As you've almost certainly heard by now, Kim Kardashian hosted Saturday Night Live this week, and the reviews of her performance have been ... mixed, to put it generously.
Kim made little attempt to hide that she was reading from cue cards, and her wooden delivery further hindered some sketches that didn't have much going for them in the first place.
But the billionaire mogul got off to a solid start, opening the show with a monologue that surprised viewers with Kim's competent timing -- and her ability to push the envelope with some genuinely edgy material.
Unfortunately, not everyone was a fan of her envelope-pushing material.
The most surprising moments in Kim's first foray into standup involved her father's relationship with O.J. Simpson.
The late Robert Kardashian was a close friend of Simpson's, and he played a crucial role in assembling the legal "dream team" that got the former NFL star acquitted of double murder.
Though it's a part of her family history that she rarely discusses, Kim went all-in with the O.J. jokes during her monologue.
“It’s because of [my father] that I met my first black person. Want to take a stab in the dark at who it was?” she led off.
"I know it’s sort of weird to remember the first black person you met, but O.J. does leave a mark or several or none at all. I still don’t know.”
Now, people have been making jokes about the fact that O.J. got away with murder for over 25 years.
But the punchlines are a bit more shocking when delivered by someone who knew him intimately, and whose father played a crucial role in securing his acquittal.
Obviously, the jokes were written by SNL writers, and not by Kim.
Still, her willingness to deliver them in front of a national television audience is a sure sign that she found the content completely appropriate.
Now, several critics of Kim's monologue have come forward to condemn the 40-year-old mogul's response.
One of these detractors is Tanya Brown, the sister of O.J.'s slain wife, Nicole Brown Simpson.
Tanya told TMZ that she felt Kim's comments were in “poor taste," as well as “beyond inappropriate and insensitive."
She added that it's equally shameful that Kris Jenner chose to participate in the episode, despite the fact that she was close friends with Nicole in the years prior to her death.
Author Don Winslow echoed Tanya's comments, tweeting:
“Can the press who praised Kim Kardashian’s SNL monologue which made multiple jokes about Nicole Brown’s repeated beatings by OJ Simpson and her horrific and violent death (she joked about both) take a minute and post photos of Nicole’s repeated injuries? It’s not f–king funny.”
The comment received thousands of likes in its first two hours online.
The content of Kim's monologue was especially surprising in the wake of the death of Norm MacDonald.
In the weeks since the beloved SNL star passed away, many of his most beloved comedy bits have been making the rounds online -- and many of them were jokes about O.J., whose trial was the top story for much of Norm's time behind the Weekend Update desk.
McDonald was fired for those jokes by NBC executives who were close friends with Simpson.
We assume those people are no longer with the network.
Either that, or they've finally gotten the memo that their buddy almost certainly murdered his wife and an innocent bystander.
Kim Kardashian is not exactly known for her sense of humor.
Standiing on the iconic Saturday Night Live stage this weekend, however, the former sex tape star tried to prove otherwise.
"I'm excited to be here tonight to show you guys that I'm so much more than just a pretty face and good hair and great makeup and amazing boobs and a perfect butt," Kim said in her monologue.
"Basically, I'm just so much more than that reference photo my sisters showed their plastic surgeons."
Elsewhere during this speech, Kardashian hurled some shade at her famous estranged husband... her mother's boyfriend... and even O.J. Simpson.
Let's run it all down, shall we?
On being a self-made billionaire: “The one thing I’m really proud of is that no one could ever call me a gold digger.
"Honestly, I’m not even sure how you become one. So I asked my mom’s boyfriend Cory.”
On her dad Robert Kardashian’s influence… and his link to the aforementioned alleged killer:
“My father was, and still is an inspiration to me, and I credit him with really opening up my eyes to racial injustice. It’s because of him I met my first Black person.
"Want to take a stab in the dark at who it was? I know it’s sort of weird to remember the first Black person you met, but O.J. does leave a mark. Or several!
"Or none at all. I still don’t know."
