Luke Bryan’s Fame Doesn’t Give Him ‘Cool’ Points with His Kids: ‘It Doesn’t Faze Them’

Over the weekend, Luke Bryan played to about 30,000 people in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip. If you think his children are impressed, well, think again.

“It’s fun having my boys at the age where if they’re in my truck, I can play them a new song and see if they like it and see what they think about their dad’s newest songs,” he told PEOPLE on Sunday.

His kids — Thomas “Bo” Boyer, 8, and Tatum “Tate” Christopher, 6 — don’t necessarily have a favorite song that their dad sings, but they do have favorite activities.

Still, they understand that a lot people really like their dad, as evidenced by the massive crowd gathered to see him at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Sin City.

“It’s all they’ve ever known. Ever since they’ve been born, I’ve been in this role as a country singer,” he says. “They understand that their dad is a famous person and they understand that when we’re out in public some people are going to want to take pictures or get an autograph.”

But the boys don’t care how many people perceive Bryan as “cool” — he’s still just Dad to them.

“It doesn’t faze them,” Bryan says. “I wouldn’t say it gives me any more cool points. As long as I can play with them in the yard or wrestle with them on the floor, that’s pretty much all they’re concerned with.”

Best Playdate Ever! Carrie Underwood Shares Sweet Photos of Son Isaiah Visiting Sesame Place

Carrie Underwood/Instagram

Hello, Elmo!

Carrie Underwood‘s son Isaiah had the time of his life over the weekend when the country star and her tot visited Sesame Place, an amusement park featuring all the favorites from Sesame Street, in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.

In a series of Instagram posts, the proud mom, 33, spent a fun day with her 19-month-old, who she shares with husband Mike Fisher.

“Since we were in the area…we got the chance to make Isaiah’s day! Thanks, #sesameplace for the fun! We all had a blast!” Underwood wrote in a post, showing her son being greeted by Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Zoe and Count Von Count.

In a subsequent post, Underwood shared an adorable photo of her son — dressed in jeans and a gray jacket with white stars — embracing his furry new friend, Elmo.

“Isaiah [loves] ELMO!!! #sesameplace,” she wrote in the post.

And the Sesame Street star sighting didn’t end there. Later in the day, Underwood — who was spotted munching on popcorn with Isaiah in tow as they made their way around the amusement park — posted a photo of her toddler covered in a few new plush pals.

“I call this photo: Sesame OD #sesameplace,” she captioned the fun snapshot.

The mother-son duo stopped by the park’s Sesame Street en route to Hershey, Pennsylvania, where Underwood continued her North American leg of The Storyteller Tour. Last month, she talked to PEOPLE about life on the road for her family of three.

“On days off, we look for parks and zoos and aquariums,” she said. “It’s definitely a balancing act. I have help, because someone has to watch Isaiah when I’m on stage, but we live a lot more on the bus now instead of going in and out of hotels.”

For Underwood, it’s important to make sure Fisher — a center for the Nashville Predators — spends time bonding with Isaiah.

“We FaceTime almost every day so [Mike] can have a little interaction with Isaiah,” she says. “That has to be hard, for him to be away from Isaiah. I have never been on that side of it. They need their time together because Isaiah loves his daddy!”

Underwood is slated to perform in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Tuesday.

Luke Bryan on Raising Nephew Til After His Brother-in-Law’s Death: ‘We Woke Up and Had a Teenager in Our Midst’

Luke Bryan
Lester Cohen/Getty

Luke Bryan has learned a few important lessons about parenting a teenager — far sooner than he had expected.

The singer stepped up to care for nephew Til and nieces Kris and Jordan after the sudden death of Bryan’s brother-in-law in 2014. The children’s father had been raising his kids on his own following Bryan’s late sister’s death in 2007.

Bryan and his wife Caroline have since settled into life with 14-year-old Til, who now lives with the family in Nashville. The country crooner calls their blended group “a social experiment” — an “amazing” one, he notes.

“We woke up and had a teenager in our midst, but we love it,” Bryan tells PEOPLE. “It’s nothing but positive. Til is having a blast and I think he’s finally settled in being in Nashville.”

But Bryan, who has two boys of his own with Caroline, Thomas “Bo” Boyer, 8, and Tatum “Tate” Christopher, 6, admits he’s had to navigate some tricky parenting waters sooner than he thought.

“We’re having to watch grades and watch Instagram and Snap Chat and keep him from being on that all day long,” he says. “It’s interesting because he’ll be a boy one minute and he’ll act like a man the next, so you just try to help him make good decisions and study hard and be respectful and try to do your best to raise them right.”

And Til is teaching his uncle a few things along the way. Chief among them? “Don’t wrestle a teen!” Bryan says with a laugh. “He throws me around the house pretty good now! He’s taller than me now and he can chuck me around pretty easily.”

Bo and Tate, meanwhile, have learned a few new tricks from Til.

“They learn all the dances from him,” Bryan, who heads out on his eighth annual Farm Tour next month, says. “What is it? The Dab and all that. And the Nae Nae. He teaches them all that. They’re out there in the yard doing that when they score a touchdown.”

The singer, who’s known for some of his own moves, is quick to note that he won’t be adding the new dances to his stage repertoire.

“I try not to learn all that stuff!” he says. In fact, in the eyes of his teenage charge, “I’m spiraling toward more and more uncool as a dad now.”

