Way back in January of 2017, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard finalized their divorce by signing a non-disclosure agreement that prevented either side from talking about the split publicly.
One of the goals of the agreement was to prevent messy court battles over statements made to the press.
It seems the plan backfired in spectacular fashion, however, as Depp is currently suing Heard for $50 million, alleging that she violated the agreement by writing a Washington Post op-ed about her experiences as an abuse victim.
Heard never referred to Depp by name, but given the high profile nature of their brief marriage and ugly divorce, there was little doubt whom she was talking about.
Thus far, the court battle has been a nightmare for both parties, as new allegations of appalling behavior have been hurled in both directions.
In written statements, Heard has called Depp an alcoholic "monster" who repeatedly assaulted her and tried to have her blacklisted in Hollywood following their divorce.
Depp has countered by accusing Heard of painting bruises on her face and body in order to frame him for divorce.
He claims that Heard tried to cut off his finger during one of the then-couple's infamous 2015 meltdown in Australia.
This week, in an amended filing, Depp made a new claim about that ugly altercation, claiming that when he tried to distance himself from Heard, the actress shoved a lit cigarette in his face.
According to documents obtained by The Blast, Depp claims that Heard flew "into a rage" after she learned of his "intention to enter into a post-nuptial agreement."
Depp claims that at that point he had not had a drink in over a year, but retreated to a basement bar in the residence where the couple was staying in order to avoid Heard.
"She followed him, screaming at him abusively," Depp's legal team writes.
The filing goes on to claim that Heard became further enraged when she encountered Depp drinking vodka.
At that point, she began hurling bottles.
One of them shattered, resulting in Depp's infamous severed finger.
Allegedly not content with the damage she had done "Ms. Heard then put a cigarette out on [Depp's] right cheek," claims Johnny's legal team.
Heard's lawyers have already fired back in a statement denying the accusation.
“This allegation is absurd, offensive and categorically untrue,” the attorneys write.
“This photograph proves nothing - apart from the fact that Johnny Depp is desperate to throw out any outlandish allegation to deflect attention from his physical and ongoing psychological abuse of Amber Heard.”
While it's unclear how this latest allegation will be received by the judge, Depp's legal team already scored a minor victory this week.
The actor's lawyers have been arguing that since Heard's piece was published in D.C., the trial should take place in nearby Virginia, and not in California, as Heard's attorneys wanted.
We'll continue to keep you updated on this developing story as more information becomes available.
This Johnny Depp and Amber Heard story has been months and months of he said, she said but he probably said the truth because who cuts off their own finger and doesn’t know the difference between human shit and shit from a tiny purse dog? Nobody, that’s who, and your story doesn’t add up.
Now we’re going to hear from someone else on what happened. I mean, we have heard from a bunch of people but none of them are famous so who cares. That’s right, Depp’s lawyers have subpoenaed James Franco, who was on video obtained by The Blast with Heard less than a day after her fight with Depp where he allegedly beat her up and she allegedly faked her injuries with makeup.
Interestingly, the two stars seem to know there is a camera in the elevator (and its location) as they don’t allow for their faces to been seen clearly during the ride.
At one point, Heard is seen moving backward towards Franco, keeping her face away from the camera, and moves in close as she appears to be speaking with him while he keeps his head down.
That’s sketchy as hell to me. So Depp’s lawyers want Franco to testify about what he saw and heard from Heard on the night in question.
Depp’s attorney, Adam Waldman tells The Blast, “We are interested in James Franco and Elon Musk as fact witnesses because we have evidence they are men who saw Amber Heard’s face in the days and nights between when she claimed Mr. Depp smashed her in the face on May 21 and when she went to court with painted on ‘bruises’ to obtain a Temporary Restraining Order on May 27.”
Heard’s lawyers claim it’ a coincidence and Heard and Franco just happened to live in the same building.
Heard’s lawyer, Eric George, tells The Blast, “This bogus story is just another lame attempt by Johnny Depp and his team to spread deliberately misleading information through the media so that he can continue to attack and abuse his ex-wife.”
George continues, “Amber Heard and James Franco once lived in the same apartment complex and were simply taking an elevator at the same time. Period.”
Finally, someone famous can tell us what to think so that we don’t have to think for ourselves.

For obvious reasons, it's pretty uncommon for A-list celebrities to be thrown in prison.
The justice system tends to look pretty favorably on the wealthy and well-connected, and if worse comes to worst, you can always just hire a fall guy.
Still, when there's even a remote possibility that a major star will get tossed in the clink we like to imagine how they would cope with life on the cell block.
And in the case of Johnny Depp, we think the obvious answer is not very well at all!
Sure, Depp's played some major badasses over the course of his career, and he gets bonus points for being covered in tattoos.
But turning over his many man-bracelets at the front gate would probably leave him with tear-streaked guyliner, and that's just not a good look on day one.
But we're getting ahead of ourselves here.
Why is it -- you ask -- that there's a remote chance Johnny might end up rocking a county orange jumpsuit?
Well, like every tabloid scandal in his life over the past three years, it all has to do with his messy marriage to Amber Heard.
It's been over two years since Depp and Heard finalized their divorce, but a recent lawsuit -- filed by Johnny, ironically -- has the ex-couple back in front of a judge.
And now, Heard's lawyers are alleging that Depp committed perjury when in his initial filing.
Depp is suing Heard for $50 million in connection with a piece she wrote for the Washington Post in which she described herself as an abuse victim.
According to Johnny, Amber's article violated their non-disclosure agreement -- and now he wants her to pay.
Unfortunately, the legal action backfired in spectacular fashion, as court proceedings have resulted in one embarrassing revelation after another for the actor.
Sure, the allegations have gone both ways. but the ones Heard has lobbed at Depp -- including a story in which he became so jealous of James Franco that he flew into a violent rage -- have been the most humiliating.
And Amber's latest accusation could have serious legal consequences.
According to newly-filed documents obtained by The Blast, Depp “clearly perjured himself claiming that there was only one 911 call reporting his abuse on the evening of May 21, 2016."
