By now, you probably heard Kirk Douglas died. You’ve also probably read a ton of eulogies about his past, so I’ll keep this short. For those of you too young to remember Kirk, he was the infamous Spartacus. The iconic character who gave birth to those “I am Spartacus” memes or whatever was the equivalent of memes before the 2000s. He also gave birth to Michael Douglas, the also famous actor who developed throat cancer because he ate too much pussy. So, one could argue Kirk Douglas was the fucking man. RIP, my dude. May the man upstairs bless you like John Travolta did at the Santa Barbara Film Festival.
Federal child sex trafficker and millionaire Jeffrey Epstein was found unresponsive in his cell early Saturday morning. He was transferred to New York Downtown hospital where he was pronounced dead. Epstein was also found unresponsive 3 weeks ago with marks on his neck. At the time, it was unclear whether he tried to kill himself or he was attacked. In either case, he was placed on suicide watch. Clearly, that phrase means something else to the prison guards. Maybe they thought it meant that they should watch him as he kills himself and slowly dies.
Epstein’s victims are unsurprisingly shocked and Attorney General William Barr is opening an investigation into his death.
If you’re into conspiracy theories, being that this case involved a lot of powerful people, Epstein’s death may not have been a suicide.

Luke Perry’s death sort of overshadowed the death of Prodigy’s Keith Flint, 49. Flint’s body was found on Monday at his home near London. Prodigy band mate said Flint had killed himself over the weekend.
The Prodigy was best known for the 90s hits “Firestarter”, “Breathe” and “Smack My Bitch Up”. Their music showcased techno and house at a time when R&B and altrock was dominating the charts. Personally, I never understood the allure of The Prodigy, mostly because of Flint’s hair which made him look like a dorky clown. It looked like he escaped from the psyche ward of a circus. But good for those that enjoyed his music and brushed off the cringyness.
By now you’ve heard of 54-year-old Indonesian Wa Tiba who was swallowed whole by a 23-foot reticulated python while checking on her corn.
A 100 person search started when she didn’t come home. That’s where they found the big ass snake with a swollen belly. Naturally, they killed the python and cut it open where they found Wa Tiba’s body still intact. And because your nightmares wouldn’t be complete with some visuals, here’s the video of them cutting the snake open.
Remind me to never go to Indonesia and if I do, remind me to just attach 2 machetes to my hands so when I flail uncontrollably like a girl when I’m being attacked by an assassin from the jungle, I might accidentally kill it. And not just with my girlish shrieking.

Swedish mega-producer Avicii, real name Tim Bergling, died at 28 today on 4/20. His publicist confirmed the news today saying, “He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.”
Avicii is probably best known for his hit Levels which catapulted him into the consciousness of everyone in the world and probably overshadowed most of his other hits as evidenced by the fact that, at every festival since its release, the guy next to you would shout-ask, “Is this Levels?!”
Even after switching styles to some new EDM-based country, Avicii still managed to produce a few hits. After 2016, Avicii officially retired from touring citing the psychological and physical toll of stardom. He also cited his health problems which included acute pancreatitis in part due to excessive drinking. In 2014, he had his gallbladder and appendix removed.
Swastika-headed Charles Manson, the cult leader who infamously orchestrated the deaths of 8-month pregnant Sharon Tate and others, has died.
In January, sources say Manson had been taken from prison to a hospital because he was seriously ill. Not just in the head this time. A California Department of Corrections of Rehabilitation spokesman said at the time they couldn’t divulge any information for “safety and security reasons.”
The California Department of Corrections released a statement reading, “Inmate Charles Manson, 83, died of natural causes at 8:13 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at a Kern County hospital.”
Manson died of natural causes which just shows how wacky the universe is.
Manson and his creepy murder-family killed Sharon Tate and six others over two nights in LA in August 1969. Tate was the wife of Roman Polanski who would later have his own trouble with the law (he raped a kid and fled the country).
Since being convicted, Manson, 82, had spent the past 45 years in prison. He’d been denied parole 12 times. His next chance for parole would have been in 2027 when he was 92.
Hugh Hefner, 91, founder of the iconic Playboy magazine and brand, died at his home Wednesday surrounded by loved ones. Hopefully he died like how he lived, with a raging erection surrounded by nude centerfolds.
Hefner not only founded Playboy in 1953, but soon put the Playboy Mansion on the map with his legendary parties. It’s been said that you haven’t partied until you contracted an STD in the grotto at the Mansion. Actually, people don’t say that. I just made that up. Anyway, those parties ended a few years ago after he sold the mansion last August.
Hefner is survived by four children and his 31-year-old Playboy model wife, Crystal Hefner. God bless this man for giving children everywhere a glimpse of tits at the grocery store.
Sad news from the set of AMC’s hit drama The Walking Dead as a stuntman tragically died filming a sequence for the upcoming eight season of the zombie thriller. John Bernecker was attempting a fall from a 22 foot high balcony and missed the safety cushion. Witness Matthew Goodman, an assistant director, said that Bernecker tried to grab hold of the balcony, realizing he was going to miss the cushion before he fell.
Austin Amelio, who plays Dwight, said that Bernecker was nervous about the jump and had never done a fall from that height before. Both the coroner and sheriff ruled the death accidental and have closed their investigations.
According to Deadline, OSHA and SAG-AFTRA have opened an investigation into how and why the stunt went wrong. OSHA, or The Occupational Safety and Health Administration, is a government agency in the Labor Department that ensures employers provide a safe workplace for employees, while SAG-AFTRA is the labor union that represents almost all screen, radio and voice over actors.
Bernecker was declared dead at 6:30 PM Wednesday at the Atlanta Medical Center. He was 33 years old. Production on season eight of The Walking Dead has temporarily shut down in the wake of the accident, believed to be the first fatal accident related to a stunt in nearly two decades.
With so many Game Of Thrones characters suffering brutal deaths, it's hard to imagine any of them will survive the dangers of Westeros!
Between the dragons, the White Walkers, and plenty of (literal) backstabbing, the HBO fantasy series has never been more perilous.
Some characters are better suited for survival than others -- whether they manage to stay alive with power, manipulation, seduction, or just hiding out until everything is over.
But how long would fans of the Emmy-winning series last if they actually lived in the cut-throat (again, literally) race to rule the Seven Kingdoms?
Well, by answering a few simple questions, you can find out -- whether it's getting decapitated right from the beginning or making it all the way to the Iron Throne!
Choose your weapons, skills, and allies wisely, and take our survival quiz (below) to get ready for Season 7 -- premiering on HBO tonight (July 16)!