On the reputation of a certain other K-name:
“I’m an influencer, so I understand that the things that I say carry weight. But I would never tell anyone what they can or can’t do.
"Remember: I’m a Kim, not a Karen. And honestly, with all of the K names, it’s really impressive that my mom didn’t pick Karen.
"Somehow she just knew. I don’t know how she saw that one coming and not Caitlyn.”
On her divorce from Kanye West:
"I married the best rapper of all time. Not only that, but he’s the richest Black man in America — a talented, legit genius who gave me four incredible kids.
"So when I divorced him, you have to know it just came down to one thing: his personality.
"I know that sounds mean, but people keep telling me that comedy comes from truth. And if there's one thing that I always strive to be, it's genuine."
On Kanye and Caitlyn both getting clobbered in their campaigns for President and California Governor, respectively:
"Now I know we're divided as a country, but I'd love America to come together, which is why I'm here to announce that I'm running for...
"I'm just kidding, guys! I'm not running for president.
"We can't have three failed politicians in one family."
Not terrible, right?
Kim did not write her own material, of course, but she delivered it pretty smoothly.
Following her monologue, Kardashian appeared in several sketches, including a star-studded The Bachelorette parody.
How do you think she did, folks?!?
Last week, Kanye West hosted a listening party for his new album at Soldier Field in his native Chicago.
The collection of songs -- named for West's late mother, Donda -- has been described as Kanye's most personal work to date, which is really saying something for an artist who's never been shy about putting his life into his lyrics.
Of course, the spectacle of the event was as startling as the music, with Kanye pulling out all the stops in order to make the ultimate impression on his awestruck crowd.
And one of the biggest shocks was delivered by a very unexpected guest.
Yes, Kim Kardashian joined Kanye on stage, and the mother of the rapper's four children was clad in a Balenciaga bridal gown.
As though that wasn't enough to get the rumor mill churning, Kim and Kanye were spotted holding hands after the show.
Needless to say, either these two are back together, or they very much want people to think they are.
Knowing how much they both enjoy the spotlight, we wouldn't be surprised if it's the latter.
And there are quite a few signs that Kim and Kanye are still very much estranged from one another.
For starters, Kanye blasts Kim in the lyrics to his new album.
On top of that, it seems that Kim is still doing her own thing on social media, even though she's well aware that Kanye probably wouldn't approve.
As you may have heard, during their relationship, Kim was forced to "tone down" her Instagram content.
In other words, even though he married her knowing full well what sort of pics she posts, he later changed his mind and decided to cover up more.
So yeah, Kanye probably wouldn't approve of the "nothing but boots" look that Kim rocked in a new photo promoting her KKW perfume.
Does this mean that Kim and Kanye are 100 percent not together?
Well no, but it's a pretty good sign that having Kim dramatically saunter out in a wedding dress was just another one of Yeezy's lame stunts choreographed to drum up interest in his latest project.
He was also joined on stage by newly-"canceled" artists Da Baby and Marilyn Manson.
The purpose of this stunt appears to have been nothing other than drumming up some of the tabloid headlines that seem to be as crucial as oxygen for Kanye.
Of course, the people who felt victimized by those two probably didn't find the the situation quite so amusing.
Meanwhile, the album has garnered reviews that could best be described as "mixed."
And yes, that's our polite way of saying the response from the critical community has been about as positive as if Kanye had released a flaming bag of dog crap.
West acting like a jerk is as much a part of his career as his music at this point, so his latest pretentious artisté behavior certainly isn't surprising.
But he might soon find that his fans' patience for his theatrics will rapidly decline along with their interest in his music.
On some levels, Kim Kardashian is ready to date again ... in a sense.
The mother of four is ready to be happy. There's no question about that.
However, a number of factors have converged to give her pause.
After all that she went through with Kanye, dating again seems almost too daunting to begin.
Us Weekly heard from an inside source who offered insight into how Kim Kardashian is approaching things right now.
“She’s not focused on dating at the moment," the insider dished.
"But," the source added, "actually worries that guys will not want to date her."