Heard's attorneys say Depp made the claim knowing full well that Amber's friend iO Tillet Wright made multiple 911 calls the night of the alleged attack.
"Readily obtainable public records of LAPD call logs from that evening show that iO Tillet Wright called 911 at 8:30 PM to report Mr. Depp’s violent and destructive behavior that evening, confirming the eyewitness accounts of how iO heard that Mr. Depp was becoming violent toward Ms. Heard over the phone and then called 911," their filing reads.
Now, people go to jail for perjury all the time.
But very few of those people have anchored multi-billion dollar Disney franchises.
So Depp probably won't be getting locked up -- but this isn't great news for his already-battered reputation.
How many crimes does this guy have to commit to research his role as Grindelwald? Yeesh!
The more Johnny Depp talks about his relationship with Amber Heard, the worse I feel for him. And the latest round of court documents obtained by The Blast is a real doozy.
“I have denied Ms. Heard’s allegations vehemently since she first made them in May 2016,” Depp begins, “when she walked into court to obtain a temporary restraining order with painted-on bruises that witnesses and surveillance footage show she did not possess each day of the preceding week. I will continue to deny them for the rest of my life. I never abused Ms. Heard or any other woman.”
I mean, that sounds far-fetched. What kind of person would paint on bruises and go to the police like that?
He explains, “After I removed myself from Ms. Heard’s presence in the penthouse on April 21, 2016, the following morning Ms. Heard or one of her friends defecated in my bed as some sort of a sick prank before they left for Coachella together.”
Depp claims that Heard admitted to their estate manager “that the feces was ‘just a harmless prank.’”
That incident, Depp says, is what led him to seek a divorce from Heard.
Yeah, more about the shitting in the bed thing. That is so crazy, what kind of person does that?
“She went berserk and began throwing bottles at me,” Depp claimed. “The first bottle sailed past my head and missed, but then she threw a large glass vodka bottle.”
The actor said the bottle hit the countertop where he had his hand and caused his finger to shatter, ultimately severing his fingertip.
“I had to have 3 surgeries to reconstruct my finger and contracted MRSA three time,” he claimed. “I feared that I would lose my finger, my arm and my life.”
I mean, that does sound more likely.
We really don’t know for sure who is telling the truth and we probably never will, but I will say this; one of these people has a history of abusive behavior and dating Elon Musk and one doesn’t, so who looks more credible?
The post Johnny Depp Details Amber Heard’s Alleged Abuse, Claims She “Painted On” Bruises appeared first on The Blemish.
Throughout his decades as one of the biggest movie stars in the world, Johnny Depp has been praised for his chameleon-like ability to completely transform himself from one role to the next.
Now, for his final act, Depp has apparently decided to morph from beloved screen idol into broke-ass self-saboteur who may or may not be guilty of viciously bullying the ex-wife he allegedly abused.
Let's back it up a bit to examine how Johnny managed to slice and dice his own public image like Edward Scissorhands with a bad case of the shakes from drinking $30,000 worth of wine a month.
When Depp and Amber Heard finalized their divorce, they signed an iron-clad non-disclosure agreement that prevented either of them from speaking about the split publicly.
Johnny went and screwed that up by filing a series of lawsuits that required the courts to dredge up all the nasty allegations against him.
Most recently, he sued Heard for $50 million for discussing her experiences as an abuse survivor in a recent Washington Post op-ed.
His lawyers came out swinging and alleged that Heard tried to cut Depp's finger off during one particularly nasty fight.
Amber's team fired back with both barrels, leveling allegations both horrific (repeated tales of physical abuse directed at Heard) and hilarious (they claim Depp was so jealous of James Franco that he threw a tantrum for an entire cross-country flight).
In addition to his battle against Heard, Depp is still suing his former lawyer Jake Bloom because -- get this -- Bloom advised Depp to settle with Heard out of court, as a messy court battle would do irreparable damage to his career.
Apparently, when you're rich enough, you can actually sue people for being right.
Anyway, that case has also yielded a ton of messy revelations, including an account of Depp attempting to get Heard fired from her role in Aquaman.
In her Washington Post piece, Heard claimed that she had been "blacklisted" in Hollywood following her split from Depp:
"A movie I was attached to recast my role. I had just shot a two-year campaign as the face of a global fashion brand, and the company dropped me," she wrote.
"Questions arose as to whether I would be able to keep my role of Mera in the movies “Justice League” and “Aquaman.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, lawyers for Bloom intend to prove that Depp was behind that vicious campaign:
"Sources familiar with the deposition requests say [Warner Bros. chairman Kevin] Tsujihara will be asked to testify under oath about whether or not he played a role in “blacklisting” Heard at Warner Bros.," the outlet reports.
"Depp, a star in the studio’s Fantastic Beasts franchise (he plays Grindelwald), is alleged to have personally lobbied Tsujihara to remove the actress from Aquaman and block her from getting other projects."
Yes, Bloom plans to get the former president of Warner Bros. -- who was himself disgraced in a recent, Wenistein-esque "casting couch" scandal -- to verify that Depp tried to destroy Heard's career.
And because we live in supremely f--ked up times, that might actually do more damage to Depp's career than the allegations that he's an abusive monster.
You can smack around all the actresses you want, but the moment you start messing with studio exec's and their precious reputations, you're going down, pal!
When Johnny Depp and Amber Heard finalized their divorce back in 2017, they both signed non-disclosure agreements that prevented them from speaking about their brief marriage in interviews.
But now, a series of increasingly ugly lawsuits have put their split back in the tabloid headlines, and the financially-troubled Depp stands to lose a lot more than just another chunk of his fading fortune.
The latest suit has Depp suing Heard for $50 million, alleging that she violated their NDA by referencing abuse she allegedly suffered at his hands in an op-ed piece she recently wrote for the Washington Post.
The suit has seen both parties hurl shocking accusations at the other.
At one point, Depp claimed that Heard tried to cut off his finger during a fight and very nearly succeeded.
