Brooke Houts, a well-known YouTube personality with over 337,000 subscribers, is under major fire right now after a video went viral in which it appears she is spitting on her dog and also hitting the animal.
It is very disturbing to watch.
The footage was accidentally uploaded to her account, various outlets have speculated, after Houts meant to post an altered version of her "plastic wrap prank on my doberman" video.
In the shocking video, viewers see Brooke smacking the innocent pooch, who is named Sphinx, multiple times.
She also screams at him and forcefully shoves the canine to the ground, all while recording something for YouTube that she meant to edit into some sort of humorous post.
The footage has drawn the attention of the Los Angeles Police Department.
“Our Animal Cruelty Task Force has received numerous complaints about the video, an LAPD media representative told The Verge. “And we are currently looking into the matter.”
As for what may have happened here?
The current version of the video, which had its comments disabled and was downvoted over 27,000 times, does NOT include any of these digusting and violent clips described above.
Hence why many are assuming Houts never meant to upload the original, complete version.
Following the immediate and understandable outrage over the video -- which we refuse to share here -- Houts issued a lengthy apology and explanation on Twitter.
“I want to clarify that I am NOT a dog abuser or animal abuser in any way, shape or form,” she wrote, adding:
“Anyone who has witnessed or heard true animal abuse will be able to clearly see that.”
Not exactly the strongest defense, that second sentence.
Continued the social media user:
“I want to address the uncut footage … I’m clearly actually frustrated [in the video]. That being said, this does NOT justify me yelling at my dog in the way that I did, and I’m fully aware of that.
"Should I have gotten as angry as I did in the video? No. Should I have raised my voice and yelled at him? No.
"However, when my 75 lb. Doberman is jumping up in my face with his mouth open, I do, as a dog parent, have to show him that this behavior is unacceptable.”
The YouTube personality also claimed that she’s working on her own behavioral issues, too.
“I know I’ll be in many future situations where he’s being physical, but I will not respond this way again,” she said, continuing as follows:
“I am getting my dog into training, and I’m looking at ways to improve how I personally train him at home. … I know that I am a great dog mom (but not perfect)...
"I’m just explaining what my day-to-day life is really like, whether you believe me or not.”
Again, can't say any of these words makes us very sympathetic to Houts.
How about you?
Reaction has been swift and disparaging.
Heck, even disgraced YouTube star Logan Paul had harsh words for Houts, Tweeting this message:
“discipline your animals should they misbehave. i get it
"but despite the hitting, the spitting is a totally unwarranted, inappropriate, and vile display of energy that makes this woman completely unfit to own that dog."
Houts, of course, says she did not spit on the dog.
But, hey, it's not any of us that she needs to convince.
It's the police.
Well... that was awkward.
On Monday, Tori Spelling sat down next to Jennie Garth for an interview on the program Good Day New York.
The actresses were on hand to discuss the unusual Beverly Hills, 90210 reboott that premieres tonight on Fox...
... but things turned rather awkward when the topic of Spelling's finances were raised by host Rosanna Scotto.
(There has been talk for several months that Tori and husband Dean McDermott are in serious debt; hence why they keep signing on for reality shows and granting every interview imaginable.)
On BH90210, Spelling plays a heightened version of herself... and the character is plagued by the money she owes, which is why she tries to organize a reunion among her former co-stars.
"Tori, it's got to hit a little close to home when they start talking about financial problems, right?" Scotto asked, to which Spelling replied emphatically:
"That was a choice that I made and we made together to put that in there...
"That's such speculation and the media loves to talk about it. So we were like, 'let's face them straight on and let's put it in there.'"
However, Spelling's response wasn't good enough for Scotto, who followed up by bluntly asking this question:
"Are you able to pay your bills?"
"Am I able to pay my bills? Yeah, thank you. I am," Spelling fired back
It's a personal subject and we can understand why Tori got so upset.
But she lost a major lawsuit this past January and, like we said above, there's been non-stop chatter that Spelling is, indeed, flat-out broke.
At the conclusion of this awkward sit-down, Scotto apologized for her questions, telling Tori:
"We do wish you the best. I'm sorry if I offended you by asking about your finances."
Spelling replied that she has "pretty thick skin" and even quipped:
"We're going to write this into the show, so thank you for giving us new material."
Following the interview, Good Day New York shared an after-show on Facebook, where Scotto addressed the exchange between her and Spelling, even though the questions seemed appropriate in our view.
After all, Tori's own mother has said in the past that the actress squandered nearly all the money left to her by her late father, famous producer Aaron Spellinf.
In 2014, Candy Spelling, told the New York Times that Spelling received her inheritance... and then went on massive spending sprees.
"She would close a store and drop $50,000 to $60,000," Candy claimed. "I never did anything like that. She just went crazy."
Wrote Scotto on Facebook in reaction to the interview:
"It was definitely awkward. I didn't mean it to be awkward.
"They are putting on a show where it's a mockumentary and it brings up their problems -- they're real-life problems. And Tori has had -- for years now, since her mother cut her out of the will -- there's been so many stories about her not having any money.
"I tried to see if she wanted to dispel the rumors, but she got very upset. The bottom line was maybe we know too much.
"We know she recently sent a text to somebody saying she didn't have money to pay for her kids for food."
Like we said, seemed like a reason topic to bring up on air.
I have something alarming to tell you. Someone on The Bachelor: Australia may have ulterior motives for being on the show. According to conspiracy theorists, Kristen Czyszek, 24, may not be on the show solely to compete with 27 other fame-seeking women to win the heart of Matt Agnew, a 32-year-old working at a bank who claims he’s an astrophysicist. She may actually be a spy planted by China to promote… tourism. Please, hold those gasps and refrain from striking that gong that plays every time Kristen is on camera. There’s more.
Evidence to this is she currently works as a China researcher (whatever that is), she often mentions her love of China and speaks Mandarin whenever possible on the show. This strange foreign dialect shattering Australian eardrums has caused fans to begin digging up more info about Kristen. They found that she spent time in Beijing as a communications associate for the shadowy organization known as AustCham which helps Australian investors navigate China. The Daily Mail did some digging as well and found that Kristen first made her way to Asia as an exchange student at the University of Taiwan. The connections run deep. Taiwan, as many know, has a super friendly relationship with China. They’re practically bffs.
Then there’s her Instagram. Unlike other contestants, it’s mostly empty and looks to be created specifically for The Bachelor. And, get this, in addition to English captions it also features translated Chinese captions. Now ask yourself. Why would a girl who’s lived in China for the past 2 years where Instagram is blocked and who probably has a lot of Chinese friends do something like this? It just doesn’t add up!
For their part, The Bachelor producers have purposely set out to combat this red scare by turning Kristen’s love of China into a punchline by playing gongs and “oriental bamboo flute music” whenever she appears.