Why in the world would a famous, rich knockout like Kim worry that guys would view her as undateable?
According to the insider, it's "because of how public her relationship was with Kanye."
It's unclear if that means that they would fear following up Kanye, or if they would be scared off by the spotlight.
After six years of marriage, Kim also has other concerns that weigh on her.
“She also knows how hard it is to build trust with someone," the source reasoned.
"So," the insider continued, "she thinks it’s going to take time before letting someone into her private life."
“It was easy with Kanye," the source characterized.
The insider explained this ease as existing "because they were friends before."
"So," the source reasoned, "they had years’ worth of trust.”
Kim has also been processing the inherent weirdness of Kanye dating again so quickly after they broke up.
“She certainly did not think that Kanye would move on with someone else before her,” the insider revealed.
(Really? Is Kanye especially well known for having good impulse control or a lot of patience?)
“Friends and family are telling her she has nothing to worry about," the source assured.
"And when she’s ready to date again," the insider added, "they gladly will be setting her up with potential suitors.”
That could have its ups and downs, but it's better than being lonely and miserable when you don't want to be.
In 2010, Irina Shayk worked with Kanye on his "Power" music video.
Now, 11 years later, the two are dating.
And the relationship has been going on for months, though it sounds like things began slowly.
It has been reported that Kanye and Irina's relationship is going well.
The two took a birthday trip together to celebrate Kanye turning 44.
It is said that he appreciates her chill, laid-back disposition.
During the final season of her family's series, Kim addressed the divorce.
“I just think he deserves someone who will support his every move," Kim expressed.
She continued: "And go follow him all over the place and move to Wyoming."
"I can’t do that," Kim confessed, as if making rational decisions for herself and her family were a personal failing.
“He should have a wife that supports his every move," she claimed.
"And," Kim continued, "travels with him and does everything, and I can’t."
"I feel like a f--king failure. It’s my third f--king marriage."
"Yeah, I feel like a f--king loser."
"But I can’t even think about that. I want to be happy.”
It's unclear why Kim believes that Kanye is so worthy that he deserves a sycophant instead of a partner.
Regardless, Kim was not going to be that for him.
That is for the best for her and for their four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
“I just feel like I’ve worked so hard in life to achieve everything that I’ve wanted to," Kim noted to her family on the show.
"And," she added, "I’ve lived up to my expectations and achieved 10 times more than I even thought was humanly possible."
"But I don’t have a life to share that with,” Kim lamented.
“Like, I do -- obviously my kids and everything," Kim quickly emphasized.
"But am I just going to sit here and think, ‘OK, my kids fulfill me and I’m good?’” she asked.
Just as not everyone wants a relationship, some people genuinely crave companionship and do not like being single. Just ... not Kanye.
Kim Kardashian has been married like, eight times, and I think everyone is really surprised that she couldn’t make it work with a massive narcissist who completely changed his entire worldview halfway through their marriage. And as sad as it is that Kim is getting divorced, it’s even sadder that Kanye West is clearly winning the break-up.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had met a few times over the years, but what lead to them dating and eventually marrying is a rejected Comedy Central pilot Kanye and his friend Rhymefest produced called Alligator Boots. The show would have been something of an homage to The Muppet Show with a hip-hop edge featuring West and a puppet rapper called Pork Troy.
Kim Kardashian was in the pilot, playing Princess Leia in that metal bikini from Return of the Jedi. Kanye insisted on having Kim on the show after seeing her sex tape with Ray J.
West was the only human star in the original plan for the pilot, but he had an idea for a love interest. On The Muppet Show, a singer might juggle or an actor might dance; on Alligator Boots, Kanye wanted to dress up like a stormtrooper for a sketch with a costar clad as “slave Leia” from Return of the Jedi. And he had one very specific person in mind.
Kellison: Kanye came to me and said, “I want to put Kim Kardashian in the show.” Now, at that point, Kim Kardashian was known for only one thing—her sex tape with Ray J, which had just come out.
