ryder famously played Jo in the 1994 adaptation, alongside Christian Bale as Laurie, Kirsten Dunst as Amy, Susan Sarandon as Marmee and Claire Danes as Beth.
It was recently remade again starring Back to the Future‘s Lea Thompson as Marmee and released last month.
Kendall Jenner, the last (relatively) untouched member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan, has an affinity for thongs. Thankfully, we also have an affinity for checking her out in these super hot thong th-thong thong thongs, which is why we’re taking a tour of all her very sexiest thong-clad moments!
You’ve really got to give Kendall credit for not turning into an inflated monster like her sister Kylie. It’s nice that she doesn’t care about having tits so big it looks like you’re smuggling midgets under your shirt. Not enough women are satisfied with their smaller breasts in this day and age, but they’re an absolutely essential component of any society that claims to love boobs.
Like everyone else in her family, Kendall is a master manipulator of social media, meaning that nearly all of these thong pics come directly from her Instagram account, which—truth be told—is a veritable cornucopia of hot thong pics. Man, try saying “hot thong” five times fast. Fun, right?
We love having fun and so does Kendall, so with so much in common, we should definitely get along. Honestly, so long as Kendall’s showing off her beautiful backside in handsomely appointed thongs, our future together seems very bright.

I’m not sure what the message is that Bella Hadid is sending by wearing a shirt that only covers the top half of her breasts and has the word “FEEL” written on it. Is that an invitation? A commandment? A dare? A challenge? The possibilities we have to ponder are quite limitless.
The younger sister of Gigi Hadid has thrown down the gauntlet on her equally famous sister, and is giving us the opportunity of a lifetime should we happen to encounter Bella Hadid wearing this shirt anywhere in public. She doesn’t seem like the novelty t-shirt type, though.
When I think of Bella Hadid, jeans and novelty t-shirts are not the first things that leap to mind, but so long as that shirt is worn in such a way that her underboob is visible, I’ll absolutely take it.
I feel like this is probably a publicity stunt for some sort of project she’s working on. Feel could be a company or it could be a state of mind. The mysteries presented to us by Bella Hadid in this photo shoot are almost too numerous. I’m going to spend the rest of my night wondering about this whole thing.

The modern era of the BBC’s long-running sci-fi show Doctor Who kicked off with a short-lived revival starring Christopher Eccleston, that eventually grew into a trans-Atlantic phenomenon. Now on their 13th Doctor—and first female Doc—the modern era of the show is getting the Honest Trailers treatment and they’re holding nothing back.
Whether you like Eccleston, David Tennant, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, or Jodie Whittaker the best, there’s plenty here for you to chuckle at like the digs at the show’s—at times—lackluster special effects. I realize it’s all in keeping with the quaint, homemade aesthetic the show has fostered since the very beginning, but come on. Some of those effects from even five or six years ago are super dodgy.
I can’t say I’m the world’s biggest Doctor Who fan. I tend to side with The Iron Sheik on all things Doctor Who…
DOCTOR WHO GIVES A FUCK
— The Iron Sheik (@the_ironsheik) July 16, 2017
God bless The Sheik. I am a proud, card-carrying member of his war against Jabronis, and I will continue to serve until I’m no longer able.
Oh, and yeah, Doctor Who. Fun stuff. The 11th series is airing now on BBC and BBC America, depending upon where you live. And Screen Junkies also gave the classic Doctor some guff with this other new Honest Trailer…
About a month ago, I would’ve told you that Bad Times at the El Royale was high on my list of films to see this fall. Then I discovered that the second film from Cabin in the Woods director Drew Goddard runs two hours and twenty minutes, and all the air went out of my enthusiasm balloon.
On the plus side, the ad campaign for this flick has somehow managed to keep all of the major twists under wraps, not bad considering how spoiler-tastic the ads were for Cabin in the Woods. It’s also got a hell of a cast and it looks like it could be a lot of fun. I just don’t see how a film like this can maintain that air of suspense and mystery for nearly two and a half hours. Believe me when I tell you that I would love to be wrong about this, but it just seems like overkill to me.
If you’re like me and are intrigued by this flick but turned off by the running time, allow me to let you know that Johnny English Strikes Again is only 88 minutes. Imagine that, you could go see a movie and still have time left in your day to do pretty much anything you want.
Bad Times at the El Royale opens Thursday night.