Heard countered that Depp is an alcoholic "monster" who frequently subjected her to violent abuse during his jealous rages.
With $50 million on the line, it may seem that Amber has far more to lose in this situation than Johnny.
But even if he ends up victorious in the end, the court case and all its damaging revelation may prove even more costly to Depp.
That's because Warner Bros. executives are reportedly considering firing the actor from his role as Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts series as a direct result of his current lawsuit.
“Executives at Warner Bros. are wondering how to deal with the backlash of the Depp matter on the Harry Potter franchise,” a source close to the situation tells Page Six.
“High-level female execs at the studio are extremely worried about working with Depp and the message it sends to the public, especially after the recent sordid departure of CEO Kevin Tsujihara."
Tsujihara recently left Warner Bros. amid allegations of inappropriate conduct directed at female employees.
“This is yet another blow to the morale of female employees at the studio,” the insider claims.
“If Warner Bros. continues to stick by Depp, it would reveal a lot about the values the company holds.”
Several conflicted employees reportedly place some of the blame on J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series who came out in defense of the decision to cast Depp as Grindelwald.
“Many at Warner Bros. wish that Rowling hadn’t come out so strongly behind Depp, because having made her opinion so public boxes them into a corner,” says the informant.
It seems the decision on how to handle the Depp situation has not yet been reached, but insiders expect Warner to cut ties with the actor soon.
And astonishingly, Rowling isn't the only billionaire who's been dragged into the battle between Depp and Heard.
Page Six also reports that Heard's former boyfriend Elon Musk has been subpoenaed by Johnny's legal team.
Expect this situation to get much worse before it gets better.
The more information we get about Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, the more it sounds like we all owe Johnny Depp an apology. It’s always hard to say anything definitive, but it’s looking much more like Johnny Depp was the victim of domestic abuse and Heard was the abuser, which fits with the fact that she was arrested for domestic abuse in a previous relationship and he’s never been accused of abuse by any partner other than Heard.
Here’s our basic timeline of events; Amber Heard was arrested for domestic abuse against Tasya van Ree, then she married Johnny Depp, then she took a shit in his bed, then she accused him of domestic violence during their divorce during which she asked for $50k a month alimony and sold photos allegedly showing her having been abused to People.
So why is this suddenly back in the news? Well, The Blast published a photo of Johnny Depp with a black eye, allegedly given to him by Heard.

I’m not entirely sure Depp is entirely innocent here, he did take a swing at that location scout. But like I said before, if a human being takes a shit in your bed and all you do is throw your phone at them, that’s you showing an incredible amount of restraint.
But really, we all should have at least been wary of making the face of domestic violence victims someone with a documented history of committing domestic abuse.
Johnny Depp has just taken his feud with ex-wife Amber Heard to an entirely new level.
Monetarily speaking, at least, that is.
According to multiple outlets, the veteran actor has filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against Heard, alleging that her accusations of abuse against him have harmed his reputation.
In court papers obtained by The Blast, Depp says that Heard’s “false allegations” are nothing but “an elaborate hoax to generate positive publicity” for her and to “advance her career.”
The lawsuit specifically cites a December 2018 Washington Post op-ed that Heard wrote on this topic
“Ms. Heard purported to write from the perspective of ‘a public figure representing domestic abuse’ and claimed that she ‘felt the full force of our culture’s wrath for women who speak out’ when she ‘spoke up against sexual violence,’” the court documents state.
To be clear, Heard never actually mentioned Depp by name in this piece.
However, the lawsuit says the op-ed was dependent "on the central premise that Ms. Heard was a domestic abuse victim and that Mr. Depp perpetrated domestic violence against her."
The lawsuit goes on to say that Heard's op-ed cost Depp his job as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
Depp and Heard got divorced in 2016 after just 15 months as husband and wife.
Shortly afterward, Heard's accusations of domestic violence went public, with portions of a deposition Heard gave years ago making the viral rounds just a few months ago.
"Johnny and I refer to his other personality, the part of him that is present when he beats me up," Amber said in this revealing interview. "We call that the monster. And have called [that] the monster for years."
The deposition is 471 pages in length.
At one point in it, Heard says of Depp: "I was petrified of the monster."
The actress went on to detail how Depp hurled a phone at her face in the pasts and how he has grabbed and pulled her by the hair.
However, Depp has alleged the opposite; he has said that Heard actually abused him, writing in this new lawuit:
"Ms. Heard is not a victim of domestic abuse, she is a perpetrator."
He claims he had to have his finger surgically re-attached after Heard allegedly threw a vodka bottle at him, for example.
In these just-filed court papers, Depp's legal team writes that "87 newly obtained surveillance camera videos" help to "conclusively refute" the abuse allegations.
Earlier this year, the Golden Globe winner submitted new information in a separate defamation lawsuit against The Sun.
He took the newspaper to task for running with the rumor that he asssaulted Heard on numerous occasions.
“Mr. Depp filed new and previously unseen evidence with the U.K. court, including security camera video clips of Ms. Heard’s face in the days following her false beating claims, sworn depositions taken in 2016 from neighbors, eyewitnesses and building personnel who interacted with Ms. Heard in the ensuing days, and more,” attorney Adam Waldman told Us Weekly on January 22.
This is all a very ugly and sad situation.
In a statement from Heard's representative in response to the $50 million defamation suit, the actress says;
"This frivolous action is just the latest of Johnny Depp’s repeated efforts to silence Amber Heard. She will not be silenced.
"Mr. Depp’s actions prove he is unable to accept the truth of his ongoing abusive behaviour.
"But while he appears hell-bent on achieving self destruction, we will prevail in defeating this groundless lawsuit and ending the continued vile harassment of my client by Mr. Depp and his legal team."
Depp, it should be noted, is in serious debt.
The ugly divorce between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard was settled long ago, but the brutal abuse allegations still weigh on the minds of fans.
Now, new and lengthy court documents have come to light from their 2016 depositions.
These papers shed new light on Amber and Depp's claims.