Kellison: When I first met Kanye, he was recording that song “Flashing Lights”—I walked into the studio and he was behind the control board, and this woman was singing one of the sections of the song. She goes, “How about that take?” And he was like, “I’m sorry, I missed it. Can you do it again?” He was watching the Kim Kardashian tape on his computer; it had come out that day, and that’s why he was distracted.
Isn’t that a great story about Kanye West, the same Kanye West who would later tell Kim to stop dressing so sexy? Yeah, they basically got married because he saw her having sex with her friend’s brother and thought “now that I’m producing a TV show, I can use my influence to get this relative unknown on-set and have sex with her myself.” You know who else had that thought? Harvey Weinstein. Maybe it is a good thing that Kanye found Jesus.
A few years later, Kim would be pregnant with the couple’s first child, North West. Kanye really named his first-born child North West, I feel like people forget that. They claimed at the time that North meant “highest power” and she was their North Star, but they later admitted they chose the name because Jay Leno made a joke about it.
Of course, Kanye would later say that he and Kim almost aborted North. He said this in public, during a speech for his presidential run which he honestly thought he was going to win despite not being on the ballot in a lot of states, being Kanye West and being the sort of person who talks about almost having aborted his eldest daughter during a campaign speech.
“The abortion culture teaches that the child isn’t a real soul,” said West, who suggested that was his mindset when Kardashian called him in 2012 crying and screaming after discovering she was pregnant with their first child. “It was my wife that said: ‘This is a soul.’”
He continued, “The scariest thing is she had the [abortion] pills… She had the pills in her hand,” putting them down when West had an epiphany due to his blinking computer screen.
Of course, there was a rumor Kim was pregnant a few years before the couple had North and then Kanye was complaining about the high price of abortions a little while after that, so…
Kanye telling everyone this story of how he and Kim almost aborted North, which devolved into right-wing nonsense about abortion being racist, is widely believed to be the thing that led to the couple’s divorce.
But Kanye seemed to want a divorce long before Kim. If you remember when he went crazier that normal last summer, Kanye called Kim and her mother Kris white supremacists and accused her of cheating on him with Meek Mill. Actually, it kind of sounds like he knew Kim wasn’t having an affair with Meek, but he just didn’t want her meeting with other men to discuss prison reform, which is a major issue for Kim but something Kanye doesn’t seem to care about at all. Either way just a perfect sign of a super-healthy relationship.
If you’re wondering what level of delusion Kanye was on at the time, he also said his message was from “the future president,” something I think we all know not only didn’t happen in 2020 but will never happen.
It takes a certain amount of unchecked ego to think you should be president, especially as a non-politician. A lot of people became involved in politics on a smaller level because they wanted to change things for the better in their community and they ended up getting elected to higher and higher offices; it still takes a certain overblown sense of self to think you should be the leader of an entire country, but when someone who’s never held public office suddenly says “I should be President,” that person is probably a full-on narcissist and will probably be pretty bad at it.
If you look at just how chaotic and poorly managed Kanye’s run for President was, you’ll know that the man should never be let anywhere near a public office in his life and that he’s probably pretty hard to be married with. He basically woke up one day, halfway through the presidential campaign, and said “I’d like to be President of the United States today. I’ll tell people I’ll bring prayer back to schools despite that being clearly unconstitutional.” And then he went out and kind of ran for president. Just like he kind of built concept low-income housing one time, and then had to tear it down because he didn’t get any building permits.
See, Kanye West does things. Specifically, he just does whatever he’s thinking about doing at the moment. Part of that is that he’s bipolar and people having manic episodes will just do weird s**t sometimes, and that’s fine. But Kanye also just doesn’t consider other people even when he’s not having a manic episode. If he wakes up and says “I want to make some ugly-as-s**t shoes and sell them for like $300,” he might just actually make some ugly-as-s**t shoes and sell them for $300.
But he also does things like wake up and say “I think I’m going to buy a ranch in Wyoming and move there whether my wife and kids come with me or not.” That’s really the decision that ended Kanye and Kim’s marriage.
