Howard Stern has been in the news a lot this week thanks to his new memoir.
Of course, Stern has been one of the most visible figures in American media for close to 40 years now, but in his latest round of interviews, he's opening about matters he doesn't discuss publicly -- including his falling out with a troubled former friend.
If you've been following the sad story of Artie Lange, then you know that it's been mostly downhill for the beloved comic ever since he was fired from Stern's radio show over a decade ago.
Most recently, fans were stunned by reports that Lange was back in jail after failing a court-ordered drug test following several months of sobriety.
Of course, Lange's problems date back to well before his tenure on Stern's show, and it was the comic's substance abuse that prompted Howard to fire him.
“What’s happening with Artie makes me very sad. We’ve lost touch, and that’s my doing,” Stern told the New York Times this week.
“I got my fingers crossed for the guy. And it wasn’t a clean break.”
While Stern accepts responsibility for cutting off a close friend in his time of need, he insists he made a real effort to help Lange get clean.
“It was many years of wanting Artie to get help," the former shock jock said.
Stern also revealed that his reason for not discussing Lange's struggles more frequently is simple -- the topic makes him sad.
I know that a lot of fans want me to talk about Artie and feel it’s a cop-out for me not to. I’ll take that. I don’t want to do anything that would rock his boat,” he told the Times.
“I get sad talking about Artie. He was a tremendous contributor. But we had to move on.”
One show insider tells Radar Online that Lange's frequent relapses left Stern feeling that he couldn't be trusted:
“When Artie left, Howard kind of felt betrayed in a sense,” the source said.
“Like Artie had all of these opportunities and all of these chances, but he let his addiction get to him.”
The insider claims that Stern gave Lange countless chances before eventually reaching the difficult decision to cut him loose:
“He ruined every chance he got,” the insider added.
“Artie was digging his own grave, and Howard just couldn’t watch it happen anymore. He had no choice but to let him go.”
These days, Lange is out of jail and participating in a rehab program.
As fans know, it's certainly not the first time that Lange has been in treatment, but those who know the comic best say that he remains hopeful.
We wish him all the best.
Fans of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are still getting over the joyful announcement of the royal baby name.
But Harry is back to work, and holding earnest conversations with people even as he beams with pride as a new father.
The prince has also spoken of how he misses his mother, the late great Princess Diana.
A veteran by the name of Dennis van der Stroon spoke to Prince Harry on Thursday during the new father's trip to the Netherlands.
Van der Stroon then spoke to Hello! about the exchange, in which they reflected upon both fatherhood and loss.
"Harry talked about how having a small child was his new focus and new goal," van der Stroon reveals.
He recalls: "and I told him how a couple of months ago, I was struggling with my mental health."
"But," van der Stroon told the prince. "My wife’s pregnancy has given me a goal."
Like Prince Harry, van der Stroon lost his mother when he was young and is also about to become a father.
"Above all," he comments. "He said he was just amazed by the miracles in the world."
It sounds like he's very pumped up by being a new father.
And he knows that he's not the only one.
van der Stroon adds: "and how his child has made a lot of people happy."
That is certainly true.
"He also told me he’s really happy that his son is so far very quiet," van der Stroon shares.
Hey, that's something that we didn't know about baby Archie.
"But," he continues. "He also told me not to make too many plans."
Ban der Stroon explains: "and that there’s no way you can plan for when the baby arrives."
That is absolutely true.
"I told Harry about my mother," van der Stroon shares, noting that they could relate to each other.
It has been more than 20 years since Princess Diana's tragic death.
"And," he reveals. "We talked about our shared experience of missing a mum."
That is heartbreaking for both of them.
"He said missing a mother is like missing some kind of security," van der Stroon expresses.
Van der Stroon says that Harry spoke of "how you need that [security] as a son and it falls away when you lose your mother.”
He and his brother were then under a spotlight as never before while they mourned, which only compounded the trauma.
“He said he meets a lot of people in his work who have lost a mother, father, sister, brother, or relatives," van der Stroon shares.
Prince Harry is known for his charity work, following in his late mother's footsteps.
"And when he hears their story, as he heard my story," van der Stroon concludes. "He said he doesn’t feel so alone."
Harry and Meghan shared their happy news earlier this week.
"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are pleased to announce they have named their first born child: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor,” they shared on Instagram.
“This afternoon," the statement read. "Their Royal Highnesses introduced Her Majesty The Queen to her eighth great-grandchild at Windsor Castle."
"The Duke of Edinburgh and the duchess’ mother were also present for this special occasion," the post added.
As Harry told van der Stroon, the birth of baby Archie has brought joy to a lot of people who feel invested in Harry and Meghan.