Carrie Underwood Does Her Laundry (and Hair and Makeup!) on Tour: It ‘Makes Me Feel Human’

“Dirty Laundry” isn’t just Carrie Underwood‘s latest single: It’s a day-to-day task that doesn’t stop when she’s on tour.

“We travel with a washer-dryer. Doing my own laundry makes me feel like a human,” the 33-year-old country singer tells PEOPLE of life on the road with 18-month-old Isaiah Michael, her son with her NHL player husband Mike Fisher.

In fact, having bits of her everyday life with her on tour is crucial for the seven-time Grammy winner.

“I bring my dogs, which is a little piece of home. And I have a cooking surface on the bus because I like to cook as much as possible. Room service gets old,” adds Underwood, who just resumed her North American portion of The Storyteller Tour — Stories in the Round with a show in Anchorage, Alaska, on Wednesday.

Underwood is a busy woman these days. Aside from parenting duties and putting on multiple shows a week, she is also gearing up to co-host the 50th Annual Country Music Awards alongside Brad Paisley.

But the hectic schedule is just part of life for the singer and mom of one.

“It’s definitely a balancing act. I have help, because someone has to watch Isaiah when I’m on stage, but we live a lot more on the bus now instead of going in and out of hotels,” she explains.

Instagram Photo

Luckily, Underwood has everything she needs in their mobile abode for her son to be happy and comfortable.

“My bus is outfitted for him — he has a crib in the back, and everything is safe there,” she says. “That’s a whole other thing — when you’re in a hotel, they probably wonder why I put the big plant in the closet. It’s because he’ll grab it.

“Or the big lamp on the floor? I have to put it in the closet,” the “Cowboy Casanova” singer adds. “It’s a whole new thing to think about, and it’s definitely a lot more going on.”

Instagram Photo

The American Idol alum might have her hands full, but she also finds time for quiet bonding moments with her little boy.

“On days off, we look for parks and zoos and aquariums,” she says, adding that she likes to go to farmer’s markets, co-ops and more to buy groceries wherever she’s visiting.

Carrie Underwood Laundry on Road with Son

Underwood reveals that between all that, she’s somehow still able to find time for just herself.

“I do my own hair and makeup on the road. It’s another thing that … I’m a person and I’m a lady, and I like to do my own makeup and hair,” she says. “On red carpets, somebody else has to do it for me because the lights can do weird stuff with your face. But on the road, it’s my zen time before the show.”

But she also admits, “When it’s all over, I just want to enjoy some time at home and watch some hockey!”

As for parenting with her husband, who is a center for the Nashville Predators, Underwood says they make it work while she has Isaiah with her on the road by taking advantage of current technology.

“We FaceTime almost every day so [Mike] can have a little interaction with Isaiah,” she says. “He comes out sometimes. I look for times when his schedule has him playing at home, and we might send Isaiah home to be with him so he can have some time with him.

“That has to be hard, for him to be away from Isaiah. I have never been on that side of it,” the “Jesus Take the Wheel” singer adds. “They need their time together because Isaiah loves his daddy!”

David Nail on Fertility Struggles Before His Twins: We Felt ‘Like Everything Was Stacked Against’ Us

David Nail became a first-time dad in December to twins Lawson Brent and Lillian Catherine. And now, he’s opening up about the fertility struggles he and wife of seven years Catherine endured on their multiple-year journey toward expanding their family.

“A lot of what we dealt with had to do with me,” admits the country singer, 37, in a video for his website’s #Fighter series, which premiered Wednesday and will lead up to the Friday release of Nail’s album Fighter. “As a man, you definitely don’t want to hear that.”

Aside from Nail’s video — in which he and Catherine discuss their fertility issues and Nail’s past experiences with long-term depression — the six-episode series will run inspirational “fighter” stories from everyday people who have conquered hurdles in their own lives.

The “Night’s On Fire” crooner also recounts his thoughts behind their decision to implant two embryos, regardless of the risk and difficulty involved in potentially having and raising twins.

” ‘It’s been this difficult … if we are so lucky to have two, it may be the only two we ever get,’ ” Nail recalls saying.

Though Nail admits it got to the point where it felt “like everything was stacked against” the couple, the time and effort involved in trying multiple procedures was worth it — for both of them.

“[Catherine] had dreams to be a mother, and would always tell me that’s what she was born to do,” he says. “So in whatever way I was [contributing to that not] happening was beyond frustrating.”

Catherine adds it was “insult to injury” for her husband after finding out the cause of their conception issues right around the time Nail’s depression was diagnosed. But she adds she would go through the entire fertility treatment process again.

“Your eye is on the prize, and that’s just what I kept telling myself every single day: ‘What’s the end result?’ ” the new mom says. “Yes, this may hurt for now, but I would do it again. I would do it 10 times again to get what we have now.

Instagram Photo

The couple also shares the stories behind the moments Catherine found out she was pregnant, breaking the news to her husband and the day their children were born.

“I had a pretty decent idea of what I was about to witness but I had, at the end of the day, no clue,” Nail says about his experience during his wife’s labor and childbirth. “I can remember [the doctors] counting the needles and counting the knives and the tools.

“I can remember her shaking,” he adds, continuing emotionally as both he and his wife tear up. “And then you hear somebody cry.”

Nail also admits that he knew his life had just changed in the best way immediately upon the arrival of Lawson and Lillian.

