In a shocking romantic development, Kelly Clarkson has made it clear:
She wants to once again be miss indepedent.
Multiple outlets have confirmed that the singer has filed to divorce Brandon Blackstock, her husband of seven years.
According to court documents obtained by E! News, People Magazine and others, the American Idol champion quietly filed the necessary paperwork in Los Angeles on June 4, citing irreconcilable differences.
The date of separation is listed as "TBD."
The couple -- who has two kids together (daughter River Rose, 6; and son Remington Alexander, 4) -- have been married since 2013 and came across for years as one of the happiest and most stable tandems in Hollywood.
Blackstock also has two children (son Seth, 13; and daughter Savannah, 18) from a previous marriage and Clarkson is asking for joint legal and physical custody.
The artist met the music manager at a rehearsal for the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2006.
They got engaged in December of 2012.
"I'M ENGAGED!!!! I wanted y'all to know!!" Clarkson wrote at the time. "Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever."
She has since gushed uncontrollably over Blackstock on multiple occasions.
As recently as this past December, Clarkson even told the world that she and her husband had intercourse on a nightly basis.
No, really. She said this.
"I was single for many years, so…I have children and how one makes children is generally what I do before bed," she told a fan during an Ask-Me-Anything session when asked about her evening routine.
"That’s not a lie, that’s real! And it’s not weird, it’s natural," Clarkson then insisted.
After exchanging vows in Tennessee, Clarkson told Cosmopolitan:
"Brandon's totally the one. I've never been so happy."
Fast forward to 2017 and an interview Clarkson gave to SiriusXM.
"This isn't a downer to anybody I dated before him, but I’m just going to be real: I never felt like, honestly, sexually attracted to anybody before him," she said.
"And I'm not downing my exes, you know, everybody’s different. But there was something about him.
"I honestly thought I was asexual — I’d never been turned on like that in my whole life. I was like, ‘Oh that’s that feeling … okay!'"
More recently, for Clarkson's 38th birthday in late April, Blackstock and their kids made a special video for The Voice coach.
"Happy birthday baby. I love you more than you'll ever know," Blackstock said in the footage, which also starred featured sons Remy and Seth as well as daughter River.
"Just now seeing this and I am bawling! They're all so cute!" Kelly wrote on Twitter with video of the surprise.
"I've had a bit of a rough week and this just turned it around."
But things change, of course.
Clarkson is yet to comment on the split, although she may sing about it someday.
The singer has recorded multiple songs about her marriage, including the emotional “Piece by Piece” and the celebratory “Tie It Up.”
Now that she's on her own again, though, we've got a feeling she'll be queuing up “Stronger" on repeat.
We wish nothing but the best to Kelly and Brandon.
If you're a Vanderpump Rules fan, then by now, you've likely heard the news that Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute have been fired from the show that made them famous.
The decision was a result of the revelation that Schroeder and Doute called the cops on Faith Stowers -- their only black castmate -- in order to falsely accuse her of drugging and robbing Los Angeles bar patrons.
Stassi and Kristen both posted public statements of apology after Faith called them out during a recent podcast interview.
But Stowers was unimpressed by their remarks -- and not only because both failed to reach out to her personally.
"It's not really an apology. It's a statement. I think it would have been a lot better if it was something personal because for me, it was a personal attack," she explained in an interview with E! News.
"For me, I had to make a lot of changes in my life and go through a lot that a normal person wouldn't have to go through," Faith added.
"It really hurt me emotionally so I think the apology should have matched the offense. I think it should have been just as heartfelt as their allegations were heartfelt."
It's a poignant explanation that serves as a reminder that Stassi and Kristen had at least two years to make things right with Faith, and at no point did they show any interest in doing so.
Naturally, fans of the show have expressed curiosity as to whether any member of the Vanderpump cast has reached out to Faith.
And sadly, it seems only Lala Kent has taken steps to rectify the injustices that Faith has endured.
"I reached out to Lala awhile ago when I got the news that her father had died. Her dad is an amazing man. Her family are amazing people, they are really good people," Faith said.
"I lost my dad and she knows this and if we had not been in the situation that we had been in, I would have helped her through that," she added.
"She reached out to me during all of this happening and she apologized and she told me she wanted to be on a clean slate and she thanked me for my condolences and maybe we'll be moving forward."