Tyra Banks officially came out of modeling retirement to once again grace the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and the Internet agrees that she looks hotter than ever. Banks debuted her viral cover in dramatic fashion live on Good Morning America. Banks states that she’s always preached body positivity at any age, and now, at forty-five, it’s time for her to put her money where her rack is. I mean mouth:
There is this stereotype that only a 20-year-old woman in a bikini is hot. Like once we reach a certain age, we are no longer desirable. But I want to show that modeling has no age. I’m coming out of retirement to practice what I preach.
SI reminds us that it’s been twenty-three-years since Banks became the first black woman ever to cover their publication. While those boobs are still as lucious as you might remember, Banks states that she’s adjusting her wardrobe to accentuate her curvy bod:
I know the tricks. Like, the thicker you are, the smaller the swimsuit should be. It makes your curves look more luscious than stuffing yourself into giant underwear-type bottoms. So, I needed a suit that was like dental floss.
Or, how about just wear nothing at all. Just spitballing here. In addition to her interview in SI, Banks took to Twitter to share this inspirational sentiment with her adoring fans:
This is for everybody that has been told that they are not good enough because of their body, their age, their everything.
#BanX is here to tell you that you ARE friggin’ fierce no matter what anybody says! Drop mic now!
Well, if I put on that bikini I’d be put down by Animal Control, but thanks for the encouragement anyway. What do you guys think of Tyra’s new spread? Is she truly better than ever?

Seeing this new photo spread from the gorgeous Ana Maria, I’m left with feelings of confusion. I enjoy the fact that I’m sexually attracted to her, because she is a gorgeous woman and should be admired. However, she’s also wearing the same hat John Lennon wore around the time of “A Hard Day’s Night” and I just don’t know what to think anymore.
Hopefully this exchange with the photographer will clarify my feelings and help me stop thinking of John Lennon while I look at Ana Maria…
“What I love most about my body is my waist,” says Ana as she shakes her hips to the beat. in no time at all, she’s is tossing pieces of her outfit to the side to reveal her all natural, stunning curves. “My Playboy experience thus far has been truly amazing,” she tells us. “I’m a shy person, but I love my body!”
Well, that worked like a charm. Now all I’m thinking about is her waist, and so long as I don’t go above her eyebrows, I think it’s safe to say that I’m in love.

I’m not hip to the scene and I don’t stay up on the latest trends, meaning I have absolutely no idea who Pixie Lott or Maya Jama are, but they are both baring some boffo cleavage at this fashion show. Does anyone say boffo anymore? I think people need to start using it again, it’s one of the only words that rhymes with Leaping Lanny Poffo, aka Macho Man Randy Savage’s brother.
Where were we? Ah yes, Maya Lott and Pixie Jama. Or was it Pixie Lott and Maya Jama? Who can remember? I wonder if Maya Jama is ever referred to as a bad Mama Jama. That’d be fun, her name’s only one letter off from making it work. I’m sure someone’s said it to her, but I doubt she thought it was funny. Judging by these pictures, she has no sense of humor.
Anyways, they seem like fun ladies to hang out with at a fashion show and swap cleavage tips or whatever. They probably enjoy hanging out together even when they’re not at a fashion show. Either way, they seem like they bring the party with them wherever they go. They being Pixie Lott and Maya Jama, aka Bad Mama Jama!