“It’s the beginning of a new journey, but it’s the end of this tremendous struggle that we had gone through for so long,” the singer says of his thoughts following the moment he became a father.

Instagram Photo

Fighter comprises 11 tracks total — including one called “Babies,” a tribute to his twins.

“The most important part of the song was to let them know, ‘Hey, this wasn’t just some Tuesday night [where] we went out to dinner and came home and nine months later you were here,’ ” he shares. ” ‘This was a lot of prayer, a lot of work, a lot of frustration, anger, fights.’ ”

He continues shakily before wiping a tear away, “You just want them to know that it wasn’t easy, but [you’d] go through it 15 times just to experience that moment again.”

In a press release for the album, Nail gets honest about what writing and recording the album meant for him.

“I truly believe this album, from top to bottom, is the first time I have been able to tell my story in real time of where I am right now as an artist, a husband and a father,” he confessed.

“I wrote more songs for this album than I have for any of my other three so it’s already more personal. Fighter speaks to my journey, my life and now to where I am personally and professionally.”

Jake Owen Let Daughter Pearl Choose the Color of His New Boat – She Picked Pink!

Jake Owen
Michael Simon/Startraks

It’s no secret that Jake Owen loves to be on the water. It’s also no secret that he loves hanging out with his daughter Olive Pearl  — so it’s no surprise that she picked out the colors of her dad’s newest boat.

Well, almost.

“She wanted pink and blue, although I thought pink and blue might not be the greatest combination,” Owen told PEOPLE at CMA Fest, where he opened the show by coming up to the stage on a boat, in June.

“We stuck with the pink and went pink and silver sparkle flakes.”

The “American Country Love Song” singer has been shaking things up this year. He hopped in a 1966 seafoam green Volkswagen Microbus, affectionately called “Jake’s Love Bus,” and drove from Nashville to Key West while filming the music video for his latest single from his upcoming album American Love, out July 29.

Owen, 34, plans to spend the summer continuing his adventures alongside his 3½-year-old daughter.

“She’s at the age where she’s learning to swim and we’re working on whether or not she feels comfortable getting up on a tube,” he shares.

Their adventures together are well documented on Owen’s Instagram account — fishing on Father’s Day and hitting the golf course together, Pearl with her own appropriately-sized clubs.

The two are a match made in heaven. “Pearl loves the water as well, so we’re gonna go wherever that takes us,” he says.

Charles Kelley Says Motherhood Makes His Wife ‘Really Sexy’: There’s ‘Beauty in the Way She Handles Our Baby’

Charles Kelley Rob Thomas Crossroads

Charles Kelley is suffering from first-time dad problems.

“I can’t tell if he’s smiling or [if] it’s gas,” the Lady Antebellum singer, 34, told PEOPLE of his son before taping the latest installment of CMT Crossroads alongside Matchbox 20 frontman Rob Thomas.

Kelley and his wife Cassie welcomed their first child, Ward Charles, in February and the two are relishing their “really chill” baby boy.

“As of now, I see him as a very even temperament,” Kelley says. “If we have another kid, I’m sure that will change everything.”

The singer, who released his solo album Driver earlier this year, confesses the arrival of their son made him look at his wife in a whole new light.

“There’s a motherly sweetness and beauty in the way she handles our baby. It’s really sexy,” he shares.

Instagram Photo

Kelley and Thomas are the latest in a long line of musical matchups for Crossroads.

“The Crossroads we were lucky enough to do with Stevie Nicks, that started a relationship where she’s even singing on my new record,” Kelley explains.

So is there a Lady Antebellum/Matchbox 20 mashup on the horizon?

“We are already talking about a writing session,” says Kelley. “The wheels are turning and he comes to Nashville a lot so it’s such an organic matchup. I think we’ll write together, we’ll write with Lady A, write for each others projects.”

Keifer Thompson Jokes Charles Kelley Looks Like a ‘New Dad’ Who Is ‘Not Sleeping’

Even celebrities aren’t free of the wrath of sleepless newborns.

“We don’t sleep,” Lady Antebellum‘s Charles Kelley told PEOPLE Wednesday night on the red carpet at the CMT Awards. “I don’t know if Ward is just growing so fast or teething or what, but we don’t get any sleep.”

The Grammy-nominated artist, 34 — who welcomed his first child, son Ward Charles, in February — admits that the new lifestyle has been hardest on his wife Cassie, who stays up with their baby boy throughout the night for feedings.

“By the time 6:30 a.m. rolls around, she’s ready for a break,” he says, “which I’m not used to — I’m used to sleeping until 10 a.m.! It’s a different world, man.”

But some country-artist parents are luckier than others. Shawna Thompson of Thompson Square gave birth to son Rigney Cooper two weeks before Ward’s birth, and she and husband Keifer have had a completely different experience.

“We went back on the road about a month ago, and he’s took to it really well,” Shawna says. “He’s sleeping on the bus.”

Adds Keifer, “We put him in there, and the bus starts rolling and he’s out. It’s wonderful.”

How does his pal Kelley feel about this?

“They hate us,” Keifer jokes. “You can look at Charles and just tell he’s a new dad and not sleeping. Poor man!”

Like Cooper, Ward has also become a mini jet-setter, having been on 13 flights to meet up with his dad on The Driver tour. An avid golfer, Kelley already has grand plans for his son to follow suit.