Veterans and active-duty service members can get a free ticket to see the film at more than 500 Regal Theaters across the country.
On Thursday, more than 14,000 free tickets will be presented to the first 25 service members per location with a valid, government-issued ID. Those who get a free ticket will see the movie at a 7 p.m. preview screening that day.
Armstrong’s sons, Mark and Rick, said in a statement they want to honor those in service to the U.S.
“During his career as a Naval aviator, our dad flew 78 combat missions in the Korean War,” they said. “The friendships he forged during those critical years remained deeply important to them all of his days. Freedom — much like landing on the moon — is an achievement that is hard fought and hard won, and it cannot be accomplished without the sacrifice of our men and women in uniform and their loved ones.”
Gosling, 37, recently told PEOPLE he was excited to play an American icon.
“As soon as I learned what the moon was, I learned that somebody named Neil Armstrong walked on it,” he said.
While preparing for the role, the actor says he was surprised to learn how dangerous the mission was.
“I had no idea how claustrophobic and frail those space capsules were,” he said. “We have more computing power in our cell phones than they had on those early spacecraft.”
As for the pressure of portraying an American hero? He joked he was fine—”as long as people don’t find out that I’m Canadian.”
The film also stars Kyle Chandler, Jason Clarke, Patrick Fugit, Christopher Abbott, Ciaran Hinds, Ethan Embry, Shea Whigham, Corey Stoll and Pablo Schreiber.
First Man opens wide on Oct. 12.
Golly gee whiz, does this woman wear anything that is not a bralet? I guess given her profession, this is kind of par for the course. It is a perk of her success that she even gets to wear any clothes at all. There are a great number of dancers who have to take off even their bralets if they want any hope of making a buck.
Do not feel too bad for those dancers, they are making bank. A small number you might even call doctor one day, or have them represent you during your inevitable DUI case. In any event, it is admirable work and necessary for a functioning society, so I applaud their perseverance.
Sharna no longer has to worry about skin dancing being her fate. Due to her success on dancing with the stars I think it would take a massive heroin addiction in order for her to wind up on the pole. If she involved any uppers into her routine they could only improve her score, right? I’m no expert in dancing, but it makes sense. I do not see a downer helping her hip hop routine any.

Nikki Haley has reportedly resigned as UN Ambassador.
President Donald Trump accepted her resignation after the controversial former governor of South Carolina, 46, visited him at the White House last week, Axios reported Tuesday morning, citing two sources briefed on their conversation.
CNN is also reporting that Haley has resigned, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter.
Haley told her staff this morning, CNN said, citing a senior State Department official.
The reason for Haley’s reported resignation was not immediately clear. The White House did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
According to a pool report, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said, “President Trump and Ambassador Nikki Haley will meet in the Oval Office at 10:30 a.m. this morning. This event will be open to the pool.”
Trump tweeted that he would be making a “big announcement” with his “friend” Haley at that time.
Big announcement with my friend Ambassador Nikki Haley in the Oval Office at 10:30am.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 9, 2018
The reported move was a shock to many senior foreign policy officials in the Trump administration, according to Axios.
The news comes as a watchdog organization, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (“CREW”), is calling for the State Department’s inspector general to open an investigation into Haley over private flights she took that were paid for by South Carolina business executives, Huffington Post reports. CREW said the flights, which Haley listed on her public financial disclosure report this year, were likely worth about $24,000.

“By accepting gifts of luxury private flights, Ambassador Haley seems to be falling in line with other Trump administration officials who are reaping personal benefits from their public positions,” Noah Bookbinder, executive director of the group, said in a statement to Huffington Post. “Our ethics laws are clearly written to prevent even the appearance of corruption and improper influence.”
The Blind Auditions were dragged out even further on Monday's episode of The Voice.
But there was one silver lining:
The first duo in years made it to the Blind Auditions, but how did the couple fare?
OneUp (Team Kelly) - “Could It Be I’m Falling in Love”
Adam and Jerome got close to each other while shooting a music video, and decided it was time to form a duo.
The issue, however, is that their vocals did not mesh well together. They would have been wiser to audition as solo acts.
Kelly probably only took them on because it was so different to have a duo in the game. If they can dial back the confidence, they might be able to adapt.
Natalie Brady (Team Adam) - “Barracuda”
This 33-year-old Nashville singer showed up on the stage and immediately made it her own. With solid vocals and a great stage presence, she could be one to watch.