Kate Moss has spent her entire life looking fate dead in the eye and blowing a puff a cigarette smoke in its face. You’d think that decades of smoking, drinking, and sun tanning would take its toll on the forty-five-year-old Moss, but these new pics of Moss in a tiny bikini on a luxurious yacht prove otherwise. The 90s “it” model still has a luscious rack and nice bod, and her face is still worthy of an ad campaign. For Marlboro. Kidding! For the botany fans out there – Does this Moss make your spore-ny baby? Let us know.

Vicki Gunvalson is outta there!
If that wasn't made clear by the complete and utter lack of the OG of the OC on the premiere of The Real Housewives of Orange County, then we don't know what will.
But Did Gunvalson's former co-stars manage to bring the drama in her absence?
Of course. That's why Orange County is still the crown jewel in this tired Bravo franchise.
We finally got some insight into Gina Kirschenheiter's January 31 arrest for driving under the influence -- and it was wild.
"The night of the DUI, I went to a local mom event," Gina admitted to the audience.
"I was there shopping for leggings and drinking wine, and I wanted to go home," she added of the scary night.
"I got in the car -- I should never have driven -- I got pulled over. And it's my worst defining moment. Ever."
But Gina did make strides in her personal life between seasons. If you watch The Real Housewives of Orange County online, you know that she previously struggled to tell her children about her divorce.
Gina was happy that she was in her new home with the three kids, and that they all knew about the divorce.
However, she was "so bummed that I made such a stupid fricken decision to like get in the damn car and drive that night."
"I know I disappointed you," she said to her dad in a Facetime call.
"I just hope that the kids don't think bad of me, too."
Her Dad told her she's "the best mom" and that he knows and that her kids love her "to death."
Gina was struggling in the aftermath. That much was clear, and the DUI arrest hung over the premiere like a dark cloud.
Gina later met up with Emily Simpson and told her that she thought she was fine to drive. She said that when she was pulled over, she thought it was going to be a ticket she was getting.
"I thought I was just gonna get a ticket," she explained. "But my friend in the passenger seat had a roadie. That's what it was. I wasn't drinking it!"
"So he saw that?" Emily asked, prompting Gina to respond with, "Yeah, and then he just asked me to get out of the car. I did all the tests, and then he gave me the breathalyzer, and it wasn't registering, and he arrested me."
"The cells are clear walls, and the first thing that I see when I walk in is this man with his hands cuffed behind his back, smashing his face against the clear glass. Like, over and over and over again. There's like blood," she said in a confessional.
"I don't know if I'm gonna be in a cell with like other crazy men like that. Like, you just don't know!"
Gina burst into tears when Emily asked about how her parents took the surprising news, admitting that it was "the worst part" of the whole thing.
Matt, her estranged husband, however, was very supportive after being the first person to learn the truth about it.
"He has been really supportive," she continued.
Like we said, it was wild!
Elsewhere, Kelly Dodd had a new man in Dr. Brian Reagan, and she seemed super happy.
Brian "works at the place where I got my boobies done," Kelly admitted without thinking about it.
Kelly decided to go on a night on the town with Shannon Beador. Beador looked fabulous as she geared up to find a new man.
But there was still talk of Gina's DUI.
"Wait, wait, wait, wait. What about Gina and the DUI?" said a stunned Kelly.
"The stupidest thing that could happen to anyone is getting a DUI. In today's world," Shannon said. "Are you kidding me?!" Kelly agreed.
"I'm not perfect -- I've made plenty of mistakes -- but DUIs are very serious," Kelly said. "She's a hot mess right now."
Shannon was even madder because she had numerous scuffles with Gina in the past.
"This is the girl who had the audacity to use the word 'self-medicate,' which has cost me tens of thousands of dollars to defend myself in the court system. Really, Gina?" she yelled at Kelly.
Looks like that feud is back and burning brighter than ever.
As for Tamra Judge, she and Eddie were happier than ever in their new home, but Tamra had to deal with two warring sons.
Tamra admitted that she wanted Ryan and Spencer to resolve their political differences.
A family member chimed in, wondering what the eff was going on.
"Ryan's a fanatic Trump supporter, and Spencer's the total opposite," said Tamra.
"I don't care," Ryan said in response. "There's nothing wrong with loving America."
"I don't mind loving America, but you said you were gonna punch him in the face," Tamra shot back.
"He's been talking to me the way he talks to me," Ryan said, adding that Spencer had called him "a racist."
"Are you?" Tamra wondered, prompting Ryan to say, "No."
"Listen, I'm not into politics..." Tamra said, but Ryan cut her off.
"You should be!" he said sternly. "You wanna watch some Fox News with me? We can watch some Fox News."
"What about CNN?" Tamra asked.
"Do not say those words to me," he mumbled.
Tamra tried to get the brothers to sort things out, once again, but it failed.
"I don't hate the kid, he just crossed the line. He wasn't ready for the repercussion," Ryan said.
"Am I gonna go kick his ass? No. I'm not stressed about it, but you can talk to him about that."
Ryan admitted in a confessional that his brother "got offended because I was for building the wall, and just because I said that, he thought that I was racist. Half my family's Mexican! I have other family that's Black. Like, it just doesn't make sense."
Tamra also expounded in a confessional about the whole thing.
"Spencer and Ryan were raised differently. Ryan was in daycare half the time while I was working two jobs. The lights were turned off most of the time."
"Birthday parties were, 'Let's go to Chuck E. Cheese!' But now, Ryan sees all the fancy things in life that Spencer has, and I think there might be a little bit of jealousy between the two of them. And I think Ryan's the one that's gotta maybe come around."

I never really thought a bob could be a cute haircut. I mean, long hair is generally sexier than short hair, and the name “bob” just makes me think of a fat insurance salesman. At least a pixie cut sounds cuter.
But Georgia Fowler is making it work.
She even told Popsugar what she uses to style her new hairdo.
Fowler has been wearing a bob since June and has picked up some great tips for styling it. “The Bumble and Bumble Brilliantine is quite good for giving it a little messy texture without drying it out so much,” she said. “I love also just using a Kérastase hair mask. I often do it when I’m traveling.”
Whatever she’s doing, it works.
Or did you prefer her old hair style?
I think she looks good either way.