“You can tell he wants to stand and walk and move,” he says. “So many people have come over and said, ‘I’ve never seen a baby at this age already show signs of standing up, holding himself up.’ He’s got a lot of strength in his arms, so we’ll see.”

Cassie says that everything about becoming a parent has been “surprising.”

“You know how it’s going to change your life, but even knowing that going into it, you really have no clue,” the new mom says.

Kelley adds, “When I’m on the road, I cannot wait to get home and just see him and be around him, even though I know it’s going to be exhausting. The three of us together are just this new family unit. It’s turned into a different life — it’s so much fun.”

Jana Kramer’s Blog: The Twists and Turns of My Daughter’s Delivery

Jana Kramer is a new mom!

The 32-year-old country singer/songwriter’s song “I Got the Boy” has been certified gold, was named one of the best songs of 2015 by the New York Times, as well as Rolling Stone. Her album, thirty one, features 11 tracks including latest single “Said No One Ever.” Stream the record here.

Kramer is nominated for female vocalist of the year and breakthrough female of the year at Sunday’s American Country Countdown Awards, where she’s also presenting.

Before moving to Nashville, where she lives with her husband, former NFL tight end Michael Caussin, and their three dogs, Kramer was an actress, playing Alex on One Tree Hill and guest-starring on Friday Night Lights, Entourage and 90210.

The couple wed in Charlottesville, Virginia, in May and welcomed their first child, daughter Jolie Rae, on Jan. 31.

Kramer can be found on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter @kramergirl.

I can’t believe it has been almost three months since I gave birth to our baby girl! It honestly feels like just yesterday.

It is funny, when I first got pregnant I asked everyone who had a baby what their delivery story was. I don’t know if I asked because I was nervous about what was going to happen, or if I just wanted to be prepared. What I learned from asking though was that everyone’s story was different and I was so anxious to find out what our story was going to be.

It definitely wasn’t one of the stories I heard where everything went as planned and that no pain was felt.

A few weeks before I had Jolie, I was having Braxton Hicks contractions and they started to get stronger so I made Michael take me to the hospital. I swore I was going into labor. Five hours later, no baby and just a lot of wasted time as we walked out of the hospital. I kept asking the doctor, “But how will I know if they are real labor contractions?” She said, “Oh, trust me, you will know.”

I didn’t know what that meant until the morning of January 31st.

Jana Kramer blog

My mom flew in from Michigan on January 30th because we knew the time was near. We went to see Star Wars the night before and I remember barely being able to walk because my joints were hurting me so bad and just praying she would come soon. That night, I had contractions all night long.

When I woke up at 8 in the morning, I stood up and I remember looking at my husband saying, “Um, honey, I’m not peeing myself so I think this is my water breaking.” All of my friends that I have talked to never had their water break so I didn’t know what to expect.

Jana Kramer blog
Courtesy Jana Kramer

About a minute later, I had insanely crazy contractions. I started screaming because they hurt so badly, so my mom came flying down the stairs and I ran outside. I waited for about 10 minutes as my husband brushed his teeth and put on clothes, meanwhile I am outside the car screaming, yelling for him to get his butt out of the house.

It is quite the joke now but at the time, it was so not funny. I must have woken up my whole neighborhood by screaming his name to get into the car. Thirty minutes and 100mph later we were at the hospital.

Jana Kramer blog

I was having contractions every two to three minutes and they were so bad that I couldn’t talk. I knew then what the doctor meant when she said “you will know.” Oh I knew, and oh boy was I ready for that epidural. I have a crazy amount of respect for women that have natural births and as much as I would like to pretend I would have wanted to, I did not at all.

By 9 a.m., I was given the epidural. I will say I was most nervous for this part because I heard it was painful, but honestly it wasn’t bad at all. It was like a small bee sting and then BANG, my contractions were gone. I will admit I wasn’t a fan of not feeling my legs. To not have control was very weird, but I would rather that over the pain I felt an hour before.

As I sat there waiting to go into labor, my best friend Kathryn came and we played cards and hung out. My doctor checked in with me a few times and I was very anxious for what was next. I was hoping for a vaginal birth, so when she came in at 3 p.m. saying I needed to have an emergency c-section, it scared the living daylights outta me.

I had a fever that kept spiking and my white cell count was a lot higher than it should have been so my doctor said for the health and safety of me and the baby, we needed to get her out immediately. Needless to say, I was scared and everything that followed happened so fast. I was wheeled back and was set up for a c-section.

Jana Kramer blog

Thirty minutes later, I met my baby girl Jolie. She had a fever so she spent her first two hours in the NICU with Daddy, and it wasn’t until three hours later that I got to really hold my baby girl. I wish I could explain that moment. It was the most surreal, most loving moment of my life. I never thought I could love something so much.

Three months later and I love her even more than I thought was ever possible. The past three months have had their ups and downs and the first two weeks post-pregnancy were really hard for me. My emotions were everywhere. I remember my husband Mike walking into the room and I was bawling and he asked what was wrong and I had NO idea. It was very intense and would come out of nowhere.

I also dealt with a lot of shame with the fact that my milk never came in. I had a really, really hard time with that. I felt like I wasn’t a good mom because of it, but what I think hurt the worst was because of all the “mommy shame” out there. At the end of the day, I was a formula baby and I think I turned out okay.:)

My baby girl has been really gassy and colicky, but now at 13 weeks she is starting to really show her adorable personality. Her smile is everything and she for sure has my dimples. She already has Mike and I wrapped around her finger 100 percent. I have never in my life been this in love.