Faith went on to explain that Lala's actions during her time on the show were not above reproach -- but at least she's taking steps in the right direction:
"We were very, very close. I know I was really hurt by all of them. I will be honest and say I was hurt by all of them validly but when somebody reaches out personally like she did and apologizes—someone that actually knows me—that makes me feel good," Stowers said.
"I'm glad that she did. Who knows what's going to happen from here but at least she did a personal apology."
Considering the fact that Faith's comments about the rest of the cast have been overwhelmingly negative, we think it's safe to say she feels that Lala is just about the only one of them who deserves such a massive platform.
In addition to her revelations about Stassi and Kristen, Faith has stated that she believes Jax Taylor deserves to be fired from the show as well.
And based on her claims, it seems very hard to believe that Bravo could offer any sort of convincing argument for keeping him on board.
At this point, the entire future of Vanderpump Rules is in question.
And based on what we've learned about the cast this week, perhaps cancelation is the only solution.
Amy Duggar was already on thin ice when she condemned racism while implying that the rest of her extended family may feel different.
Now, she may be in even more trouble after revealing that Jim Bob controls everything that she says ... with an NDA.
Amy King went on Instagram Live to chat with fans directly.
She was clearly enjoying herself and in a good, even playful mood during the livestream.
On Instagram Live, fans can type messages in real time in the hopes that their messages will be read.
One fan decided to write a bold message, begging Amy to "rescue Jana."
Amy did begin speaking about her cousin.
However, at this point, an unidentified member of her family spoke out, cutting her off.
"You have an NDA!" the family member reminded her.
"Stop!" Amy countered, warning her family member: "You’re going to get us in trouble!"
There's no question of why a fan would implore Amy to rescue Jana.
Jana is treated as a servant by her parents. She has no real control over her life because she is unmarried.
But confirmation that Amy has an NDA is huge news.
That said, it is something that has long been suspected.
Previously, Amy had done an interview with Without a Crystal Ball, a YouTube show hosted by Katie Joy.
"I had the chance to speak with Amy Duggar King," Katie later remarked.
"While this video was premiering," she revealed. "I received a message from Amy that someone wanted the video down. Someone."
Clearly, Katie was drawing attention to the fact that she could not disclose who had ordered the interview scrapped.
"When I found out shortly after this video went live and while it was premiering that this video would need to come down," Katie shared.
"I was shocked," she admitted, emphasizing: "Nothing was said negatively at all about this family."
Katie Joy then took to Twitter to say something else.
Without context, she wrote: "I've said it once, I'll say it again... 'A woman's voice should never be silenced.’"
Amy is free to speak her mind on other topics, at least.
"F Racism," Amy wrote recently. "I could have typed that several different ways, but lets all agree it just needs to stop."
"Are you having any uncomfortable convos with your family?" one fan demanded. "Are you being actively anti-racist? Just curious."
"My family as in Dillon & I do not have one racist bone in our body," Amy replied. "And we will teach Daxton to love all people as well!"
The implication, of course, was that there may be other members of her family who may feel differently.
At the very least, Amy did not even feel at liberty to confirm that the rest of her extended family is anti-racist, which is ... troubling.
Amy stopped appearing on reality TV in 2017, which means that it is unthinkable that TLC could have her under an NDA, right?
That leads fans to one conclusion.
Jim Bob, Amy's controlling fundamentalist uncle, in keeping with his need to keep his brand squeaky clean, had her sign one.
Amy may be financially compensated -- we don't know. It may be that she signed the NDA only to be allowed to interact with her relatives.
As we all know, Jim Bob insists upon being the filter between his adult children and the outside world. Why should Amy be any different?
Jim Bob's daughters to stray too far from his mandates end up disinvited from his home -- like Jill.
I’ve been a fan of Rick Salomon since he starred in the infamous Paris Hilton sex tape, I’ve watched his social media videos that show him living the good life, gambling in exotic locations and taking week or even month long yacht trips around the world. I’ve seen him snap some pretty hot girls from time to time and started seeing the same girl on all these trips with him so I figured it was his new girlfriend.
Big surprise, I come to find out this is his absolute bombshell of a 21 year old DAUGHTER. News to me, Rick has two grown ass daughters with his ex-wife Elizabeth Daily, some singer who also dated Brad Pitt back in the day. The girls are now following in their mothers footsteps and have released their own music. I guess it’s not hard to make a hit track when your dad is BFF with Scott Storch. Anyway here is the hot daughter Tyson Salomon.