The Hollywood Reporter got a hold of some transcripts from Amber Heard's 2016 deposition.
2016 was when Amber and Johnny divorced, and when the world learned of Depp's years of alleged domestic violence.
Though the accusations became public, along with upsetting testimony from eyewitnesses, much was kept under wraps during the divorce.
Amber and Depp compromised by releasing a joint statement, affirming that neither of them intended to hurt the other, and that neither of them lied.
Even when text messages surfaced appearing to show that Depp's team knew about the alleged abuse, the exes largely moved on.
But now, through these court documents, we know more.
"Johnny and I refer to his other personality, the part of him that is present when he beats me up," Amber said in her 2016 deposition.
"We call that the monster," Amber revealed. "And have called [that] the monster for years."
The total length of the deposition was 471 pages.
Amber admitted: "I was petrified of the monster."
Within the deposition, Amber recalls an incident in which Depp, then her husband, allegedly attacked her.
She describes him hurling her phone at her "as hard as he could," striking her in the face.
Amber says that he grabbed her by her hair during this alleged explosion of violence, prompting her to scream out for help.
She recalled that, during the incident, Depp "broke a lot of glass things that left glass on the floor."
In addition to the shards of glass, she described the room being littered with silver candlesticks and a lamp.
Though this is far from the first story of Depp trashing a room, this story is far more alarming.
Amber Heard's testimony is not the only voice within the deposition.
There was testimony from the Los Angeles Police Department officers who responded to the incident.
Raquel Pennington, Amber's close friend, revealed in testimony that she had been in the adjacent apartment.
She testified that she had come to Amber's penthouse at her request, where Amber told her that she had been hit in the face with a phone.
Raquel testifies to having witnessed Depp swing around a bottle and knock items off of countertops, and to have heard him yelling.
She says that it was only Depp's security's arrival that diffused the situation, as they convinced him to leave.
She also says that she had taken "dozens" of photos of Amber's bruises over the years.
As you may recall, there was a great deal of backlash over Johnny Depp's casting in The Crimes of Grindelwald.
So much so that some lifelong Harry Potter fans boycotted the film, and some took to calling it "The Crimes of Johnny Depp."
Depp was clearly and openly frustrated that people insisted upon bringing up the serious accusations of domestic violence against him.
Some believe that this is why, in September of 2018, Johnny Depp suddenly made accusations of his own against his ex-wife.
He claimed that Amber had punched him in the face, twice.
Within the 2016 deposition, Amber was asked if she had ever been violent towards Depp.
In 2016, when Amber Heard was asked if she had ever struck, slapped, or thrown an object at Depp, she answered.
She said that she "did her best" to defend herself against her larger, stronger husband during his alleged violent outbursts.
Domestic violence, particularly during a divorce, can be a complicated issue.
Some victims may defend themselves. Some abusers may accuse their victims of having started it all.
With celebrities, waters are further muddied simply because one star's fans may be more outspoken than another's.
As any of us who've viewed any comments sections have discovered to our chagrin, Depp retains many fans who are his ardent defenders.
If none of the evidence made public so far has changed their mind, it seems unlikely that anything in this deposition will
Disney has officially confirmed that they’re moving forward on a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie without Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, the only part of those movies that was at all memorable to anyone. Seriously, what happened in those movies that didn’t involve Johnny Depp? Could you think of a single thing without looking it up? I didn’t think so.
Disney’s president of production Sean Bailey confirmed that the plan is to make a new movie without Depp in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
You’ve hired Deadpool scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick to work on a possible Pirates of the Caribbean reboot. Can Pirates survive without Johnny Depp?
We want to bring in a new energy and vitality. I love the [Pirates] movies, but part of the reason Paul and Rhett are so interesting is that we want to give it a kick in the pants. And that’s what I’ve tasked them with.
To be fair, they could make basically any pirate movie and call it Pirates of the Caribbean. It’s based on a boat ride where some drunk pirates chase women around. All they have to do to succeed here is not try to recreate Johnny Depp’s character and focus on making a good movie that people want to see. But this is Disney we’re talking about so I give them about 50-50 odds here.
This seems to be related to the declining profits on the last Pirates and not based on the eight people declared Depp cancelled after his acrimonious divorce with Amber Heard during which they both accused the other of being abusive. The accusations haven’t hurt Depp’s career, as he just appeared in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and has half a dozen other movies in production or pre-production.

Ricki Lake is spilling the details of how she lost her virginity.
The host, 50, asked Lake, “Did you lose your virginity on Hairspray or Cry-Baby?”
She replied, “Cry-Baby,” although she added, “Not to Johnny Depp.”
The actress starred in the 1990 film opposite of Depp, 55. The film focused on prim schoolgirl, Alison (Amy Locane) who begins dating a motorcycle-riding bad boy, Cry-Baby (Depp), against her family’s wishes.
Lake told Cohen she lost her virginity to “another actor, a really handsome actor.”
“He was very kind to me, and I was very large,” she said. “I was very happy to get it over with because I was almost 21. He was really sweet. My first time was really a good one.”
During the show, Lake also admitted to having a threesome “within the last 10 years” while playing Ricki Lake or Fake?
A shocked Juliette Lewis, who had to guess if the assumptions were correct, told Lake, “I feel like it’s so true.”
“It’s true,” Lake confirmed.
Lake starred as Pepper Walker in Cry-Baby. In the film, Pepper is a mother of two children while in high school and is expecting her third child as she attempts to help her brother, Cry-Baby (also known as Wade Walker), reunite with his love interest, Alison.
Johnny Depp might have some anger issues. I mean, we’ve all heard the allegations that he was abusive to his ex-wife Amber Heard, herself an alleged domestic abuser, right? Well, Depp got into an incident with the location manager of Depp’s upcoming film City of Lies and now Greg “Rocky” Brooks is suing Depp for punching him in ribs.
Brooks alleges that in April 2017, when the film was shooting under the title Labyrinth in and around the Barclay Hotel in downtown LA, he informed the director Brad Furman that an upcoming take featuring Depp would have to be the last outdoor shot of the night because of legal permits.
