Well, here's a story we never thought we'd be telling.
So you know how Jenelle Evans got pregnant when she was 16 years old and in no position whatsoever to raise a child?
And you know how she had the child anyway, a baby boy she named Jace, then kept behaving how she did before she had the baby -- lots of partying and staying out all night, smoking weed, that sort of thing?
She didn't spend an awful lot of time with Jace, and when he was about six months old, her mother, Barbara, officially took custody of him.
Jenelle went on to get arrested a bunch, develop a heroin addiction, have a series of toxic relationships with awful men ...
She got married to Courtland Rogers in the height of her addiction, they split up, she started dating Nathan Griffith and quickly got pregnant with her second son, Kaiser.
She and Nathan broke up, she met David Eason, got pregnant again and gave birth to her third child, a daughter she named Ensley.
And throughout all of this, she never regained custody of Jace.
A few years ago, she and her mother went to court, and in mediation they agreed that Barbara should get full custody of Jace while Jenelle would get a set visitation schedule.
But now, as difficult as it may be to believe, that's all changing.
Yep, after years and years of Jenelle screaming to anyone who would listen that she was going to get Jace back, she actually did it.
We first learned about this development on TikTok where Jenelle directed a video to her new followers, the ones that just started checking her out after Teen Mom 2 came to Netflix recently.
She said a lot of stuff about how she's not the same person she was back then, that a lot had changed, and one of the things she said was that "I have custody of Jace. He lives with me now full-time."
That might have been enough for hew new followers, but for those of us who have been around for a while?
It just sounded like another lie to try to make herself look good.
However, according to a new report from The Ashley's Reality Roundup, she was telling the truth.
A source told The Ashley that Jace has been living down at the swamp, and that "Jenelle and Barbara will sign off on it legally next week."
"They aren't going to court or anything," the source explained, "just signing papers so it's legal and permanent that Jace lives with Jenelle now."
Why the sudden change?
Well, it's not a happy turn of events, that's for sure.
The source said that "This decision has way more to do with Jace than Jenelle," and the issue is that "Barbara can't handle Jace anymore."
"They had been getting into really bad fights and Barbara is just done with it. That's why she agreed to allow Jace to live with Jenelle."
"Things had gotten so bad between Barbara and Jace," the source added.
Apparently Jenelle is "not proud" that it took her so long to regain custody of Jace, "and she's disappointed that the reason he finally came back is because Barbara couldn't handle him anymore and not because Barb felt Jenelle had grown enough to get him back."
Jace has been doing school online because of the pandemic, so thankfully his schedule isn't too different, but it really does sound like he's a full-time resident of the swamp now.
It's sad, too, because it sounds like he's acting out a bit, and life with Jenelle and David Eason won't exactly offer him the stability and care he could use right now.
Hopefully things turn out all right for everyone here, but we'd by lying if we said we didn't have a bad feeling about all of this.
We're very sorry, Meri Brown.
We know you don't want us to go there.
We know you've told us off in the past and tried your hardest to make it clear that you're committed to your marriage.
It's just, well... we can't help it.
Just over a month after Meri poured her heart out, telling off all haters and stating for the record that she definitely loves spiritual husband Kody, the Sister Wives star shared a lengthy message on Instagram.
She did so in celebration of turning 50 years old.
And she only barely mentioned Kody at all in her quasi self-tribute.
Sorry. We just couldn't help but notice.
"Well, this is it guys, officially the last night of my 40's!" wrote Meri on Friday, adding:
"I'm not freaking out, I'm not sad, I'm not struggling with it, it's been a good decade!"
This is great to hear.
Notably because Meri hasn't always seemed so happy on social media or on television, especially when squaring off with Kody and/or arguing with him in couples therapy.
Remember, Kody did say last year that he wishes he had never married Meri.
The Sister Wives veteran proceeded to reflect on that last decade of her life, writing:
"The past 10 years I've watched my kid grow up and finish college, both undergrad and masters, and find an amazing partner, plus a couple cute puppies too!
"I've moved a few times, won a lawsuit, wrote a book, made tons of friends across the country, and started a couple thriving and successful businesses.
"I've traveled, a LOT, seen many amazing places across the US and some out of the country too."
As you can see, Meri did appear to reference Kody in her caption.
We have to assume he's the "amazing partner" cited above, right?
Concluded Brown in her sweet post...
I've made the BEST of friends.