Here she is doing a TikTok prank on her dad:

I’m not the biggest fan of Janelle Monae because she was rude to a friend of mine, so that tainted my opinion of her. I also didn’t love her whole look consisting of white dress shirts and black suits and stuff and found it kinda lame and anime, not that anime is lame but that look was kinda trash. Anyway Variety magazine has been speaking with women in the entertainment industry who are using their voices to speak up for worthy causes. We all know Janelle Monae has been vocal about supporting the LGBTQ community so they spoke to her about what she’s been up to and included a photoshoot that shows us one thing, yellow is Janelle’s color!
Janelle is starring in the new horror film called Antebellum where she plays a successful author who finds herself trapped in a nightmarish reality and must find a way to break free from the horrors. The movie is proceed by the same guys who did GET OUT and US so it’s sure to be creepy. Here’s the trailer!

Alicia Keys was interviewed by InStyle Magazine and because this happened mid-quarantine, she had her kids, Egypt(9) and Genesis(5) shoot the photos to accompany the feature. Alicia has the two sons with producer Swizz Beatz who clearly helped facilitate the photoshoot. The 39 year old looks stunning in the make-up free snaps, wearing her hair slicked back and some stylish pieces from her own wardrobe. I’m kind of loving all the at home quarantine campaigns that celebrities have been shooting on their own, or with some help from their families.

A few weeks ago, Twitter rolled out a feature where users (mostly those with blue checkmarks) could turn off replies to their posts. It’s basically a way from brands to advertise and for celebrities to say dumb shit without having to listen to the rabble call them out on it.
The most prominent usage of the feature to date is by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, who disabled comments on her link to a new essay in which she explains that she is, in fact, a transphobe and how the beloved children’s author came to develop her hateful, bigoted views. You know, aside from just being British.
— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 10, 2020
She did get 17,000 retweets with comments, and you check them, there’s a lot of people telling her she sucks in there.
On one level, my interest in this issue has been professional, because I’m writing a crime series, set in the present day, and my fictional female detective is of an age to be interested in, and affected by, these issues herself, but on another, it’s intensely personal, as I’m about to explain.
I don’t know if Rowling realizes this, but most cis people don’t feel the need to express their opinions about trans people In their everyday life unless some dumbass TERF says something ignorant and needs to be set straight. Young people don’t go around just constantly espousing their views on trans rights apropos of nothing, that’s mostly the domain of middle-aged assholes like you and Graham Linehan.
I mention all this only to explain that I knew perfectly well what was going to happen when I supported Maya. I must have been on my fourth or fifth cancellation by then. I expected the threats of violence, to be told I was literally killing trans people with my hate, to be called cunt and bitch and, of course, for my books to be burned, although one particularly abusive man told me he’d composted them.
Ahh yes, the real victim of J.K. Rowling’s bigotry is J.K. Rowling because someone called her a cunt on social media. It was me, I called her a cunt and I’d do it again. Besides, she’s British, cunt is barely even a swear word over there. I’m pretty sure I heard them say it on Blue Peter a few times.
Rowling goes on and on about why she has to speak up on behalf of all the other hateful bigots who wrote her to thank her for also being a hateful bigot as if that makes them good and the people who called her a cunt bad. I have news for you, white supremacists are all super nice when they e-mail David Duke or Tucker Carlson to keep up the good work, it doesn’t make them good people either.
Rowling, like many TERFs, couches her hatred of trans people as not hatred of trans people at all but instead deep concern for young people with gender dysphoria who desist when they’re older or de-transition if they had begun to transition.
And yes, desistance is a thing that happens sometimes. I have a close personal friend who had gender dysphoria that desisted and that experience gave her more empathy for trans people, not less. But that’s because unlike J.K. Rowling she’s a good person.
Detransitioners and desisters actually seem to make up a very small number of people with gender dysphoria, though there aren’t really any good scientific studies on the issue to make definitive statements on it. Occam’s razor would suggest, however, that the “increase” in AFAB trans men isn’t some dastardly trans agenda designed to commit genocide against lesbians but rather the result of more people accepting themselves because of the greater acceptance of trans people today compared to even a decade ago.