Jake Paul took a break from banging fellow YouTube thot Tana Mongeau this weekend to throw a birthday party for rapper Desiigner who I guess is a real person. This was one of Jake Paul’s worst ideas ever, and that’s really saying something because look at all the other dumb as shit things he’s done in his life.
According to The Independent, Paul is now under investigation for drugging a woman at this party. Now, I don’t think he’s been accused of… doing anything to the woman when she was drugged, but it’s still massively fucked up.
“On Sunday, May 5, 2019, the Malibu Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station was made aware of a possible single occurrence of unwillful impairment related to a party attended on May 4, 2019,” the spokesperson said. “Detectives are in the beginning stages of information gathering for the incident. The Sheriff’s Department treats allegations such as these seriously, and will use all known resources to investigate.”
Also a Facebook post said that there was more than one young woman who was drugged.
“The house was a mansion filled with young people,” the parent wrote in a post shared on social media. “She ended up in the hospital with eight other girls who had been drugged and ended up at West Hills Hospital incoherent. Something was put in their drinks.”
That’s really rapey. I don’t know why you’re drugging people’s drinks if you’re not at least thinking about raping them.
Now, to be clear here, this isn’t just an allegation against Jake Paul specifically. It was his party, but as far as we know police haven’t named him or anyone as a suspect, and another guest could have been responsible, not just Paul.
But come on, is anyone surprised to read the words “Jake Paul” and “Drugged Women” in the same headline? I took one look at that guy and my first thought was “I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a roofie guy on speed dial.”

Fortnite recently ditched it’s blind loot box monetization model, which turned out to be a real prescient move now that Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) has introduced a bill that would make the practice illegal. Hawley’s bill would ban loot boxes and other pay-to-win mechanics in games for children. Here’s what Haley said, via NBC.
“Social media and video games prey on user addiction, siphoning our kids’ attention from the real world and extracting profits from fostering compulsive habits. No matter this business model’s advantages to the tech industry, one thing is clear: there is no excuse for exploiting children through such practices,” Sen. Hawley said.
“When a game is designed for kids, game developers shouldn’t be allowed to monetize addiction. And when kids play games designed for adults, they should be walled off from compulsive microtransactions. Game developers who knowingly exploit children should face legal consequences.”
I’m with him except for the kids part. Just make this shit illegal period. It’s predatory and it’s killing the ability of actual games to exist because who wants to sell a game once for $60 when you can squeeze hundreds of dollars a month out of people.
Honestly, this is something that’s long overdue and much needed. South Park nailed this particular issue years ago.
We keep seeing movies where some kid spent $50,000 AUS on a mobile game popping up into the news and we haven’t done anything about it. That’s over $35,000 in real money! How could someone possibly spend that much money on a video game? The game was Game of War: Fire Age, which means it was basically all spent speeding up the construction of virtual buildings. One adult embezzled a million dollars to spend on this game, and that article says the average player spends $550 a year on it. Red Dead Redemption 2 was $60. That’s like… ten Red Dead Redemptions.
It was bad enough when games started locking half the content behind paid DLC, but at least that was just a one-time purchase. Now video games are bilking a million dollars out of a single person. Do you know how many games of Pac-Man a million dollars would buy? You can just buy a Ms. Pac-Man table for like, $1,200 and just set it to free play. I don’t know what kind of system you have to have in place to get someone to spend a million dollars on a video game, but I’m certain it should be illegal.

It takes a special kind of moron to get owned by a late-night talk show host. You’re basically getting schooled by someone who gets paid to drown out the sounds of old people having sex in case their kids get up to pee. And that’s exactly what happened to Meghan McCain
Considering that Meghan is only famous for being a fat slut who hates poor people, I think Seth went easier on her. For example, he didn’t say the thing I just said.
Man, look at the kid gloves he used with her. McCain basically said that a sitting US Congresswoman was an anti-semite and responsible for a terrorist attack because she said the Israeli army should stop murdering children and Meyers was like “do you think you might have been a little harsh?”
McCain’s husband freaked the fuck out about this, however. He later deleted the tweets when everyone pointed out he sounded like a homophobic alt-right nutbar, but luckily former Jimmy Kimmel writer and current Struggle Session host Jack Allison was kind enough to reup said tweets.

I love the implication that criticizing Meghan McCain is anti-semitic. She’s not even Jewish, so if anything it’s slut shaming.
By the way, here’s another tweet McCain’s husband deleted.

Of course, Domenech apologized. Kind of.
I love my wife. I apologize for rage tweeting about how Seth Meyers treated her. I don't like him, I think he's a hack, but I shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry to anyone I offended.
— Ben Domenech (@bdomenech) May 8, 2019
Yeah Ben, we all think Seth Meyers is a hack, that’s why he’s hosting a late night TV show. That’s basically the only qualification. But you’ve said meaner things about Meghan and honestly, I’ve read your Twitter feed, you should wish you were talented enough to be a hack.
Oh, did you know Meghan McCain is John McCain’s daughter? She never brings that up constantly.