“I just honestly can’t do this anymore. Why am I still in this place where I’m stuck for years? Like, he goes and moves to a different state every year,” Kardashian said. “I have to be, like, together so I can raise the kids. He’s an amazing dad, he’s done an amazing job.”
She added that West “deserves someone who will support his every move” and “go follow him all over the place and move to Wyoming.”
Now, we had heard a number of times that Kanye was desperate to keep his marriage to Kim intact, which makes sense when you consider how much he talks about Jesus these days.
For example, we heard in March, just after the couple announced their divorce officially, that Kanye was working on a plan to get Kim back, and that he hoped that having some space and co-parenting would bring them back together. And there was a story that when it dawned on Kanye that he and Kim were really getting divorced, he wasn’t doing well and was basically hoping they could get back together.
It doesn’t seem like any of that is actually true, though. In fact, Kanye is definitely winning the break-up.
Since the split, Kim has failed the First-Year Law Students’ Exam, which is her first hurdle in becoming a lawyer, not once but twice. Normally, if she fails a third time, she’ll lose any credit she’s gotten for her Law Office Study Program beyond the first year, but she may get a fourth try because of COVID-19 rules.
Students at an accredited law school aren’t required to take this test, which lasts seven hours and consists of four essay questions and 100 multiple-choice questions. It basically exists to make sure the law education you’re getting through reading the law or taking online courses is up to snuff.
And Kim failing isn’t really because she’s dumb, per se, because only about one in five people who take the FYLSE pass it. That said, I don’t think Kim Kardashian is going to turn out to be a secret genius.
Kanye West might actually be a secret genius, though. Well, I guess not secret, because he won’t shut up about how much a genius he is, but still. Kanye used a failed Comedy Central pilot to meet Kim Kardashian, who at the time was in her 20s and famous for being the hot chick with the big ass from the sex tape. He was the one who was sleeping with her when her ass broke the internet.
Today, Kim Kardashian is 40 years old and has had four kids. Kanye’s new girlfriend, Irina Shayk, looks a little bit like Kim but is younger and has only had one kid. That’s a baller move right there; get a woman to waste the best years of her life on you and then trade her in for a younger model during a worldwide pandemic while she’s struggling to accomplish her dreams even though she stood by you through every insane idea you had for a decade.
Most of the time when a relationship ends, you have a good person who is miserable and a bad person who’s happy. Just sayin’.
The post Kanye West is Absolutely Winning His Divorce From Kim Kardashian appeared first on The Blemish.
Keeping Up with the Kardashians finally caught up with real life on Thursday night.
Earlier this month, the iconic series airedd footage of Kim Kardashian breaking down of her failed marriage to Kanye West -- but that episode was filmed ages ago.
Before Kim even filed for divorce.
During part one of the show's reunion special this week, Andy Cohen hosted a gathering of family members that was recorded just a couple days ago.
In this case, long after Kim filed for divorce, as she cited "irreconcilable differences" between herself and the rapper in February.
Before delving into the end of this seven-year union, however, Kardashian was asked when/how she and Kanye first got together.
"I would say six months after my divorce with Kris Humphries, I called Kanye and I was like, 'You're not even going to call me to say I told you so?'
"And then we met up six months later, and from that first night, I knew it was over."
Which is to say, she knew she was smitten for life.
"My marriage with Kanye and my kids was, is so real and lots of love and that to me was like my first real marriage," Kim continued.
Alright then, Cohen pressed:
"If I asked you point blank, 'Why did your marriage not work?' what would you attribute it to?"
To her semi-credit, Kim answered the question.
But that doesn't mean she provided many specifics.
"I honestly don't think I would even say it here on TV, but it was not like, one specific thing that happened on either part," replied the mother of four.
"I think it was just a general difference of opinions on a few things that led to this decision. And, like, in no way would I want someone to think that I didn't give it my all, or not really try.
"You know, we have four kids. There's nothing that I think parents would want more than to see, or even kids want more, than to see their parents together.
