17 Characters Who Ruined Perfectly Good TV Shows

Event the best TV shows suffer from terrible characters sometimes.

And in one way or another, these 17 TV characters managed to ruin (or nearly ruin) shows that we otherwise loved.

Take a look below to see who they are!

1. Jo Wilson (Grey's Anatomy)

Jo wilson greys anatomy
Ugh. Grey's Anatomy has had its share of annoying characters, but Jo is pretty much the worst. Her character is not only whiny and unlikeable, but focus on her has taken away from characters we'd rather pay more attention to.

2. April Nardini (Gilmore Girls)

April nardini gilmore girls
The addition of April Nardini as Luke's daughter on GIlmore Girls was WEIRD, and it felt like a forced way to throw a wrench in Luke and Lorelai's relationship.

3. Stuart Bloom (The Big Bang Theory)

Stuart the big bang theory
There was nothing wrong with Stuart when he first appeared on The Big Bang Theory, but after a while, his presence just become depressing... and creepy.

4. Piper Chapman (Orange is the New Black)

Piper chapman orange is the new black
The thing about Piper is, we liked her at first. She's the lead character we followed into Litchfield, and we watched as she adjusted to life in prison. But after the first season? Ugh. She changed for the worse, and now her stories just take away from the rest of the cast.

5. Marissa Cooper (The O.C.)

Marissa the oc
Marissa Cooper was a problem for The O.C. from the very beginning. Even though she was unbearable to watch, other characters managed to keep us coming back.

6. Connor (Angel)

Connor angel
Things on Angel really took a turn when Angel and Darla's son Connor returned as a fully grown teenager, and not in a good way.

Kylie Jenner Promises To Do Less Of THIS In 2016!

Maybe she heard what Jennifer Lawrence said to that journalist

Recently, Kylie Jenner posted a video on her website entitled "My 2016 Resolutions" where she outlines her many goals for the new year.

The 18-year-old said :

"In 2015 we all kind of got disconnected… I really didn't appreciate my friends as much as I should, and they keep me grounded, and if I didn't have them I feel like I really wouldn't be myself."

In fact, her New Year's resolution is to stop looking at her phone so much!

The famous pouter added:

"I feel like I'm happier when I don't read comments, and I'm not on Instagram and I'm not focusing on what other people think about me. It makes me happier."

Multitalented James Franco Plays Both Joey and Rachel in New ‘Making a Scene’ Episode [WATCH]

At this point, I’ve come to the conclusion that there is little, if anything, James Franco cannot do. The multihyphenate personage has tackled so many feats in his lifetime, has worn so many hats, that truly, it was only a matter of time before he tried on the Rachel wig.

In the latest episode of Franco’s AOL webseries “Making a Scene,” Franco parodies “Friends,” playing the roles of both Joey and Rachel in what looks like a recreation of the show’s early days. Ross comes in with Marcel atop his shoulder; Rachel is still sporting her signature layered ‘do, and Chandler is small and shrunken in a short-sleeve button-up with vertical stripes, looking like the “Friends” costume department had been raided.

This latest episode sees the six friends lounging at Central Perk—where else? Ross comes in during a rousing rendition of “Smelly Cat” and asks everyone be serious…this is an intervention.

Rachel (James Franco) assures Ross that they’ll “be there for him” and when Ross returns, he’s sporting a monkey, Marcel, who is in dire need of an intervention.

That’s where the trailer ends. The rest of the episode can be watched here, if you’re so willing.

The effect is the same as every single one of Franco’s other projects: the feeling that you still have no idea whether he’s certifiably insane or an unmitigated genius. What’s for sure is that he wears the Rachel just as well as Jennifer Aniston did in 1995.

Hands Up! Jerry Seinfeld’s Son’s Charity Lemonade Stand Was Busted By The Cops!

When life gives you lemons…

HIDE THEM because the fuzz will take you down!

Such was the case with Jerry Seinfeld and his kids!

[ Related: Jerry Seinfeld Meets The President Of Crackle! ]

Last week, the comedian, his son Julian, and two of his friends set up a lemonade stand in East Hampton, New York to raise money for Jessica Seinfeld's charity, Baby Buggy!

In case you didn't know, the organization was founded in 2001 and provides items such as strollers, children's clothing, and cribs to families in need!

However, the cops were NOT in a charitable mood!

Apparently, local neighbors called and complained about illegally parked cars near the event.

When authorities arrived, they deemed the refreshment booth was NOT legal as the funny family didn't have the right permits!

What?!

Miz Seinfeld took the above photo of her and her men playfully getting arrested with the caption:

"Lemonade dreams crushed by local neighbor but not before raising lots of money for @loverecycled. Thanks to all of our customers and big tippers!... thanks Xander and Jaden for crushing it today with Julian and Jerry."

After hearing about the story, residents and fans alike were absolutely OUTRAGED!