What do you think is the least surprising thing I could tell you? Would you guess Kim Kardashian has an eating disorder except for her ass? Michael Jackson once broke into a maternity ward and just started blowing every baby he could find? That Kevin Spacey was already in there when MJ showed up?
How about Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau aren’t really married? That one, unlike the ones above, is true. I know, it’s a huge shock, right?
Yes, there’s a new episode of Tana Turns 21 out and in it we learn than Tana and Jake, or Take, as their true fans call them, aren’t actually married. Via Cosmopolitan.
“To everybody that’s calling it fake because we rushed into it or because I don’t do things traditionally, because I wanted to not do it legally, but any wedding I have, if I have three more fucking weddings, I really wouldn’t want to do it on paper because I think that legally binding yourself to someone takes away the love, like it’s unnecessary. To all of the people who think that it’s not real and we’re just putting on this show as two fucking sociopaths—it is real. That’s all I know to tell those people. We are just fucking crazy, and that’s what you can talk shit about.”
This is after Tana had explain last week that while she said on the show that her and Jake were just dating for “content,” she’s now actually totally in love with him.
i understand ppls frustration with this sound bite from the show & it’s the last thing i wanna talk about right now but obviously i just uploaded an 8 minute youtube video on how much i love Jake & am not tryna look like that much of a sociopath hahahahahaha i filmed those https://t.co/DHi4icQLJD

confessionals for the show A LONG TIME AGO! the “for fun and content” sound bite was from a very long sentence lmao and was a little salty to see it pulled out of context.. i understand though that MTV has their own creative & that these episodes are airing very late, especially

in timing with the wedding. i’m not trippin. i know that things have moved so fast, are unconventional, and confusing but i love jake. i truly do, in the weirdest fucking way. every second of this rollercoaster ride has been so fun & crazy. i hate that it’ll probably always come
— Tana Paul (@tanamongeau) August 1, 2019
with owing people some explanation especially with so many things coming out like the show (which is quite behind)… but i know that’s kinda the life we signed up for. idk. i’ll fuck off.

But I mean… do you believe that?

Casey Affleck is the best feminist ever. He loves women and absolutely supports the absolute tits off of them.
It sounds weird to say that considering the fact that he had to settle two lawsuits for sexual harassment for his behavior on-set making I’m Not Here. But I guess Brie Larson and Constance Wu were wrong about him. It’s weird that they would fuck this up and attack such a great feminist like Casey here.
How do I know Casey Affleck is the best feminist in the world? Well, because he said so, and it’s not like someone would lie about being a feminist to cover up their own sexual misconduct.
Here’s what Affleck said on Dax Shepard’s podcast, via IndieWire.
“Who would not be supportive of the #MeToo movement? That’s an idea that’s even out there?” Affleck said. “That there are some people saying we do not believe in equality and we think the workplace should be a dangerous place for certain people and not for others. That’s preposterous.”
Affleck added that for him “it is very, very hard to talk about, and it scares me” to discuss topics related to the #MeToo movement. “Mostly because the values of the #MeToo movement are values that are at the heart of my being,” he added. “Just the way I was raised, they are baked into my own value system having been raised by a mother who didn’t let us watch ‘Dukes Of Hazzard’ when we were like eight years old because it was sexist.”
“The way that I’m thought of sometimes by certain people recently has been so antithetical to who I really am that it’s been frustrating,” Affleck added. “And not being able to talk about it has been hard because I really wanted to support all of that, but I felt like the best thing to do was to just be quiet so I didn’t seem to be in opposition to something that I really wanted to champion.”
So there you have it. Casey Affleck is a super duper feminist. Way more feminist than you. He didn’t even objectify Daisy Duke while all you dirty birdies were exploring your bodies to Princess Leia in that gold bikini.
He went on to explain to explain his little “rampant on-set sexual harassment” problem was just a big misunderstanding.
“There was a ton of partying, because that was the content of this documentary, at times mockumentary,” Affleck said. “We’re recording everything. It was confusing for everybody and it was deliberately so. And that’s my responsibility. The intention was to have the crew as a part of the movie. I don’t know how much they knew they were a part of the movie … It was a big mess and it’s not something I would do again. I would be way smarter, more sensible, more sensitive to it being a workplace if I were to try to do this again.”
Keep in mind one of the things he was accused of is getting drunk and getting into bed with a cinematographer and then berating her for not sleeping with him. Just confusing for everyone.