The surprising thing was that she only got two chair turns, but she could be a success story with Adam's help.
Mike Parker (Team Jennifer) - “So Sick”
Mike was quick to point out that he lost all of his scholarships because his grades were not up to scratch.
He turned to a career in construction, but he could probably carve out a career in music. His audition was solid, and we're sure he will be a great addition to Team Jennifer.
Erika Zade (Team Kelly) - “New Rules”
Erika is the 20-year-old daughter of a rocker from Miami. She with Dua Lipa's hit single for her audition, and let's just say it was not what we expected.
She put her own unique spin on it, but was there anything beyond that audition that she could accomplish? We have no idea.
Jarred Matthew (Team Adam) - “Tired of Being Alone”
Jarred went with an Al Green classic, and his vocals hit astronomical heights. He had a lot of confidence, not as much as OneUp, and that's a good thing.
Out of all the performers Monday night, he is the most likely to make it further into the competition. He has the look of a superstar, so that's a positive.
It will all come down to whether his chances are ruined by horrid song choices.
Kayley Hill (Team Blake) - “Gold Dust Woman”
Anybody who can tackle a Fleetwood Mac number should automatically get a four-chair turn. There, we said it.
Kayley was another solid performance, but she was a casualty of the short auditions. Maybe the producers wanted to save her best for the Batlle Rounds.
Kirk Jay (Team Blake) - “God Bless the Broken Road”
This 22-year-old country singer turned in a striking performance that got the coveted four-chair turn.
He was confident and knew what was expected of him, and he set out to prove to everyone that he should be kept in the game.
In the end, he went to Team Blake, and that's a good thing.
What are your thoughts on the latest performances?
The Voice continues Tuesday on NBC.
As previously recappd, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian jetted off to Japan on this week's episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
But buried in the rundown of the latest fight between these siblings was the fact that Tristan Thompson admitted during this same installment that he wanted Khloe to go someplace else with him at some point:
Oh, yes, the professional baller (in the sense of playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers and plowing any Instagram model that shows interest) said he had plans to propose!
In a scene from the installment, Thompson FaceTimed with Kris Jenner in order to chat about a push present for Kardashian.
(At the time, she was expecting the couple’s first child, daughter True. These episodes were filmed a hilariously long time ago.)
“I remember Koko saying she wanted something where she could pass it down, generation after generation,” Thompson told Kris, to which she replied as follows:
“You know, Corey [Gamble] bought me for Christmas a couple of years ago this really beautiful little diamond ring that you could put on any finger.
"You know, until you get that really huge diamond that’s going to go on on her ring finger!”
In other words:
Ask for my daughter's hand in marriage, dammit!
What are you waiting for?!?
Not much, Tristan actually replied, stating on this call that he has every intention of making an honest woman out of Khloe.
“Of course,” he replied about proposing. “Eventually!”
Wow. We had no idea Thompson had really thought about this possibility at all.
So... why didn't he go through with it?
Because it soon came out that he had been cheating on Khloe left, right and in every direction in between.
Those allegations had not yet come to light when Thompson had this discussion with Jenner and he's been spending every second since merely getting Khloe to trust him again.
It would be quite the leap to go from sleeping around on your girlfriend to then getting engaged to this same girlfriend in just a matter of months.
Many viewers, meanwhile, are wondering whether we'll see Khloe's reaction to Tristan's infidelity on upcoming episodes -- and the answer is yes.
You can even get a sneak peek at what this will look like HERE.
While the new mother has largely avoided publicly discussing the cheating scandal, Khloe did address it on social media last month.
She did so while responding to speculation that she and Thompson were talking about, you guessed it... getting married.
In a reply to an Instagram user who accused her of “acting like Tristan didn’t cheat," Khloe grew defensive and shot back:
“I’m not acting as if Tristan didn’t cheat. I’m saying the story about marriage and anyone insinuating they know what we speak about privately is crap."
Fair enough, right?
As for whether the pair will walk down the aisle someday?
Let's slow that roll.
The better question right now is whether Khloe will move to Cleveland with Tristan, as insider now say she is having doubts.
“Khloe has seemed emotional,” says a People Magazine source, adding:
“Her feelings about Tristan cheating is something that she is still dealing with. She has good weeks when she is fine about it and weeks when she is upset about it.
"It’s of course difficult to trust someone 100 percent who cheated days before he was about to become a dad.
"Khloe still struggles with this sometimes.”