Twitter user @djpurfiya wrote:

"No lemonade for you! Smh You would think there are more important things to worry about then kids selling lemonade. I don't wanna live in a country where kids cannot sell lemonade! It goes against core values!"

Oh well!

While it sucks their citrus crusade was cut short, we're so glad Baby Buggy raised a lot of money!

This Crazy ‘Friends’ Theory Will Terrify You

rantchic.com

By this time, we know Friends pretty much like the backs of our hands. We’ve got it memorized, every scene, every line, every terrible joke Chandler ever made. We watched the show when it first aired, we watched the re-runs for something like ten years, and then we binge-watched it for the first time when it gloriously entered our Netflix universe.

But we never saw this one coming. Nope, a twisted mind made this one up.

This crazy theory was concocted by a fan who has a very generous imagination. According to Twitter user Xenophon Moscrop, the whole show could be considered complete fantasy, imagined totally by one of our most-loved characters, Phoebe Buffay herself.

Read the theory that Moscrop posted to Twitter a couple days ago:

My proposal for how hit 90s TV sitcom Friends should have ended. pic.twitter.com/S7D3j2E3z5

— Xenophon Moscrop (@strnks) August 24, 2015

I apologize if this theory gave you chills. If you think about it, it does sort of make sense. After all, Phoebe has always said that she’s the outsider of the group. As Rachel once said, “You lift right out!” And don’t we all know how harrowing Phoebe’s past life was? She lived on the streets from the age of 14, and had a mother kill herself and a stepfather put in prison. She definitely has crazy antics, so it’s not a stretch to think that Phoebe, kind-hearted as she is, could have dreamed up the whole show just because she wanted friends.

How very sad. I have to say, this is the worst fan theory I’ve ever read, and in this wide weird world of Internet, that’s saying a lot. Say it ain’t so!

7 Iconic TV Homes We Wished We Lived In

They say home is where the heart is. Well, my heart belongs in about 10 different homes around the world. There’s a piece of my heart in the sprawling mansion where Regina George faithfully conceived the infamous burn book. There’s also a part of my heart all the way in Don Draper’s mod ’60s New York apartment, and even within the prestigious walls of Downton Abbey. I’ve watched these homes and the people within them, often dreaming of what it’d be like to walk down the steps of Carrie Bradshaw’s New York City apartment building, or chilling on the porch drinking iced tea at the Gilmore Girls home.

In case you haven’t heard, one of our favorite fictional houses just went on the market, and you can live out your fictional home dreams in reality — well, you can purchase the home of Regina George for a cool $14.8 million. So fetch.

While the price is slightly steep for the majority of us, we can always continue to dream about our favorite TV homes:

1. Monica Geller & Rachel Green’s apartment in Friends

While the periwinkle walls may be a little dated in 2015, they are totally iconic. Who knew a wall color could trigger so many memories of a beloved TV show that still manages to entertain us 11 years after its cancellation? The Manhattan apartment located in Greenwich Village has always been coveted by many, and was home to some of the best television moments of all time. When Chandler proposed to Monica, when Ross and Rachel first broke up, and so many more heartbreaking and heartwarming moments, all happened within those purple walls.

2. Carrie Bradshaw’s apartment in Sex & The City

Living in a New York City apartment on the Upper East Side while being a freelance writer was just one of the many aspects that made being Carrie Bradshaw the ultimate dream. From her walk-in closet filled with Chanel and Christian Louboutin, to the beautiful brownstone exterior, Carrie’s home solidified that she was the ultimate New York gal, with the home to match. It’s no problem that writing a weekly column in the fictional equivalent of the Daily News was, in reality, never going to pay for all those Manolos! This was the dream!

3. The Cohens’ mansion in The O.C.

To live by the beach, be rich, and have my own pool house, which I can rent to a mysterious, hot guy if I want to? Sounds ideal.

4. Lorelai and Rory Gilmore’s house in Gilmore Girls

There’s something so quaint and homely about the Gilmore household that makes it endearing. From the mismatching decor to the small-town vibe, it would be nice to experience the cozy Gilmore lifestyle — well maybe for a couple of weeks.

5. Don Draper’s apartment in Mad Men

The ’60s mod vibe of Don Draper’s apartment is probably the most fashionable of them all. Located in New York’s Upper East Side, the apartment featured funky green curtains, built-in shelves and a spectacular view of NYC. These elements, alongside the fabulous ’60s decor, would make living in [...]

What I Wish I Knew Before Starting College

huffingtonpost.com

Everyone thinks they know what to expect when they start college: everything is so new, and so exciting. But often, the reality is much different, and with no preparation besides everyone in your life telling you that “college were the best years of my life,” sometimes you don’t know what to expect. Here’s what I wish I knew before starting college.

