The Tokyo 2020 Olympics have been postponed to summer 2021. Shinzo Abe, the Prime Minister of Japan, met with International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach and proposed the Summer 2020 Olympic Games be postponed. For the first time in history, the Olympics will not go on as scheduled.
The Olympics were scheduled to begin on July 24, 2020, but the coronavirus has spread around the world and become a global pandemic since the Games were originally scheduled. Needless to say, circumstances have changed drastically.
IOC officials were under a lot of pressure to postpone the Olympics. Both Canadian and Australian officials announced they would not send athletes to the games if they were not postponed and other countries were likely to join in that stance. President Donald Trump also suggested that the games be postponed in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. While the IOC attempted to keep the games on for 2020, they had to finally give in and postpone the event.
The Olympic torch relay will also be rescheduled. In the meantime, the torch will be on display in Fukushima.
These days, millions of Americans are stuck at home with no idea of how they'll cover their monthly expenses or where their next paycheck is coming from.
Of course, that's nothing new for Jenelle Evans -- she's been living this way for the past year!
Yes, believe it or not, it's been almost 12 months since Jenelle was fired from Teen Mom 2.
And in that time not much has changed for Ms. Evans.
She's "back together" with David Eason following a fake breakup that fooled absolutely no one.
She's still living on The Land, still spewing nonsense on social media, and still offering daily masterclasses in irresponsible parenting.
In fact, as far as we can tell, only two major changes have taken place in Jenelle's life in the past 12 months:
She's no longer on TV, and she's no longer rich.
You might think that in all that time either Jenelle or David would have come to terms with the fact that they'll eventually need to get a real job.
But clearly, these two are still planning to get rich in the world of media, despite the fact that that is very clearly never gonna happen.
Currently, the Easons are doing everything they can to avoid getting real jobs.
It might be sad, if it weren't so damn funny.
Now that Jenelle's cosmetics line has officially gone bust, she's working on re-launching her clothing line.
Yes, apparently, Jenelle had a clothing line at one point. Who knew?
As is customary with Jenelle, she announced the launch on her Instagram with no date for the release and no specifics of any kind.
Fortunately, Evans is officially an ex-reality star these days, and as her star continues to fade, her BS business ventures are increasingly being bombarded with the scorn and derision they deserve.
When Jenelle took to Twitter to boast that she's following social-distancing guidelines (we'll give her credit for that; we assumed she would be a COVID-denier), one follower pointed out that it's not terribly challenging for her to do so.
"It’s easy for y’all to socially distance," the user tweeted.
"No one wants to be involved in your drama and you are both unemployed. Some of us have to actually work."
That's a mic-drop caliber burn that basically left Jenelle with no choice but to respond.
"No drama over here," Evans tweeted.
"And I think you meant self-employed," she added, with a string of smiley face emojis.
Folks, we're gonna encourage you to remember this moment.
Sometime in the very near future, Jenelle will turn to her fans with a tale of financial woe and a link to her GoFundMe page.
When that day comes, and she and David are begging for a handout, you just encourage her to buck up and remind her that she's not unemployed ... she's self-employed.
For reasons that have been laid out very plainly over the past few weeks, Kody Brown is a selfish jerk.
Oh, and he also totally sucks.
It's been impossible to arrive at almost any other conclusion for anyone who's watched Sister Wives over the past several Sundays, considering the many fights Kody has gotten into with his spouses.
On every episode of 2020, Kody has gotten into it with every Sister Wife, from Meri to Janelle to Christine and even Robyn; all over the same topic, too:
Kody's preference to build one large home for his entire family in Flagstaff, Arizona...
... and the preferences of these women not to do that.
Back on the March 15 installment of this long-running TLC series, Kody and Robyn bickered like never before.
They then went back at it on March 22, with Christine breaking down in tears during the episode.
While live-Tweeting the episode, Kody acknowledged that he probably didn't across very well to viewers -- but tried to explain himself to his social media followers as, well, follows:
“I know I’m being intense here,” he wrote.
“Even mean. I’m angry. I have a responsibility to house my children … close enough to see them often. I believe that means I must ‘buy’ a home. Not what I want, but what I MUST do!”
