Just a few days after D.B. Weiss and David Benioff made a bunch of people really regret naming their daughter Khaleesi, Disney has announced that it’s their Star Wars movie that will be hitting screens in 2022.
Here’s what Bob Iger said at the MoffettNathanson Media and Communications Summit, via The Wrap:
“We’re not going to wait until nine is out to start figuring it out, we’re actually hard at work doing that now,” Iger said when asked about the future of the “Star Wars” franchise. “We did a deal with David Benioff and Dan Weiss, who are famous for ‘Game of Thrones’ and the next movie that we release will be theirs, and we’re not saying anything more about that.”
Remember when they announced that they were letting Rian Johnson do a whole Star Wars trilogy? That is never going to happen. I mean, maybe he gets to do some Mon Mothma: The Early Years trilogy or something, but there’s no way they’re putting the guy who imploded the plot of their franchise in charge of anything of consequential.
Benioff and Weiss, meanwhile, are going to be shaping the future of the franchise here.
I’d also like to mention here that Disney announced Star Wars was “going on hiatus” after The Rise of Skywalker and the next movie in the franchise comes out three years later. The original Star Wars movies had a three year gap between each film in the trilogy, and now that’s a hiatus. That’s how Disney looks at movie franchises. They are going to run all of this shit into the ground. They are going to pump these movies out until you’re just sick of them and then they’re going to pump them out for another five years. And by then they’ll have bought something else you love that they can pump out three movies for a year. I’m shocked they haven’t bought Harry Potter yet, honestly.

We live in a strange world. If you ask most people, they’d tell you that Alyssa Milano is a feminist icon at the head of one of the most important movements in the world today and Kim Kardashian is a dumb slut who’s famous for fucking rappers. But Kim is studying to take the bar and Alyssa is telling everyone on social media she won’t have sex with her husband because of the abortion laws in a state she doesn’t live in. Either the Kardashians are getting less terrible or the entire world is so crazy that’s just making them look better in comparison, and I’d say the odds on those things are pretty even either way.
It wouldn’t have been too long ago that anyone hearing rumors that John Mayer was dating Kourtney Kardashian would have told John to run and never look back. And while John Mayer denied the rumor on Radio Andy he had some pretty effusive praise for the Kardashian clan anyway, via Us Weekly.
“Look, I actually like the Kardashians. If you break it down to your interactions with them, they’re very nice people. So I think any objection to them is more philosophical, and I don’t really have a philosophical objection to people that I don’t get on with every day. Like, they’re very nice people.”
I wouldn’t blame Mayer if he were to date Kourtney; she’s rich, she’s attractive, she’s… I mean, it’s probably just those two things but if you had to pick two…
In addition to saying he wasn’t interested in dating celebrities at his point in his life, there may be another reason Mayer would steer clear of dating a Kardashian.
hat said, the “Gravity” singer is fixated on one celebrity: Kourtney Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner. “I think she is, like, the Yoda of Hollywood serotonin,” Mayer said of the 63-year-old momager on Monday. “Like, she has a good grasp on how to make your serotonin just burst in your brain. I was sitting next to her, and I was like, ‘You are the ground zero of bliss, of Hollywood bliss.’ She was great. I also am a little afraid of her … I want a nice base level of respect. I don’t want to be too far on her radar. It’s hard to explain. She could end me.”
I mean, if nothing else, she does have O.J. Simpson’s number.