The constant variable in all of this has been Mike. He has been insanely caring, reliable, and to see him with our daughter makes me melt. I can’t wait to see the relationship they build and for him to show her how a man should treat a woman.

Tour season has started and we have a baby on board! It has brought on its own set of challenges, but we are all figuring it out. She has started sleeping through the night, which has helped. But it is very tiring when I’m up with her early in the morning and then having to go on stage at 10 p.m.

It really is 24-7 mom to singer to mom, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I am excited to see what is to come. Seeing how strong she is with her neck already, and then soon she will be rolling over, to walking … it’s amazing how time is already flying by. Stay tuned!

Jana Kramer is red hot.

On Sunday, the 32-year-old country singer hit the red carpet at the 51st annual Academy of Country Music Awards, marking her first appearance since giving birth to daughter Jolie Rae in January.

Donning a revealing dress and diamond jewels from D’Orazio & Associates, Kramer smiled alongside husband Mike Caussin at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena on country’s big night.

The star showed off her look once again when she took the stage with Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller to announce song of the year, which went to Chris Stapleton‘s “Nobody to Blame.” For Kramer, dressing to the nines has become a special occasion.

“I don’t wear anything nice anymore, I have spit-up on me constantly, I haven’t showered in three days, and I’m not quite sure when I brushed my teeth last,” the first-time mom exclusively told PEOPLE of her exciting new chapter in March.

Still, throughout her journey into motherhood, Kramer said she been keeping it cool.

“All of my friends have been like, ‘Yeah, don’t take this the wrong way. We totally thought that you were going to be super stressed out, basically have a mental breakdown,'” she said.

But as it turns out, “Being a mom is the most incredible feeling in the world,” she shared. “I always wanted to be a mom. I’m so happy!”

And her husband Caussin has been there every step of the way.

“Mike is so hands-on,” Kramer explained. “I have zero worries about him taking care of her. He’s the best. We have this little baby app on our phone and we both go on there and log when she’s fed, when she peed last … he’s on top of that.”

Jana Kramer Gets Real About Being a New Mom: ‘I’m Not Quite Sure When I Brushed My Teeth Last’

Jana Kramer has been a mom for two months now — she and husband Michael Caussin welcomed daughter Jolie Rae in January.

And all things considered, the country singer, 32, says she’s taken to motherhood a lot better than she (and her pals!) thought.

“All of my friends have been like, ‘Yeah, don’t take this the wrong way. We totally thought that you were going to be super stressed out, basically have a mental breakdown,’ ” Kramer tells PEOPLE exclusively.

But thankfully, the “Said No One Ever” singer explains that isn’t the case at all. “Being a mom is the most incredible feeling in the world,” says Kramer. “I always wanted to be a mom. I’m so happy!”

PEOPLE caught up with our blogger to talk about everything from breastfeeding and late nights to the upcoming ACM Awards and a much-needed date night.

PEOPLE: As a first-time mom, were you really nervous about impending motherhood?

Jana: I had so much anxiety before she was born! I couldn’t remember the last time I changed a diaper, and I was like, “How do you know what cry is what?” I wasn’t really around newborns a lot so I was extremely freaked out.

PEOPLE: Were the first couple of days really difficult?

Jana: The second she came out and we got home, it was like, “Oh I got this!” The mom instinct just totally kicked in and you really do realize which cry is which. It’s the craziest thing. All of a sudden I’m like, “I’m the mom. I got this.”

Jana: The most challenging thing so far has definitely been figuring out what’s going on with her tummy. She’s such a gassy baby. I’m on Google 24/7 trying to figure out what to do and see what other moms say. It’s been tough –I hate to see her cry.

PEOPLE: Are you getting any sleep?

Jana: Unfortunately, my breast milk never came in. I had trouble with that –there’s so much mommy shame about not breastfeeding. She’s on formula. It does help with getting some sleep though. I do the first night feeding and Mike does the next one. We’re sleeping probably like four to five hours. That’s not bad.

PEOPLE: Has your husband been a big help?

Jana: Mike is so hands-on. I have zero worries about him taking care of her. He’s the best. We have this little baby app on our phone and we both go on there and log when she’s fed, when she peed last … he’s on top of that.

PEOPLE: Are you a super glam mom?

Jana: I don’t wear anything nice anymore, I have spit-up on me constantly, I haven’t showered in three days, and I’m not quite sure when I brushed my teeth last.

PEOPLE: Yikes, sounds like you need a date night!

Jana: Yeah, I need some me time. I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty excited for the ACM Awards. I haven’t felt that pretty!

PEOPLE: Will you be bringing Jolie to Las Vegas for the show? You’re nominated this year!

Jana: No, but I have full trust in my in-laws that they’re going to take good care of her. We’re going to be away from her for four nights. It will be rough. I basically told them that they have to send a million pictures.

I will be on that baby tracker app, being like, “It’s been three hours, you need to feed her now!” I will be on that thing like crazy. But I’m also going to try and enjoy myself too and the time away with the husband because I think that’s important as well.

PEOPLE: What are the plans for when you get back on the road?

Jana: We’ve got the crib and the changing table on the bus … Everything we have at home is also going on the bus. I’m not slowing down –I’m actually doing more shows than I did last year.