Internships are your ticket to jobs

Starting as early as sophomore year, start interning, and don’t stop until you’ve graduated. Interning a lot gives you so many advantages. One major advantage is work experience — you’ll gain hands-on knowledge about the industry you’ll purportedly enter post graduation, so you’ll find out if you can actually stand it or not. When I worked as an intern in a few offices during my tenure as a student, I was able to rule out a couple of industries, and eventually, figure out where I actually wanted to work.

Interning also makes connections, i.e. people who know you and whom you can harass for a job later in life. Bonus points if you find an internship you love and manage to keep that internship past one semester. That company will begin to rely on you heavily during that year or perhaps even longer, making you eventually indispensable to the running of their business. Why hire an outsider when you already know everything, and do it all so well?

I know some people who never bothered with internships, and their success rate at applying to jobs is close to nil. Internships > classes. It’s the difficult truth.

Sometimes you’ll have to sacrifice frivolity

There’s an enticing stereotype about college — that it’s nothing but one long party. And unfortunately, unless you go to a crazy party school and you’ve somehow managed to memorize your course books on day one, being in college means a lot of nights spent doing absolutely nothing except studying. No student, no matter their major, is exempt from reading long, difficult texts. Going to a liberal arts school especially means taking core classes you will hate, but that you’ll have to pass in order to keep your GPA, your scholarship, or even your status as student.

Being in college means being an adult (up to a point) and you’ll have to learn quickly how to manage work and play.

Then again…

Go to every party and event that you can

You know what I’m going to say here, don’t you? You only live once. College passes by in a blur of frenzied activity, so know when to push yourself to go out, and when you think it’s best to stay in with Chaucer. It’s a difficult choice to make, but becoming a part of campus life means making memories that will last forever.

You may end up hating everyone

By the end of my college career, I felt similarly to the way I felt at the end of high school: totally and completely done with it, and eager to start a new life. While I had some very close, very good [...]

Jennifer Aniston Cheated on Brad Pitt With Matt LeBlanc, Source Claims

It's been over a decade since Brad Pitt left Jennifer Aniston, but still, the relationship remains an endless source of sordid gossip.

It's a well-known fact that Pitt cheated on Aniston with future wife Angelina Jolie. In the years since, Aniston has become a sort poster girl for jilted lovers.

But until recently, few considered the possibility that Pitt wasn't the only getting a bit too friendly with his co-stars.

Matt LeBlanc Photo
Jennifer Aniston at Santa Barbara International Film Festival

Aniston and Matt LeBlanc worked together for 10 seasons on Friends, and now LeBlanc's estranged father is claiming that the two of them were more than just, er...friends.

"He got on very good with Jennifer Aniston," Paul LeBlanc claimed in a recent interview with Radar Online. "They had a relationship...They would make out in the dressing rooms when she was married to Brad Pitt."

Reps for Aniston have already denied the rumors.

The elder LeBlanc didn't get into detail with regard to the seriousness of Aniston and LeBlanc's relationship, but he did share some other juicy secrets from the set of the iconic sitcom.

Apparently, LeBlanc found co-star Matthew Perry to be smug and obnoxious (Could he BE any more annoying?), and he regarded David Schwimmer as a colossal bore (news that should surprise exactly no one.)

Paul went on to describe his son as a "wild and reckless" egomaniac who "drinks like a fish."

"He's not that 'Joey' that everyone loves," LeBlanc says. "On TV he's a loving man, but on reality he's not."

Ouch. We're guessing Matt will not be there for his dad when the rain starts to pour.

Things That Happen When Your Friends Are All Older Than You

I don’t know about you, but most of my friends are either older than me by several years, or much more mature than I am. This means that even though I’m still in my early twenties, I constantly feel and act like I’m pushing 30. The horror!

When your friend group is filled with people who are older than you, you get used to feeling like you’re older, like you have to worry about retirement and all that. I’m giving myself three more years before I even think about retirement, but there are also, more subtle ways that being friends with older people changes your life.

They’re all having kids

This is weird. But it’s also awesome, because you get to play with cutie, baby kids without any of the responsibility. You also get to see what it’s like to have kids and how it completely changes your outlook and the way you live your life. It’s like taking a teeny peek into a potential future.

Plus, these kids are the most fun to spoil and play with, and at the end of the day you can hand them back to mommy and make them clean the spit-up.

Going to bed at 11 p.m. on a Friday is SOP for them, and thus, sometimes for you

So I guess you need more sleep when you get older? Older people who are married and have normal work schedules and such (not I) are dead tired on Friday nights. So while I’m texting everyone like “LET’S TURN UP ON A FRIYAY” they’re all like, “Wine and bed. That’s all I can do tonight.” So what to do? Wine and bed it is, in your own home. Womp.

You spend a lot of money on being in weddings

Being a bridesmaid costs a small fortune. I could fund the governments of several third-world countries with the money I spent on my sisters’ weddings, and it’s not over yet. Also—bachelorette parties will empty your savings account.