These days, with everyone & everything being seen on the internet — you really gotta watch what you’re sharing to the world.
But you all know that.
Ariana Grande should also know that — though it seems she recently slipped up because she is now being sued after sharing images of herself to Instagram… that technically didn’t belong to her?
That’s right — the “Sweetener” singer is in some legal hot water after posting images to her social media page.
Something that she does almost daily.
And while 3 million of the pop star’s fans showed the photo lots of love, her legal team wasn’t too impressed.
In court documents obtainted by E! News, a paparazzi photographer Robert Barbera is suing the singer claiming copyright infringement.
According to Robert, Ari publicized photographs on her Instagram page that he captured without licensing.
In addition, the New York based photog claims that she didn’t have his “permission or consent to publish the photographs.”
He is now looking for monetary relief, naturally, from the copyright infringement, attorney fees and costs, falsifying copyright management, statutory damages up to $25,000 for each violation.
In the photos, the Grammy winner is carying a see-through bag with the word “Sweetener” on it as she was exiting a building.
Two of the photos were shared to Grande’s official IG account back in August of 2018, the day her fourth studio album “Sweeterner” was released.
“Happy sweetener day,” she wrote in the caption.
The original post has since been deleted, though an edited version currently remains on her account promoting her merch.
E! has reached out to Ari’s team for comments, but has yet to hear back.
As fans of the “thank u, next singer” are well aware — she is often times very good at communcating with her followers via her social media accounts.
Whether she is opening up about a recent brain scan, or just posing for selfies, the 25-year-old is all about keeping her 154 million followers up-to-date on her life. For the most part, that is.
We will just have to stand by to see if she is willing to open up about her (totally underdanstandable) photo fail with her fellow Arianators.
Grande, however, is not the first celeb to be scolded for posting a paparazzi photo to their social media pages.
In January, model Gigi Hadid found herself embroiled in a lawsuit (again!) with a photo agency after posting a picture they had taken of her to her 44 million Insta followers.
Kim Kardashian West, Jennifer Lopez, 50 Cent, and Jessica Simposn have also been targeted by agencies for re-using photos.
Paparazzi members have been suffering (obviously) as the rise of social media has changed the way we look at the rich and famous.
Many celebs use the platform to take control of their own images and open up personally with their fans, devaluing the tabloid images.
Besides, when did these entertainers give these agencies permission or consent to snap photos of them walking to their car or entering a building?
It seems quite ironic and a tad unfair, but at the end of the day as long as the photos of the public figures are taken in a public place, it is totally legal.
The paparazzi built an industry around capturing candid photos of Hollywood’s biggest stars, but now that’s going away.
So it seems they’re turning to an additional source of revenue — suing those stars for posting their pics to Instagram.
What has the world come to, really?
It was Mother's Day on Sunday, which meant that all over the country, parents and children with less-than-perfect relationships set aside their differences and pretended to appreciate last-minute gas station bouquets and hastily-prepared Dad Dinners.
And it looks as though Jinger and Michelle Duggar may have been among those who celebrated the occasion by burying the hatchet.
(Of course, they're still Duggars, so you can bet none of the men in the family did any cooking.)
For months now, it's been rumored that Jinger is feuding with her parents.
Some have even gone so far as to claim that Jim Bob and Michelle have disowned Jinger.
Accounts vary as to the causes of the feud, but it's widely agreed that Jinger's parents aren't particularly close with her husband, Jeremy Vuolo.
On top of that, they're said to be less than thrilled with Jinger's decision to move to Los Angeles so that Jeremy can study at a divinity school there.
For that matter, the Duggars reportedly weren't happy with Jinger and Jeremy's relocation to Laredo, Texas immediately after their wedding.
But in Jim Bob's eyes, Laredo has the dual advantages of being slightly closer to Arkansas and far more conservative than Los Angeles.
Whatever the case, it looks as though the Duggars decided to make peace with their most rebellious daughter before she heads west to La-La Land:
Jinger recently posted the above photo to her Instagram page, along with a caption reading:
"It has been so wonderful having my beautiful mother in town!
"She is one amazing woman and my hero. I am so blessed to call her mom."
Pretty complimentary stuff, to be sure.
But it seems a reunion with Jinger was not Jim Bob and Michelle's sole purpose for visiting the Lone Star state.
The couple was apparently joined by a random assortment of Duggars for some sort of faith-based conference.
"We came back from the Big Sandy, TX, Family Conference with full hearts and tons of memories!!" they wrote on their joint Instagram page.
"Our kids LOVED being part of all the programs. We’re so glad that some of our married children made it with their families, too!"
Okay, so Jim Bob and Michelle may have had non-Jinger reasons for visiting Texas, but the fact remains they spent some time with their daughter and granddaughter before the big move to Cali.
As for Jeremy -- well, it's unclear if they spent any time with the man who "stole" their daughter away.
But hey, one step at a time, right?
Progress is progress.