The lawsuit says Furman forced Brooks to go beyond his duties and tell Depp himself that shooting had to end. Brooks said he was seeking out the off-duty sheriff’s deputy serving as set security when Depp found him first.
Brooks said Depp smelled of alcohol and appeared intoxicated as he shouted obscenities then “angrily and forcefully” punched Brooks twice in the rib cage.
Depp then yelled “I will give you one hundred thousand dollars to punch me in the face right now!” at Brooks when he showed little reaction, according to the lawsuit, before the actor’s bodyguards pulled him away.
Brooks said he returned to work the following Monday and was asked by a producer to write and sign a declaration saying he wouldn’t sue over the incident. Brooks says he was fired on the spot when he refused.
Johnny Depp kind of strikes me as a bit of a wuss. I’m pretty sure I could take him in a fight, he’s in his 50s and he’s never looked particularly tough to begin with. Remember when we saw a picture of him without make-up on and thought he was dying? This is not a dude to be afraid of.
Regardless of the fact that Johnny Depp appears to be every bit as physically threatening as present-day Muhammad Ali, Brooks is suing him for causing him physical pain, as well as humiliation, mental pain and wrongful termination. The wrongful termination part seems a lot more believable than being physically injured by Johnny Depp.

Last week, fans were shocked by photos of Johnny Depp looking gaunt and frail while on tour with his band in Europe.
If you haven't seen the image in question, just imagine what Johnny would look like if he had spent the past few months preparing for a live-action sequel to the Corpse Bride.
Or, ya know ... you can just see for yourself in the pic below:
Look, Depp superfans are a real and terrifying bunch, and we know better than to needlessly provoke them, so before you scroll down to the comments to excoriate us for cracking jokes about a dying man, let us make one thing clear:
Johnny Depp is probably not dying.
In fact, he's probably just fine.
In fact, his reps have already issued a statement claiming that he's losing weight on purpose and is healthier than he's been in years.
But none of that will stop the Australian tabloids from working their readers up into a lather with claims that Depp is on his deathbed.
In case you're not familiar, Aussie tabloids make British tabloids look like freakin' New York Times in terms of journalistic integrity, which is really saying something, as British tabloids have been putting US tabloids to shame in terms of, well, shamelessness for the past couple decades.
Basically, just think of everything Donald Trump has said about the mainstream media in the past two years and know that all of those things are actually true of the Aussie tabloids.
Anyway, one scandal sheet from Down Under has demonstrated an obsession with Johnny's well-being that's matched only by every single Hot Topic clerk on the planet.
In a piece with the admirably restrained and subtle title of “What’s Killing Johnny?” a magazine that's apparently known only as NW claimed that sources close to the actor are deeply concerned that he's on his last (fatally skinny) legs.
“His friends are worried he’s keeping quiet about a serious illness," says an almost certainly made-up "insider."
"It’s well known that he’s a heavy drinker and the fear is his frail appearance could be linked to drugs or booze… or both."
The insider claims that one illness in particular has Johnny fans concerned:
“Many are worried he possibly has liver cancer or something because he’s so skinny and has got, like, no hair now.”
Lol at the claim that "many" people jumped to that same ultra-specific conclusion.
"Johnny's looking slimmer than usual. Must be the liver cancer," cried the masses in unison.
We guess the folks at NW can skate by on a technicality here, as Johnny Depp will almost certainly not live forever, and is thus dying, in a sense.
But if we know Johnny -- and we don't -- he'll be shambling across the stage like the reanimated cadaver of his idol Keith Richards long after everyone has stopped caring or paying attention.
Like the rest of the world, you probably didn’t see 2015’s Black Mass, but it was the last good performance Johnny Depp gave, and certainly his best in over a decade. His new film has the potential to do likewise, depending upon how seriously we’re supposed to take the whole thing.
City of Lies is a new film starring Depp as L.A.P.D. Detective Russell Poole, a man who spent twenty years trying to solve the mystery behind the murders of Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur. Forest Whitaker stars as a journalist with a vested interest in the case, who approaches Poole to find out what he knows, and why his findings have been suppressed.
The real Poole died in 2015, though he had always maintained that Suge Knight was behind Biggie’s 1997 death, and that the mogul had sought the help of members of the L.A.P.D. to pull off the drive-by in retaliation for the death of Shakur a year earlier.
This will be a big year for this story, having just been adapted for TV on the USA Network, and starring Westworld and It’s Always Sunny‘s Jimmi Simpson as Poole. Honestly, give me Simpson again in this movie. He looks a lot more like the real Poole than Depp does. City of Lies hits theaters on September 7.
Feng Shui has been a Chinese cultural practice for thousands of years. The practice involves arranging the items in your home, office, or wherever in a manner that encourages a positive energy flow through the room.
People from all types of backgrounds, including some very prominent celebrities, have become familiar with Feng Shui practices, and found ways to integrate the beliefs into their own lives. Check out a few of the most popular celebs we found to be believers in the art of Feng Shui.
Johnny Depp has been a known believer in the power of Feng Shui for years. He owns many different homes all around the world, and they are all built to please his Feng Shui needs. Depp even has his own private Feng Shui expert on the payroll.
Feng Shui and Madonna are two words that will generate numerous responses when searched through Google. Madonna has long been a believer in liberal and spiritual ways of enhancing life, including a strong display of Feng Shui in her multi-million dollar mansion.
Spielberg had his home built to accommodate the arrangement suggestions of Feng Shui. Feng Shui is a strong belief in the particular energies of wind and water. This belief is why you will often see large fountains and water-centered recreation areas around the homes of celebrity believers.
Tommy Hilfiger has been known to incorporate the concepts of Feng Shui in his showroom floor plans and designs. The color and fashion of his clothing designs and the energy put forth in his creativity show that Hilfiger’s Feng Shui is in order.
Bill Gates believes so strongly in the concepts of Feng Shui that he had his multi-million dollar home built from all natural materials to be more coalescent with the surrounding landscape. Bill’s beliefs are clearly leading to something great in his case.