The slight generation difference means they watched shows/listened to music that you had no idea existed

When my sisters and older friends talk about Jem and Fraggle Rock I’m all, “but what about Barney?” Barney was soooo your generation, they say. Apparently, three to five years is a pretty big culture gap.

You constantly learn from their life experiences and/or mistakes

Having friends older than you means you have no shortage of good and bad examples of what to do. Looking for an apartment, filing taxes, choosing a job, and all those annoying things are made just slightly easier when someone else has done them before you. You have so many people to ask for advice and you definitely learn from their missteps and bad calls.

They baby you

And not always in a cute way. It can get pretty condescending, because they assume you’re the baby and inexperienced (which is true, in a way) and so they’re all like, “Psshhh, what do you know about that?” and “In my day…” all jokingly. It’s not always appreciated.

You can hang, but often they [...]

10 Famous ‘Friends’ Guest Stars You May Have Forgotten About

Photo via Facebook

Friends has been called one of the best comedy TV shows of all time and its syndication continues on multiple channels, including the recent ability to stream it on Netflix.

As a result, many people have gone back to watch old episodes and might have caught things that they didn’t notice the first time or recognized a famous actor as a guest star that they did not know about before.

After 10 seasons on the show, the series provided plenty of time to display a wide array of guest stars for different types of roles including screen legends and others who became famous after their time on Friends.

Here is a list of 10 of the memorable famous guest stars that appeared on Friends:

Bruce Willis

During his multiple-episode arc on the series, Bruce Willis played the character Paul Stevens during season 6. His character created all sorts of trouble on the show as the father of Ross’ young girlfriend. After that, met Rachel and started to date her, which obviously created quite the tension between the two, including double dates where Ross had to watch him kissing Rachel.

Reese Witherspoon

In one of the great guest starring roles on the show, Reese Witherspoon played a sister of Rachel’s. She appeared in 2 episodes of season 6 and even took a romantic interest in Ross. This, of course, didn’t work out too well for the two of them since everyone knows you don’t date your sister’s love ex’s. She was funny on the show and the appearance came years before any of her Oscar nominations.

Adam Goldberg

He might be one of least known to the public of the best famous guest stars, but his part on the show was definitely one of the best. Adam Goldberg is primarily known for his independent films and appeared as Chandler’s annoying roommate Eddie for a brief time during season 2. It was during a time when Chandler and Joey were fighting and Joey was forced to move out, appearing in 3 episodes and even refusing to move out, despite not getting along with Chandler.

Jon Lovitz

One of the earliest of the big guest stars to appear on the show, Jon Lovitz was only in one episode and appeared briefly as a restaurant owner who might hire Monica as the new chef at his restaurant. She was having a trial run of cooking for him when he came to the apartment, and as Phoebe pointed out when he walked in, he was clearly high, which made for a few hilarious scenes with the comedy legend. He also appeared in one episode in season 9 when going on a date with Rachel.

Billy Crystal And Robin Williams

The two comedy legends had a brief time on the show like some others, but certainly made the most of it. Billy Crystal and the late great Robin Williams appeared in a season 3 episode called “The One With The Ultimate Fighting Champion.” They joined a crowded Central Perk couch and continued to talk over the Friends [...]

Jake Gyllenhaal Sounds Like A Taken Man! Actor And Broadway Co-Star Ruth Wilson Seen Locking Lips In NYC!

New couple alert! We repeat, new couple alert!

As we reported, Jake Gyllenhaal and his Broadway co-star Ruth Wilson have been the subject of romance rumors ever since the two were reportedly seen in December smooching at a restaurant in NYC.

[ Related: Jake Gyllenhaal Is Shirtless And Jacked! ]

The 34-year-old actor and the 33-year-old actress both starred in the romantic play Constellations where critics instantly recognized their intense on-stage chemistry!

Well, it looks like art is imitating life and the two are apparently an item!

On Saturday, eyewitnesses saw the photogenic couple at the 10:20 a.m. class at Barry's Bootcamp in NYC getting their sweat on!

According to a source:

"After the class, Jake lingered by the lobby area while he waited for her to shower and change… Ruth and Jake left separately, but while he waited, he was chatting with the people she ended up leaving with. It's clear they have mutual friends. Jake was also very friendly to other people just coming out of the class. No diva behavior at all."

However, before they said au revoir, they just couldn't help but suck face!

"When Ruth came out, they kissed each other goodbye before parting ways. It was more than a peck on the lips between friends. This was a kiss that said, 'We're Dating.'"

All those endorphins must've made them feel pretty sexy!

We've also heard whispers that Mr. Gyllenhaal has already referred to The Affair star as his girlfriend! Oh la la!

We totally support Jake and Ruth as a couple! Get it, you two!