Why Dierks Bentley Thinks a Ballet Lesson Would Be Good for Luke Bryan

As two of country’s top acts, Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley have a lot in common. But when the longtime friends get together, talk turns to family rather than fame.

“We’ve had this similar trajectory of life and family,” says Bentley, 40. “That’s always the biggest bond for us — being married and having kids. That’s the real stuff.”

The pair, who will be hosting the ACM Awards together on Sunday, married within a year of one another (Bentley in 2005 and Bryan in 2006) and both had their first kids in 2008.

When Bentley learned his third child was going to be a boy — son Knox is now 2 — after having had two girls, Evie, 7, and Jordan, 5, Bryan couldn’t contain his excitement.

“When he had his first boy, I was like, ‘Yes!’ ” says Bryan, 39, who has two sons, Bo, 8, and Tate, 5, plus his late sister’s son and two daughters, whom he is now raising.

“I have three boys now, so that’s my out: ‘Baby, I’m going fishing and I’m taking the boys!’ ”

Bentley wasn’t so sure. “At the time, I was reserved about it. I’m crazy about my girls and I’m very protective of them. But Luke was like, ‘You’ll see!’ And it is unbelievable.”

He adds, “Knox is a little mini-me. He loves airplanes, loves hockey, loves fishing, loves any sport. He is going to be my ticket to do a lot of fun stuff! I love being outdoors and my girls do a lot of outdoor stuff, but we also do a lot of theater and dance.”

Bryan says with a laugh: “Me at a ballerina deal? I don’t even know what I’d do!”

“It would be good for you!” Bentley says.

“It may be, but I wouldn’t even know what was going on,” quips Bryan.

“Dude,” says Bentley. “That’s how girls change you — you don’t know, but you learn!”

Carrie Underwood Says Son Isaiah Is Her Biggest Accomplishment: He’s the ‘Little Sunshine in My World’

She may have just kicked off her Storyteller tour, but Carrie Underwood is already in need of a night off.

And what better way to celebrate than while walking the red carpet at Monday’s Grammy Awards at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

“We’re in random places sometimes and we’re just stuck with whatever we have. We’ve been really great and staying fit and being healthy while we’re on the road, making the best with what we’ve got,” the “Heartbeat” singer told E! News.

“But this is my little treat to myself this time. This is such a huge tour, we’re out for so long — I need some motivation.”

An evening out isn’t Underwood’s only recent treat: The singer showed off her stunning new Johnathon Arndt necklace, a Valentine’s Day present from husband Mike Fisher.

“[I’ve been] wearing it for no reason. Like, I’m in my pajamas in my room hanging out, just wearing this for no reason,” she joked. “I was like, ‘I’m not just gonna save it for red carpets. I’ve gotta put it on!’ ”

And while she’s nominated for best country solo performance for “Little Toy Guns,” Underwood admits her biggest accomplishment arrived in March 2015 when she welcomed son Isaiah Michael.

“My little guy is the little sunshine in my world every single day,” she said. “He’s back at the hotel right now. He’s smiley and sweet and happy and … he’s the best.”

Charles Kelley Considered Taking Private Plane to the Grammys, But Hasn’t Been Out of His Robe in Two Days

It’s been a wild ride for Charles Kelley: Not only is “The Driver” singer a first-time father, but he’s also up for his first Grammy nomination as a solo artist for his hit new single.

But if he wins best country duo/group performance on Monday, the new dad will not be on hand to accept the award.

The decision comes after Kelley and his wife Cassie welcomed son Ward Charles on Thursday — six days ahead of his original due date. In the week leading up to his son’s birth, Kelley, 34, told PEOPLE attending music’s biggest night was still up in the air.

“I told [Cassie], ‘I do not have to go,’ and she goes, ‘No, I want you to go, Charles. This project means the world to you — this is a big moment for you,’ ” he said.

“If I do go to the Grammys, I’m going to just have to bite the bullet and have a little private plane waiting in the wings.”

On Monday, Kelley took to Twitter to confirm he wouldn’t be attending. “Haven’t gotten out of my robe for two days. wish I could be [at the Grammys] today but my boy [Eric Paslay] representing in case we win,” he tweeted.

Other than the hectic timing of their baby boy’s birth, the first-time father felt pretty confident about parenthood. After spending much of his time surrounded by kids — brother Josh Kelley and his wife Katherine Heigl have two daughters while Lady Antebellum bandmates Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood are also parents — Kelley admitted he had plenty of experience.

“I feel really prepared. I know that sounds so naive, but I have a lot of nieces and nephews,” he explained. “I’ve been around Dave and Hillary’s babies on the road a lot.”

And Kelley has also dedicated time to brushing up on his baby skills on his own, which has included YouTube tutorials on swaddling. “That is the most astonishing thing,” he joked. “Babies are going ape s— [and] all of a sudden get them into that tight burrito and they just shut down. It’s the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.”

All the baby prepping had a few surprising perks, said Kelley — especially when it came time to learn about breastfeeding..

“We had a lactation nurse come over and talk to Cassie about all the different things and apparently, I’m supposed to massage her boob a little bit,” he shared. “I was like, ‘I can do that!’ ”

And while Kelley was clearly thrilled about welcoming his son — “We’ve been waiting for this moment for what feels like our whole marriage,” he said — the Lady Antebellum singer was worried about one thing.