Gianna Dior isn’t some glamour model that’s totally unattainable to the average guy. She’s beautiful and one of a kind, don’t mistake me, but she’s also the kind of chick that just loves lounging around the house, reading the latest issue of Psychology Today in nothing buy some knee-high socks. If that’s not your dream girl, I think it might be time to reevaluate those dreams of yours.
“Something people wouldn’t know about me at first glance is that I love psychology and poetry,” she tells us. “In my spare time, I love reading.” In no time at all, Gianna is already fully nude, showing off her captivating figure for our cameras. “How do I feel about posing nude? I feel empowered and confident,” she tells us thoughtfully. “Female empowerment to me looks like a woman being confident in herself with no barriers or restrictions,” she adds. “And no one is putting her down!”
Amen to that Gianna, ain’t nobody gonna put you down! Especially with a body that spectacular. There’s absolutely nothing to get down about when Gianna Dior is on the scene.

There was a lot of tension on the latest episode of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?
Some of that went down with Nicole Nafziger's family at the birthday party of her young daughter, May.
Nicole's mother, Bobbalee, offered a wealth of commentary.
In many cases, she expressed the exact same concerns about Nicole's romance with Azan Tefou shared by a lot of viewers.
But Nicole has taken to social media to claim that things are different, now.
These days, she insists, her family is totally onboard with her long-distance, high-drama relationship.
1. Nicole wants to make one thing very clear
2. The show tells a very different story
3. She feels like she's facing an inquisition
4. Her mom, Bobbalee, was of course overjoyed
5. She has strong hopes for her daughter and granddaughter
6. Bobbalee feels the same way that many fans do
With the latest edition of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue now steaming up newsstands, we’re getting to know a whole new crop of hot models who have graced the pages of this year’s magazine. Kelsey Merritt is one of the standouts this year, and seeing her on the beach in a white bikini that nicely shows off her perfectly pert pokies, it’s not hard to understand why she’s such a phenomenon.
I don’t know about this hunk she’s with though. To paraphrase Vanilla Ice, she needs to drop that zero and get with the hero. That’s not to say that I’m a hero and she should drop him for me, but there’s gotta be somebody better out there besides this muscle hunk who cares more about his physique than he does Kelsey Merritt’s pokies.
That’s a bad sign right there and one which should indicate that she needs to get out there and keep playing the field. Kelsey Merritt needs to learn not to fall for the first hunk she sees. It’s a lesson hard learned for many women and I hope Kelsey has an easier time making the change. She deserves a guy who’s not some world class himbo.

With Game of Thrones coming to a close this coming Sunday night, there’s a bit of good news for fans who will be suffering from the dreaded show hole. One week after the series finale, HBO will be airing a two-hour documentary titled Game of Thrones: The Last Watch about the making of the show’s final season in the show’s regular time slot. Granted, it’s not as exciting as, say, a mystery bonus episode or something, but it’s better than nothing.
As someone who has never given a shit about this show, I really can’t empathize with those fans who are complaining hard about the quality of the episodes in this final season. It’s the same thing that happens to any franchise when its creators start making definitive decisions. Choosing to kill a character or keep them alive immediately alienates half the audience as they were likely hoping for the opposite outcome.
In time, everyone comes around to accepting things and understanding that the creators ultimately went in a different direction than their super sweet fan theories. The sooner these fans come to terms with reality, the better off we’ll all be.
Game of Thrones: The Last Watch airs next Sunday, May 26, at 8pm.
Another WWE match has been made outside the ring.
After sparking relationship rumors on Twitter, powerhouses Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch confirmed their romance on Instagram last night…