The father of 18 went on to say he's tried to remain cordial with his Sister Wives while they decide on what to do next in Arizona.
But he’s finally reached a breaking point after going back and forth for so long on whether or not to build his fantasy polygamous palace on the Coyote Pass property.
“My sweet ladies don’t understand that when a warrior goes to war, ‘Mr. Nice Guy’ exits," Kody continued, with as much condescension as possible.
He then continued with this terrible and inappropriate metaphor.
"This situation feels like ‘war’!" Kody actually Tweeted, adding:
"Retrospectively I realize that kindness would accomplish more. The stress of the situation over so many months has weakened my goodness.”
During the angry scene opposite Robyn, Kody also shared his thoughts on this wife's real estate drama, claiming he “really didn’t know why” she wouldn’t budge" when it came to renting versus buying.
“I was literally losing my mind. I see her acquiescing here a little, but it is breaking her heart,” Kody said in another message.
For her part, and to her credit, Robyn didn't back down online.
“Kody thought he can use the kids and the real estate agent to help influence me," she Tweeted about their big fight.
"He didn’t understand how much I was standing my ground FOR the kids!
"When Kody gets creative and starts his stream of consciousness speaking out loud, it can get a little stressful. I feel like that was what he was doing when he told the girls they had to change schools."
Amid talk that Kody is way too controlling and doesn't respect the opinions of his Sister Wives, Robyn did allege the opposite.
“We have the belief that everyone has a voice and no one is forced to do something that doesn’t work for them,” she told her followers. “This is a family of choice!"
We don't believe that for a second.
But, hey, we hope it's true.
If you're a longtime Teen Mom OG viewer, then you're probably familiar with Tyler Baltierra's father, Butch, and his lifelong struggle with substance abuse and addiction.
When Butch checked into rehab and got sober back in 2018, both family, friends, and fans were quick to offer words of kindness and support.
Butch stated that he was looking forward to a brighter future, as well as a much closer relationship with his son.
Sadly, that optimism was short-lived.
In recent weeks Catelynn Lowell has offered updates on Butch that have deflated any sense of hope fans might have had about the possibility of Tyler's dad returning to his life.
She says Butch is not only back on drugs, he has completely cut ties with his children and other family mwmbers.
“We don’t really talk to [Butch] that much,” Lowell tells In Touch exclusively in an update.
“Honestly, we don’t really know exactly how he’s doing.”
Catelynn says in the past, she and Tyler would have tracked Butch down and encouraged him to re-enter rehab.
These days, however, they've been forced to come to terms with the fact that they can't help Tyler's dad if he doesn't want to help himself.
“I think that’s where it comes," Lowell says.
"Like, you know, with the whole setting boundaries aspects like even with Tyler, he, you know, he feels like it’s better that way too,” she adds.
“I feel like sometimes [Tyler] was just way too involved sometimes and took it on you know, like, ‘Oh, you know, is he sober? We need to make sure he’s sober.’"
Catelynn says Tyler's commitment to helping his father began to take a toll on his mental health and his own ability to be an effective father.
"Like when it comes to the point where it’s like, no, that’s not your responsibility,” she says.
“I think it’s sad that he always relapses,” Catelynn adds.
“I hope and pray that one day he will be clean and stay clean forever.”
Lowell says that she and Tyler “don’t really have a relationship" with Butch anymore and are uncertain of where he lived.
Fortunately, it's not all bad news in the Baltierra family these days.
“Amber is still sober and doing amazing,” Cate says.
"She worries a lot about her dad, but I try [to] tell her that she cannot take his sobriety on herself,” she adds.
“She loves her dad.”
Unfortunately, sometimes loving someone means letting them go their own way.
Bella Thorne is celebrating right now, she’s inked a tv development deal with Fox. She’s working on creating scripted and reality programming aimed at teens. The 22 year old is hoping to develop shows much like Riverdale and Gossip Girl, which were huge with the younger crowd. She celebrated this victory by decorating her house in fake flowers from top to bottom, and posting these sexy shots of her braless on set for a photoshoot.