Oprah Winfrey’s belief in the powers of Feng Shui have also treated her right. There’s no one who has experienced more success and prosperity in life than Miss Oprah Winfrey. Not to mention, there is nothing to be ashamed of when it comes to the aesthetic beauty of every interior design the woman touches.
Richard Branson has been said to use Feng Shui consultants on everything from the placement of the doors in his home to the use of aquariums and fountains. This super millionaire does everything he possibly can to promote success and vitality in his life.
Singer Sting uses Feng Shui to help keep his anger and other detrimental emotions in check. Keeping it copacetic is the main goal, and Sting sure has the ability to get what he wants.
Johnny Depp is in some serious trouble. I think he’s broke?
Back in 2012, The Management Group, the company that managed Depp, loaned him $5 million because he was hurting for cash. That explains why he kept making the pirate movies. Depp has yet to repay the money and even sued TMG for $25 million for fraud earlier this year. TMG has now decided to hit Depp with a “judicial foreclosure,” which means Depp has to pay back the money or authorities are going to start snatching up items from his five Los Angeles homes before they are sold.
There’s a lot of information in Deadline’s report, but here are the highlights:
*Depp spent more than he made in most years. Those hats aren’t cheap, you know.
*TMG loaned him money in 2012 to “save him from public embarrassment.”
*Depp paid back part of the money, but still owes around $4.5 million. So really, he didn’t pay back shit.
*Depp not only sued TMG earlier this year, he sued his ex-lawyer for $30 million last month. No wonder he’s broke. He keeps spending millions on lawyers to sue people for more millions.
*The trial won’t start until August 2018. By then you won’t even remember this is a story.
My favorite line of the story, that pretty much sums up why Depp might be broke, is that he spent $3 million to shoot the ashes of Hunter S. Thompson out of a cannon in 2005. That’s either a sign that you have too much money or a sign that you spend too much money.
Does this man not have a financial advisor? If so, Depp should probably sue him as well for giving him a lot of bad information over the years.
Get ready for another shitty Pirates movie in 2019 after Depp spends millions fighting all these cases and losing his homes. If you thought Jack Sparrow was rough looking in the last one, just wait until he’s a homeless pirate drifting in the sea.
Some breakups are pretty amicable and the two parties remain friends.
But others? Well.... others are less than amicable.

On Thursday, which incidentally was the same day court documents with fresh evidence suggesting actor Johnny Depp abused his ex-wife Amber Heard surfaced, Depp said to crowds at the Glastonbury Festival in the UK, “When was the last time an actor assassinated a President?”
He first qualified the failed attempt at dark humor that is so characteristic of him by saying, “This is going to be in the press, and it will be horrible.”
If you knew it was going to “be horrible,” why’d you have to go on and say it, anyway? Oh, right, because you’re Johnny-freaking-Depp.
So far, the comment has not sat well, least of all with President Donald Trump who, just weeks ago, was the subject of another “joke” gone too far, when comedian Kathy Griffin posted a photo of herself holding what appeared to be Trump’s severed head.
The Trump White House has called Depp’s comment “sad,” and a White House official released this statement:
“President Trump has condemned violence in all forms and its sad that others like Johnny Depp have not followed his lead. I hope that some of Mr. Depp’s colleagues will speak out against this type of rhetoric as strongly as they would if his comments were directed to a democrat elected official.”
Additionally, the Secret Service has stated that it is aware of Depp’s comment, CNN reports. “For security reasons, we cannot discuss specifically nor in general terms the means and methods of how we perform our protective responsibilities,” a statement from the Secret Service says.
Violent threats against a sitting U.S. president, even if made in jest, are always shocking. But from Depp, who, if accusations by his ex-wife are to be believed, is a very violent man — maybe less so.
According to Heard, who, in 2016, produced a photo of herself with a bruised face, as well as some in Depp’s management team, Depp on numerous occasions kicked, hit, and threw things at Heard.
And he walked away from it all pretty unscathed, going on to star in blockbusters and, as one does, to attend British film festivals and threaten to kill the president. But, hey, of all people, Trump should know — “when you’re a star, they let you do it!”
Celebrity domestic violence occurs even in the most seemingly-stable relationships.
Hollywood violence knows no gender, age, or reason, and some of these allegations are gonna curl your toes.
Who dragged his partner with a car? Who beat someone's face in so badly she needed to be hospitalized? Whose own mother and sister accused this superstar, award-winning actor of physical abuse?
Things are about to get real deep and dark in here, so we hope you have a flashlight, a blanket, and a box of tissues, because ugh.
Also, hey, can someone remind these asshats that violence is never the answer?
That could be pretty helpful, all things considered.

Universal Pictures wants to belly up to the table with Marvel Studios and DC/Warner. Their plan? The “Dark Universe”: A series of monster movies that will fall under an umbrella. They plan to have actors appear in each other’s movies like Marvel and DC does. The list includes Tom Cruise and Johnny Depp. There’s even noise about bringing Dwayne Johnson aboard.
Cruise is going to be the canary in the coal mine, starring in a remake of The Mummy, because enough time has passed since the Brendan Fraser years. If that hauls in enough money, then full speed ahead. The movies will center around the Invisible Man, Dr. Jekyll, Frankenstein, and the Bride of Frankenstein.
At first glance, it’s not a terrible idea for Universal. We, as a country, seem to love franchises. There was the whole build-up to The Avengers, now DC is trying to do the same with Justice League, though without the whole “fun superheroes” part.
I don’t know if anyone has noticed, but Depp seems incapable of making a profitable movie unless he plays Captain Jack Sparrow
Yes, yes, we know… you’re supposed to be the antithesis of Marvel, but I remember even the super-serious Batman comics having at least SOME humor in it. People seem to have hope for Wonder Woman, but we’ll see. That leaves us with Universal’s gambit here with the “Dark Universe” series.