“The only thing that scares me is the lack of sleep. I am such a baby when it comes to no sleep,” he explained. “Sleeping and vocal health go in the same category. I can always tell when I’ve been on the road and haven’t gotten any sleep.”

But even the potential all-nighters with a newborn didn’t deter Kelley’s excitement.

“I know how to do the rest of the things — I’m not grossed out by any of the other stuff,” he said. “I feel like I’m going to be a good dad. I love kids so much.”

Gorgeous! Jana Kramer Poses in Breathtaking Pregnancy Photo Shoot

She’s got the … glow!

Jana Kramer and husband Michael Caussin are sharing the love they have for their daughter and each other in a beautiful photo shoot — and PEOPLE has the exclusive first look.

“I wanted to do a pregnancy shoot so that we can always look back on this moment,” Kramer tells PEOPLE exclusively.

“I also think it’ll be a cool little momentum for our daughter to have and to see how young we looked. It has been an incredible joy carrying our baby girl and I wanted to snapshot that memory.”

Three months after the happy couple wed in May 2015, they announced they were expecting their first child together.

“Being a mom will be the greatest job I’ll ever have,” Kramer previously told PEOPLE. “I feel like the luckiest girl alive to be on this journey with the love of my life.”

Shot by photographer Brooke Kelly, the photos tell the story of a mother and father and the overwhelming joy they share in the anticipation of their little one’s arrival.

“One of my favorite photos is me wearing my Burberry poncho that my husband got me for my birthday because it not only has my initials but our girl’s too,” says Kramer. “So one day I’ll be able to pass that down to her.”

She adds, “I also love the shot of just me in the cotton fields. I loved the location and with the sun setting it was just perfect. It really captured the peace in carrying her in that photo.”

Though visibly glowing, Kramer previously admitted to experiencing the not-so-fun part of pregnancy — the morning sickness.

Shortly after announcing their pregnancy, Kramer tweeted, “Thanks for all the love! Michael & I are SO excited. Now my question for all the moms … when did your morning sickness go away?! #help!”

With her baby girl’s arrival fast approaching, Kramer admits Caussin, a former NFL tight-end, has been incredibly patient with her and says you can see it in the photographs.

“I also love the one with Michael and I in the cotton fields because to me it shows how gentle and kind and patient my husband has been with me,” the country star says.

“I really just wanted the shoot to show our love for our baby-girl-to-be and the love me and my husband have together.”

Jana Kramer Embraces Her Baby Body: ‘Pregnancy Makes Me Feel So Pretty’

Baby woes? Not here — Jana Kramer is totally loving the changes pregnancy has had on her body.

The country star, who is expecting her first child with husband Michael Caussin in a matter of weeks, tells Fit Pregnancy and Baby in the magazine’s February issue that she’s enjoyed filling out, even though she looks “like I swallowed a watermelon.”

“I wasn’t sure how I’d look as I got bigger, but pregnancy makes me feel so pretty,” Kramer, who wore Bella Dahl’s Split Back Button Down Top for the shoot, shares. “[Michael] says he’s put on eight pounds of sympathy weight, but I think it’s more like 10.”

Catch up on Jana Kramer’s PEOPLE.com pregnancy blog series.

The 32-year-old has been working steadily throughout her pregnancy — her album thirty one was released in October — and plans to get right back on the road after giving birth.

“It’s hard, but I’ve just had to suck it up,” the “I Got the Boy” singer says of powering through “all-day” morning sickness. “I’ve told my management that six weeks after the baby is born, I’ll be ready to go back on the road. Mama’s gotta work.”

Her restless nature is, in part, why she wanted to find out the baby’s sex before birth (it’s a girl!).

“Michael and I are really bad about keeping surprises,” says the former One Tree Hill star. “We’ll buy each other things for holidays, then just give them to each other in advance.”

For the gender reveal party, the couple wore white t-shirts and had friends and family spray them with water guns filled with pink paint. Only Kramer’s best friend knew the sex, and carefully filled up the toys.

“It was such a sweet moment when everyone we loved found out we were having a daughter,” Kramer shares.

So what’s the mom-to-be’s plan for when her little girl actually arrives? First, she’s listening to her friends’ guidance to not listen to “anyone else’s advice.”

Kramer thinks motherhood will all go okay, though — just as long as her daughter “forgives me for all the things I get wrong along the way!”

The “I Love This Life” singer and Kristen chose their baby girl’s middle name as a tribute to Kristen’s grandmother, but Love’s first name also has a special place in their heart — and on the radio!

“The OB/GYN thought it was such a unique name,” the proud new parents share.

“As she finished for the night and headed to her car, she turned on the radio only to hear LOCASH’s hit single ‘I Love This Life.’ It was such a jaw-dropping moment that she not only had just delivered Love Lily Brust, but proof that this name was a perfect fit.”

Brust and his LOCASH counterpart, Chris Lucas, released their I Love This Life EP in October and will be touring throughout 2016. The title track is currently at No. 3 on the country charts.

Jennifer Nettles: ‘I Don’t Think I’ve Established What It’s Like to Be a Working Mom’

Jennifer Nettles knows all about the struggle of being a working mom: She’s living it every day.

“It has been such a crazy shakeup of my life and identity,” says Nettles of having son Magnus Hamilton, 3 on Sunday.

“I still don’t think I’ve established … what it is to be a working mom. I just continue to juggle and do the best I can, and try to be the best mom I can. [I] love him, and show him what it is to have this life.”