Here’s what she had to say about the deal:
Feels like the weirdest time to talk about this but during this awful time I’m writing a ton, I’m looking for ways to find new jobs for others and more income for our community of the arts:) if I told my 8 year old self at 22 I would sign a development deal for scripted and non scripted at Fox I would probably..idk I wouldn’t believe it. I’m so grateful for this opportunity and I promise to bring u binge worthy shows

Kim Kardashian has taken to Twitter to slam Taylor Swift as a snake and a liar.
The former adult film star and the beloved singer first started feuding back in the summer of 2016... after Kim and husband Kanye West released snippets of a phone conversation between the rapper and Swift.
During this chat, Swift appeared to give West permission to reference her in his song "Famous."
After it came out, however, Swift complained about the way Kanye trashed her in this track.
The stars went back and forth and it got really annoying and we recapped the outbreak of this feud HERE.
Multiple times over the past couple years, both Kim and Taylor have referenced the rivalry, partly to put it behind them -- and partly to keep throwing shade at the other.
We really thought it over, though.
A lengthy video of Kanye talking to Taylor hit the Internet this week (below)... and now here we are again.
As you can see in this footage, Kanye and Swift do talk about the song and Taylor does say the part about West rapping about how his foe "owes" him "sex" is okay.
But Taylor never gives Kanye permission to trash her as a "bitch," which seems to be the real point of contention between the parties: Just what Swift was blessing during the phone call.
On Monday, meanwhile, Swift took to her Instagram stories to react to all the renewed interest in the beef between her and the Wests.
"Instead of answering those who are asking how I feel about video footage that was leaked, proving that I was telling the truth the whole time about *that call* (you know, the one that was illegally recorded, that somebody edited and manipulated in order to frame me and put me, my family, and fans through hell for 4 years)...
"Swipe up to see what really matters."
Swiping up prompted her followers to a donation page for the organization Feeding America.
Pretty great response, right? Swift got some digs in, while also hopefully raised some money for an important cause.
She posted a flood of tweets on Monday night defending herself against the singer and once again attacking Swift.
“To be clear, the only issue I ever had around the situation was that Taylor lied through her publicist who stated that ‘Kanye never called to ask for permission…’" wrote Kim.
"They clearly spoke so I let you all see that. Nobody ever denied the word ‘bitch’ was used without her permission."
At the time when they spoke the song had not been fully written yet, but as everyone can see in the video, she manipulated the truth of their actual conversation in her statement when her team said she 'declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message.
Back in 2016, Taylor's rep told E! News in a statement (which does reflect Kim's aforementioned assertion):
"Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single 'Famous' on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message.
"Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, 'I made that bitch famous.'"
In response to Kardashian' most recent tweets, Swift’s rep shared her “UNEDITED original statement” on Twitter, as you can see above.
Elsewhere, Kim defended her husband’s “right to document his musical journey and process,” and said she would “never” have released the footage if Swift had not “forced me to defend him.”
She also vowed to finally shut the heck up about all this.
"This will be the last time I speak on this because honestly, nobody cares," Tweeted Kardashian, referencing the Coronavirus pandemic and concluding:
"Sorry to bore you all with this. I know you are all dealing with more serious and important matters.
We really are.
Which means the celebrity gossip world can serve as a nice distraction... but not by these two once again going at it online.
Instead, let's all donate to Feeding America.
And let's all distance ourselves socially, as well as emotionally from anything Kim or Taylor or Kanye says about all this nonsense.
I know that this was obviously shot before we were told to fear every other human around like we were an OCD hypochondriac. Something probably not overly new to most of us who have always kept our distance from people knowing they are likely carrying all kinds of diseases.
I know that people may not be as excited by Reese or Kerry Washington now that they are older, but if you watch some old Reese movies, you will be reminded why the Southern Belle made it in the Big Leagues. She’s hot as hell.
I figure this could be an image of the past, two people that close to each other while not in space suits, so that could be hot to some of you feeling the burn of the 6 feet apart rule at least when it comes to online dating because if your dick isn’t 6.5 feet long, you’re screwed!