Millennials are almost twice as likely to identify as LGBT than Generation X, and Gen Xers are themselves about twice as likely to be openly LGBT as their Traditionalist generation grandparents. We’re really probably not actually getting any gayer, it’s just easier to be out of the closet today than it was 20 years ago. As we make it easier for trans people to be their authentic selves, I’d expect to see a rise in the number of people who openly identify as trans, as well. It’s not a conspiracy.

Alexis Ren must have bought a house somewhere in Hawaii with all the money she’s made from being one of the first travel influencers on Instagram. She’s been focusing more on saving the oceans and less on her typical nude photoshoots, which is awesome for the fish but for us not so much. BUT she came out of hiding to give us these stunning snaps of her looking like a tropical dream in her black bikini!

Looks like Kira Kosarin missed rule number one of preventing the Corona Virus, she’s got her fingers all in her mouth in the middle of Koreatown for a photoshoot! I guess we can assume this photoshoot was done prior to the global pandemic but I just can’t get passed the thought of little COVID germs making their way from her hand to her mucus membranes and into her blood. Aside from that, Kira looks amazing as she does the splits while standing and poses in a tight lime green corset top. Get well soon Kira….

Tragedy has struck the television world.
Jas Waters, a writer who worked on This Is Us, has passed away from causes not currently known and/or released.
She was 39 years old.
The tragic news was broken on Twitter by the official This Is Us writers' Twitter account, which released a statement on Thursday night that reads:
The entire #ThisIsUs family was devastated to learn of Jas Waters passing.
In our time together, Jas left her mark on us and ALL over the show. She was a brilliant storyteller and a force of nature. We send our deepest sympathies to her loved ones.
She was one of us. RIP @JasFly.
The creator of the smash hit NBC drama, Dan Fogelman, also took to Twitter to express his condolences.
"This news took my breath away," he wrote, adding of Waters:
"Jas was absolutely brilliant and had so many stories still to tell. She made an indelible mark on our show and my heart breaks for her loved ones.
In addition to This Is Us, Waters worked on shows programs as Kidding, Hood Adjacent With James Davis and The Breaks.
She also held a story by credit for the 2019 movie What Men Want.
Prior to her work as a screenwriter, Waters ran her own entertainment website and served as a columnist for Vibe magazine.
You also may recognize her as a former reality star.
Under the name JasFly, Waters played a role on The Gossip Game, a VH1 reality show that focused on bloggers and other media figures covering the music industry.
"I’m very audacious. This was always the plan for my life, even before I knew it," she said in 2018 interview with Shadow and Act.
"A billion things had to conspire together for me to get here. Listen, I was raised in an old folks’ home. I never had a traditional life;
"I never had a safe, cookie-cutter, predictable, affirming life."
In the wake of her passing, various This Is Us stars and other celebrities that knew Waters also jumped on social media to remember the late TV writer.
Mandy Moore wrote on Twitter: "Sending love and light to @JasFly's family and loved ones."
Added actress Susan Kelechi Watson: "Incredibly shocked and saddened to have just receive this news. Blessed Light, fly with the angels."
Insecure's Issa Rae tweeted: "I'll never forget being so excited to get an interview w/ @JasFly for Necole Bitchie back when I was working on ABG. I could feel her warmth through the phone.
"Over the years, I got to know & appreciate her even more. She was so generous, beautiful and REAL. I'll miss you, girl."
E! News host Nina Parker wrote: "Wow. I just heard about @JasFly and I truly don't even have the words. I'm so incredibly sad to hear of her passing and I just don't even know how to begin to process this.
"I don't know what to say... this hurts. Rest in paradise Queen."
Glee's Amber Patrice Riley shared: "I can't believe I woke up to hearing you are gone @JasFly. You inspired me so much and challenged my thinking also. I truly admired you as a writer and just as a black woman.
"We never got to work together like we wanted, but I'm so glad to have known you. #RIPJasFly."
In a tweet on Wednesday, Waters' management called her a "talented & gifted writer."
"It is with extremely heavy hearts that all of us at RMG mourn the life of our client & friend, Jas Waters," Rain Management wrote on Twitter.
"Jas was a talented & gifted writer, an amazing person, & a sweet soul who will be forever missed. Though she is no longer with us, her impact will be felt for years to come."
May Jas Waters rest in peace.