Jennifer Nettles

Nettles, 41, recently wrapped filming on the Dolly Parton film Coat of Many Colors, in which she plays young Dolly’s mother, Avie Lee Parton. The working mom went straight into rehearsals for her Playing With Fire tour — all with little Magnus in tow.

“We cosleep,” says Nettles, who calls herself a “super-crunchy, granola, old-school mom.”

According to the country singer, the key to making it all work is to keep things consistent for Magnus, whether they’re at home or on her tour bus.

“I love the mornings, I love when he comes over and wants to snuggle before we get up,” she shares. “I love snuggling on the couch while I have my coffee … All those things can still happen on the bus.”

The actress, who is working on her second solo album and hopes to take on more acting gigs in the future, says it’s all been a learning process.

“I was never one of those girls that felt it was my dream to get married and have a family … That wasn’t me,” says Nettles. “I say it like this: Being a mother is my first priority, but it is not my first calling.”

She adds, “I had a purpose before that: to create art that connects. But at the same time, I am better for having become a mother.”

Coat of Many Colors airs Thursday, Dec. 10, at 9 p.m. on NBC.

Inside Jana Kramer’s Gorgeous (and Glam!) Baby Shower

Jana Kramer is one lucky mom-to-be!

The country singer and her husband Michael Caussin celebrated the upcoming birth of their first child, a daughter due in February, with an elaborate baby shower that was attended by plenty of their family and friends, including new mom Carrie Underwood.

The shower was sponsored by USANA and Sleeping Baby and produced by Good Carma Studio. Guests sipped La Croix and went home with gifts like Tiny Devotions‘ Mama Mala beads in party favor bags personalized with Mabel’s Labels.

After the shower, PEOPLE caught up with Kramer to discuss everything from the special celebration and her baby registry to the nursery and her final trimester.

PEOPLE: The shower was beautiful! What was your favorite part? The cake looked especially delicious.

Jana: The shower was everything and more we could have ever dreamed it would be.
My favorite part was when Michael and I took in the room and just saw all the love that was surrounding us and our baby girl-to-be. And, yes, the cupcakes were amazing! Ivey makes the best cupcakes ever.

PEOPLE: How did it feel to have everyone gathered to celebrate you and your upcoming arrival?

Jana: Honestly it felt amazing. Michael’s family drove in 11 hours to spend the day with us as did some of his friends and mine. I’m on the road so much that I hardly get to see all my girls because we are all so busy so the fact that we could all come together meant the world to me.

PEOPLE: Loved you and Michael’s color-coordinated outfits — tell us a little about your dress/look for the shower.

Jana: Hahaha Yeah, Michael and I have this thing where we don’t plan it at all. Tiffany Rose sent me some gorgeous maternity dresses and when I saw one was the color of the shower, I was sold on it! It also made me feel really pretty. Of course, when I walked into the bathroom, my sweet husband was also in a similar color. But, hey, it worked and he looked so handsome.

PEOPLE: After the shower, is there anything left on your registry?! Do you feel prepared now?

Jana: I started to get worried when I looked at my registry the day before the shower because not much was purchased from there, but luckily we got the essentials. There are a few not-so-fun gifts like butt paste and diapers we haven’t gotten yet, but that’s an easy trip to Target or Babies ‘R’ Us! Honestly, we feel prepared because we got the majority of the big important things.

Jana Kramer baby shower

PEOPLE: How’s her nursery coming along?

Jana: The nursery is completely done! I’m so glad that we finished before the shower because we were able to show everyone. After the shower, my husband and I sat up there for an hour or so just looking at everything and letting it all really sink in.

Jana Kramer baby shower

PEOPLE: Just a few months left — now that you’re entering your third trimester, how are you feeling?

Jana: I can’t believe I’m already in the third trimester!!! Unfortunately, I’m one of the lucky pregnant ladies that is still sick at this stage. It has been a daily frustration, but the second our baby girl kicks me and moves inside my belly it’s all good! As long as she is growing and healthy, she can make me as sick as she wants. Maybe this just means she will pop out a princess and will sleep eight hours. Hahah. Wishful thinking, I know.

So Cute! See Carrie Underwood Get ‘Slobbery’ Baby Kisses from Son Isaiah

Rick Diamond/Getty

Take it from Carrie Underwood — the best way to wash away any “mom guilt” is with a healthy dose of slobbery baby kisses!

The country singer posted a video to her Facebook page on Monday in which her 8-month-old son Isaiah Michael repeatedly gives his mom some very wet but very sweet kisses as she cracks up.

“Baby kisses are the best things in the world…I’m so thankful for my sweet angel. He makes my life better in every way! #SoInLove #MomLife #Slobber,” Underwood, 32, captioned the video.

The Grammy winner recently spoke to PEOPLE about how she’s figuring out motherhood one step at a time.

“You feel guilty about every single thing, every decision you make, everything you do,” she says of raising Isaiah with NHL star Mike Fisher, her husband of five years.

But no matter how unprepared she felt for marriage and motherhood, Underwood is now head over heels in love with both roles — and both of her boys.

“I never dreamt of my wedding day and the perfect guy,” she said. “Then I met Mike, and I was like, ‘Wow, so now I know what I was missing.’ And the same with my son. I was never like, ‘I want kids so bad.’ And now that I have Isaiah in my life, I’m like, ‘What did I do before?’ ”