I don’t know if anyone has noticed, but Depp seems incapable of making a profitable movie unless he plays Captain Jack Sparrow. For some reason, I don’t think he’s going to be able to play Sparrow as an invisible man. “Ooooh. You can’t see me. You can’t see me!” “No. But I can hear you due to your incessant talking and drunken walking. You also keep knocking things over.” “Uh-oh.”
Also, the rest of the movies seem to be leaning heavily on older actors who might be past their “Carry a Franchise” expiration date. Quick, tell me the last hit movie that Russell Crowe, Javier Bardem, and Angelina Jolie starred in? This could be like a baseball team signing a bunch of aging players to enormous contracts based on their previous performances. You know, like the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim…
One thing that might help Universal – they aren’t going to have to have a huge budget for every movie. There’s no need to shell out the GNP of some small countries for each film. The problem is, if they do assemble these characters in a single movie like The Avengers and Justice League, there’s the risk of it turning out to be another League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and we know how THAT turned out.
Yeah, not even Sean Connery could save that flaming pile of garbage. Another problem: They might have to rename this whole thing since Warner/DC was thinking of doing a “Dark Universe” series of comics and Justice League movie tie-in. Oops. Well, we’ll see what Universal thinks up. This will probably wind up in the pile of “Good idea, wrong people, wrong time”. I don’t think Depp, Cruise, Jolie, Crowe and Bardem are going to mind, though. They’re going to get their money, no matter what. The rest will be left in the dark.
Can we please forget about Johnny Depp already?
He’s gone from a quirky and cool actor and artist to a banrupt weirdo that abuses women, can’t be bothered to show up or remember lines for the roles he gets paid millions for, and is just all around a fucking dick.
According to Pirates franchise screenwriter Terry Rossio, Johnny Depp was against being in a film with a female villain because they are redundant.
Because apparently banking off the exact same gay Keith Richards impression he’s been doing for ten years is fine, but female villains are “overdone.”
The Independent reports that Rossio said his Pirates 5 script was shelved for a bizarre reason.
“My version of Dead Men Tell No Tales [the US title for Pirates 5] was set aside because it featured a female villain, and Johnny Depp was worried that would be redundant to Dark Shadows, which also featured a female villain.”
In a world where half our most bankable stars are interchangeable buff white dudes named Chris, suggesting that a female character is a gimmick and there should only be one in the entire commercial cinematic landscape at a time is fucking dumb.
I really don’t want to hear about any more of Johnny Depp’s opinions.
During an interview with BBC, Chastain was asked about her line memorization technique, considering that it’s apparently so hard. Way too hard for Johnny Depp, who makes millions a film and has all of his lines fed to him through an earpiece like that one Spongebob Squarepants episode.
She replied that her technique is “working hard” and rolled her eyes so far back they probably tickled her brain stem.
According to Someecards, Johnny Depp’s method for nailing it on the set of Pirates 5 involved forcing hundreds of extras and the cast and crew to wait around for hours until he could be bothered to wake up.
I’m so over Johnny Depp.
The following actors should always be involved in hairy situations.
When it comes to their faces, that is.
Because while some men look disheveled and unprofessional while rocking a beard and/or a mustache, these men manage to look more distinguished and dapper.
Don't you agree? (Yes, it does help that they are exceptional human specimens to begin with, we acknowledge this.)

We've heard the rumors that Johnny Depp is broke, but we figured he was ... ya know, Hollywood broke.
Like, he had to limit bathing in calves' blood to once a week, or he was forced to fire his personal sock shopper.
Little did we know, that in order to finance his $30,000 a month wine habit, Depp has been reduced to glad-handing with fans at the Happiest Place on Earth, alongside a bunch of sweaty improv class instructors and guys who played a corps on Law & Order once.
We kid, of course.
Depp did pop up on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland yesterday, but not because he's hard up for cash.
In all likelihood, it was part of the studio's effort to promote Pirates of the Caribbean 5: F--k It, Let's Make Another.
But maybe it's just something that Depp does for kicks when he gets bored.
After all, getting black-out, dressing up like Hunter S. Thompson and shooting off large firearms indoors must get old eventually, right?
Anyway, Depp stunned fans of the famous attraction by popping out in full Captain Jack garb and remaining in character as boatloads of tourists passed him by.
Whether you love Johnny or hate him, it's an awfully cool thing for an A-lister actor to do.
Of course, if a movie role made us enough money to afford a freakin' private island (and a 30 grand a month wine habit), you would literally never see us out of costume.
Check out Johnny-as-Jack in the clip below:
Johnny Depp is trying to seal himself away from in his own private compound in the Hollywood Hills.
Depp owns five houses on a cul-de-sac in Hollywood and his dream is the buy the sixth and last house on the block, form a compound, and install a gate to its entrance so buses wouldn’t be able to gawk at his homes.
He doesn’t just want a bunch of houses, he wants to connect them all via underground tunnels, so he can fly from house to house without being seen.
The only thing standing in the way of this Depp labyrinth is the owner of the sixth house. Though Depp has reportedly done everything to get that house, they’re not budging.
What is Depp supposed to do? Go live in his house in France? It’s another sad Hollywood tragedy.
According to Johnny Depp, his financial management team, TMG, has royally screwed him over. According to TMG, Depp screwed himself over by living a $2 million a month lifestyle he couldn’t afford.
So, what’s real?
A statement from Depp’s attorney in the $25 million lawsuit battle reads:
“Mr. Depp did not sue his former business managers for his own personal investment decisions or the ‘financial distress’ they wildly allege — Mr. Depp sued them for fraud and multiple breaches of their fiduciary duty, among other claims.”
“Gaslighting the public with global press releases will not save the defendants in court from their gross misconduct set forth in the complaint.”
I don’t know. Johnny Depp does crazy shit all the time. It’s kinda hard to take the side of a guy that might have been beating the shit out of Amber Heard while spending $75 mil on houses, $14 mil on a yacht, and spending $30K monthly having fancy wines airlifted to his numerous chateaus.