Aw, shit, hookah. Nelsan Ellis, who played Lafayette Reynolds on HBO’s True Blood and most recently played Shinwell Johnson in a lead role on Elementary, died after complications from heart failure at the age of 39. There’s no news on what lead to the heart failure.
A statement released by HBO read, “We were extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Nelsan Ellis. Nelsan was a long-time member of the HBO family whose groundbreaking portrayal of Lafayette will be remembered fondly within the overall legacy of True Blood. Nelsan will be dearly missed by his fans and all of us at HBO.”
His True Blood co-stars are heartbroken to say the least.

It’s safe to say fans will always remember the flair Neslan brought to True Blood.
Former reality TV star Danny Dias – he was on Road Rules in 2004 – was found dead in his apartment in Brooklyn on Monday. Well, that’s according to one account. Another said he was found unresponsive in the same place on Saturday. Either way, he was discovered bereft of life, and it seems like it was a suicide.
Apparently, he had been with some friends on that Saturday. They supposedly took LSD and mushrooms. He then freaked out and raced into his room and his friends left him. They said they tried to contact him the next day and then investigated on Monday.
Now here’s the thing – he was allegedly tripping and ran into his room on Saturday… and no one checked on him until Monday? I feel for those rescue workers who broke into his place – if he’d been dead since Saturday… chances are good that he smelled, um… rank. Then again, I’m sure that this is nothing new for those workers.
Does it suck that a 30-ish guy (even his age isn’t certain… media had it at either 33 or 34) died? Yes. Still, there are plenty of people out there who have died from either suicide or drug overdoses and they don’t even get a blip on TMZ. We’re not talking about a Chris Cornell-level talent here. Dias was good at allowing cameras to be trained on him for 24 hours a day for a while. I don’t even remember the guy… which means reality TV is a lot like junk food. There’s not a whole lot memorable about it.
So… drugs are bad… mkay? Also, “friends” who don’t check on you immediately after a bad trip suck.
Suffering from complications during heart surgery, Bill Paxton suffered a fatal stroke and passed away. TMZ reports that the versatile actor died on Saturday.
Paxton acted on a multitude of shows and films including Aliens, Predator and Terminatoras well as Twister and Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Paxton also starred in one of my favorite thrillers Frailty alongside Matthew McConaughey.
Said Paxton’s family, “Bill’s passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable.”
And as an apology to Paxton, I’m sorry I kept getting you mixed up with Greg Kinnear. The fact that you are only one of two actors to have been killed onscreen by an Alien, a Predator and a Terminator should have seared into my consciousness.
Florence Henderson died Thanksgiving night at Cedars-Sinai hospital in LA surrounded by friends and family. She was 82.
Florence was best known for playing the plucky mom, Carol, on the Brady Bunch. Though that show was a complete piece of crap, Henderson always managed to be wonderful and likable while she spat out horrible lines.
Henderson appeared many times on Broadway previous to her TV work and was the first woman to guest host the Tonight Show. All of these accomplishments show her incredible charm, intelligence and talent and all are a thousand times better than the Brady Brunch.
A woman who maintained a thriving career for decades without sacrificing time for her family, Florence Henderson will be missed. Let’s use this as a reason to never show the Brady Bunch again.