I bought my old family home to share with my extended family (25 year dream come true). I've sung on a cruise ship. I've danced under the stars. I've swam with dolphins.
I've climbed mountains. I have nothing to complain about, it's a good life!
Can't wait to see what the next decade brings!
For nearly all of 2020, questions swirled about the state of Meri's marriage.
She posted one cryptic meme after another, most of which painted the picture of a malcontent wife.
Clearly aware of the speculation out there, Meri then took followers by surprise in early December.
She basically told critics to shut their traps because she was in love.
"Let’s just clarify something here. I love this man. [blue heart emoji] I don’t owe anyone an explanation but I’ll do it anyway," she wrote last month.
"I’m well aware that we, as a family, have chosen to put ourselves ‘out there’, which, in turn, brings about all kinds of speculation, commentary, and opinions.
'But it comes down to this. My relationship with him is MY relationship with him.
"Sure we’ve had ups and downs through the years (I mean, isn’t that somewhat normal?) High highs and low lows. All of which, you get to see ‘some’ of, and speculate on. And that’s ok. You do you, boo.
"But here’s my truth. I love him. I love my family. I’m committed. I have 30 years in this. We struggle. We communicate. We repair relationships as the parties involved are willing and able."
Brown went on to explain that while she is a wife, she is also independent and traveled a lot for work before the COVID-10 pandemic.
She is also a business owner who has multiple friends -- who are both male and female.
“I won’t apologize for that. I’m human. I have feelings. I make mistakes. I rise when I’ve fallen. Sometimes it takes longer than other times to rise. I. Will. Always. Rise.
"I get angry. I feel peace. I feel pain. I feel joy. I forgive. I love. I’m HUMAN, she continued.
“I’m here. I’m committed. I’m not going anywhere. Don’t get your hopes up on that.”

Can you hear them, Duggar Nation?
Stop for a second. Listen closely.
How about now?
Yup. Those are wedding bells. And, according to some astute research, it appears as if they're about to be ringing for Justin Duggar and Claire Spivey.
The very young couple got engaged in November, as a special way to celebrate Duggar turning 18 years old, and they're wasting no time in preparing to be husband and wife.
First, Justin agreed to a weird deal with his dad in which he bought a trailer from Jim Bob for $1.
And this is allegedly where the newlyweds will reside.
Secondly, we're pretty sure the teenagers are gonna walk down the aisle almost as soon as spring arrives.
According to wedding company Zola, Justin and Claire have registered the date of their nuptials as April 16, 2021.
This posting (below) is all we really have to go on at the moment.
However, in mid-December, just a few weeks after the pair got engaged, Claire’s mom did reveal that her daughter and future son-in-law had already selected their wedding date.
So this information tracks, you know?
On December 8, according to property records, Jim Bob sold his son a mobile home for only $1.
This abode seems like the ideal starter home; it consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms and sits on a 4.01 acre lot.
Justin renovated the home after Jim Bob purchased it, as he posted impressive before and after photos of the kitchen online.
"Fixer upper house almost complete!!!” he wrote at the time.
Justin announced he was courting Claire in September.
The young ones have known each other for years because their families are close, prompting many to believe this is an arranged union.
There's no specific evidence to back up this clain.
But come on now. The two are 18 years old and 19 years old, respectively, and we all know what's going on here.
“There is nothing comparable to finding the one you are meant to spend your life with" said the enthusiastic and totally legitimate couple after agreeing to get hitched.
They added at the time:
"We know we have found that in each other. We cannot wait to be married and are looking forward to a life together of faith in Christ, love for one another, and happiness!”
The Duggars and Spiveys are long-time friends who have known each other for more than 20 years... but Justin and Claire first met in early 2019.
Like Justin -- who is Duggar child number-14! -- Claire comes from a large family; she is the oldest child of six.
Together, the betrothed claim they enjoy spending time outdoors and that they bonded over a mutual love of snowboarding.
"So excited to announce that we are engaged!! I will never forget the look on her face when I slid the ring on her finger," Justin captioned an Instagram post. late last year.
"We look forward to the day that we get to begin the rest of our lives together!"
Justin's big sister, Jill Duggar Dillard, couldn't contain her excitement over his news and replied back then:
"Congrats bro! Being married to your best friend the best!!!"
If these two really are getting married in April, we expect a pregnancy announcement to be made in May.
Congratulations ahead of time!