According to Depp’s lawsuit, however, he’s suing them for paying themselves $28 million dollars of his money without his consent and forgetting to pay his taxes.
Probably everyone here is right in that they all are shitty and rich.
Back in September, several media outlets reported that Amber Heard was essentially homeless following her disastrous split from Johnny Depp.
That's probably an exaggeration, but it seems that Heard's financial situation was indeed pretty dire in the wake of her divorce.
Fortunately, if the latest rumors about her love life are true, we imagine she's not stressing too much about money these days.
According to the Daily Mail, Heard and Tesla/Space-X billionaire Elon Musk are an item.
"She was telling friends over Christmas how smitten she is with Elon," one insider tells the tabloid.
"They are already planning a lot of adventures together and she's relieved she can move on with her life," the source added.
"It's an exciting new chapter for both of them."
Yeah, we imagine dating a billionaire tech genius makes for a pretty exciting chapter.
When most people say they're planning an adventure, they mean they're thinking of taking a road trip next summer.
When Elon Musk says it, he might actually be talking about going to the moon.
Anyway, the relationship couldn't come at a better time for Amber Heard who's coming off a very 2016 2016.
Her high-profile divorce from Johnny Depp was one of the ugliest celebrity splits in recent memory, and it doesn't look like the battle is over quite yet.
Though Amber and Johnny reached a settlement back in August, the matter wound up back in court following a bizarre turn of events.
Amber announced plans to donate her settlement cash to charity.
When Johnny's offered to write checks directly to the organizations of her choice, she claimed that it was a scheme to secure a tax write-off, and now the entire $7 million is still in limbo.
Of course, that's chump change to Musk, who's reportedly been pursuing Heard (undeterred by the fact that she was married) since 2013.
Both parties appeared in the film Machete Kills around that time, but they didn't share a scene or meet on set.
Musk began emailing director Robert Rodriguez, claiming that he was "intrigued" by Heard, and asking him to set up a date.
Amber reportedly agreed to a casual, platonic dinner, but then stood the mogul up.
But we guess it all worked out in the end.
Things tend to work out in your favor when you have a few billion in the bank.
Remember when we thought the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard had been settled, and both sides would be able to move on with their lives?
Yes, it was a simpler time, when the world occasionally made sense, and Donald Trump was just a ex-reality show host with delusions of grandeur.
Looking back now, we realize what fools we were.
As you may recall, Depp and Heard reached a deal back in August.
Both parties agreed to the terms, and it seemed that one of the ugliest celebrity divorces in recent memory had finally come to an end.
Then, Amber announced plans to donate her settlement to charity.
It sounds like an innocuous enough plan, but her decision set off a new round of legal wrangling that shows no signs of letting up.
Many saw Heard's public declaration of philanthropic intentions as a bald-faced PR stunt.
Depp's team attempted to maneuver around it by offering to donate the cash directly to charity.
Heard's people saw this is as an attempt to make Depp look like the good guy and score a nice tax write-off in the process.
For reasons that remain unclear, Heard went on to demand twice as much money as a result of Depp's attempt to give to the charities directly, thus bringing her total settlement to $14 million.
It's tough to say who's right and who's wrong, but either way, the real victim here ... is the children.
No, but seriously, almost five months after the deal was reached the charities have only received one payment, because the issue has been tied up in court for the majority of that time.
Now, Team Depp is claiming that this whole situation is the result of Heard's desperation to stay in the spotlight.
("The spotlight" here meaning the tabloid headlines.)
Depp's attorney, Laura Wasser, described Heard's behavior as "a blatant attempt to extend her fifteen minutes of fame" and "an embarrassing grab for additional and unwarranted attorney's fees."
Harsh words, but there's a reason TMZ calls Wasser "the disso queen."
The reason is that Harvey Levin sucks at coming up with nicknames.
We like you, Harvey, and we hear you make a mean blueberry smoothie, but seriously, take that one back to the lab, homey.
Johnny Depp may or may not have been involved in the Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt divorce.
There may or may not be a chance that Depp and Jolie actually hook up in the wake of the latter's split from her husband of two years.
But here's something we can say for certain about Depp:
He is most definitely NOT anywhere to be found in the first trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
Disney has given fans of this franchise its first look at the fifth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean, dropped a teaser that focuses primarily in new villain Captain Salazar.
He will be played by Javier Bardem and he has an oddly polite message to send Depp's Jack Sparrow in the following trailer.
(Sorry, Depp's CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow, we mean.)
But Depp's absence from the preview is notable for two reasons:
First, can you imagine Pirates of the Caribbean without Johnny Depp?!?
His Oscar-nominated portrayal of the big screen's most famous captain is the main reason why it found so much success in the first place... and why movies in this franchise continue to get made.
Depp will be featured prominently in the film, of course, but it seems like promotional suicide not to include him in the trailer.
This brings up to point number-two, however:
Is he not featured in the trailer due to the negative news that has been surrounding Depp for months?
In mid-August, Depp settled his divorce case with Amber Heard.
He gave the actress $7 million as part of the settlement and released a statement that seemed to admit to some bad behavior, most notably the part that read:
"Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm."
The resolution followed numerous accusations that Depp was physically and verbally abusive of his famous wife, often lashing out at her in drunken tirades.
One was even caught on film (by Heard) and it paints a very ugly picture of the veteran actor.
See for herself now:
There was even talk that Depp cut off his own finger during one of these tantrums.
So it's certainly worth keeping an eye on just how Disney and Depp handle this delicate situation as the release date for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales creeps closer and closer.
Will he make the media rounds?
Again, it would seem crazy for him not to appear on every possible talk show in order to promote this blockbuster.
But it also seems like his alleged history of domestic abuse would serve as a distraction as he did so.
In addition to Depp and Bardem, Orlando Bloom will reprise his role as Will Turner in the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie, while Geoffrey Rush returns to play Hector Barbossa.
New characters will include Carina Smyth, played by Kaya Scodelario; and Haifaa Meni, played by Golshifteh Farahani.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be released on May 26, 2017.