"I grew up and I lived that myself."
Trouble allegedly started brewing just about a year ago, after Kanye announced his campaign for the Presidency and then went out and gave a number of speeches.
During his time on the trail, Kanye spilled a great deal of personal tea, revealing, for example, that he had wanted Kim to abort daughter North when she first told him she was pregnant.
The artist kept ranting and raving for months.
At one point, it got so bad that Kim released her first-ever statement in regard to her husband's mental health, acknowleding Kanye was sick and asking observers for "compassion."
There was then some sort of huge argument between the husband and wife in December -- and that was the final straw.
Kardashian refuses to trash talk her estranged husband, however, telling Cohen they now have an "amazing" co-parenting relationship and adding:
"I respect him so much and you know, that was my friend first, first and foremost, for a long time, so I can't see that going away.
"I will forever be Kanye's biggest fan. He's the father of my kids, Kanye will always be family."
With Kanye dating Irina Shayk, the reunion then turned to Kim's love life.
"Could you see yourself dating a non-celebrity?" Andy asked.
"Yeah, absolutely. Just someone that I think would understand what this life is about, though," Kim said.
"But I think what I was looking for and who I was, you know years ago is completely different than who I am today and I value privacy. And I just want something that's like, really real."
Kardashian also shot down speculation that she's with Van Jones.
As for the two biggest controversies in her adult life?
First, Kim said she felt "pressured" to marry Kris Humphries, despite having cold feet before the wedding, because she didn't want to "let everyone down."
Second, Cohen actually asked the following:
Do you feel the show would have had its massive initial success without the publicity that surrounded the sex tape?
"Looking back, probably not," admitted Kardashian, referring to footage of her sleeping with Ray J that went viral in 2007.
It just happened to get leaked right before the series premiere of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. What a coincidence, right?!?
"I think that everything happens for a reason and I really try to live like that," Kim added.
"Every time there's a crazy scandal that feels like you can't breathe and how are you gonna get through this, it always is a lesson.
"Even if it's a private lesson, or even if it's just something that we didn't know we had to go through."
According to a new report, Kim Kardashian is a walking shrug emoji at the moment.
As you may have heard about by now, Kanye West is reportedly dating Irina Shayk.
The rapper and the model -- who previously dated such A-lister as Cristiano Ronaldo and Bradley Cooper, even making a baby with the latter -- were spotted in France on Tuesday.
By all accounts, they looked very cozy and happy together.
Heck, an insider even told TMZ that Kanye and Irina are "100% together."
Now, this same website claims that West and Shayk have been a romantic item since around March, having allegedly attended the April celebration for life in honor of DMX after the rapper passed away this spring.
At the time, at this event, Shayk was wearing a custom DMX memorial shirt... before it was available to the general public.
Why is this notable?
Because these pieces of attire were designed by Balenciaga and commissioned by the Yeezy brand, as Kanye helped raise over $1 million for DMX's family with the profits.
Kardashian, of course, filed to divorce West in February, citing "irreconcilible differences" as the basis for a legal break-up that many had seen coming for months.
Ever since Kanye hit the Presidential campaign trail in the summer of 2020, ranting and raving and revealing family secrets, there had been chatter that Kim had finally grown fed up with her husband's instability.
The couple also allegedly got into a giant argument in December that served as the tipping point for an eventual divorce.
Relatedly, numerous outlets have claimed that Kanye was living in Wyoming on his ranch, with Kim in Los Angeles with her kids, long before any divorce papers were served.
So, with the marriage having been evidently over for quite awhile, how does Kardashian feel right now about Kanye having seemingly moved on?
Just fine, thanks!
"Kim has heard the rumors about Kanye and Irina Shayk and she doesn't mind at all," an E! News insider alleges. "If it doesn't impact her kids, then she doesn't mind if Kanye dates."
Seems impossible to imagine that Kim isn't jealous or bitter in some way, shape or form.
But perhaps she really has moved on, as well.
Emotionally, that is.
"Irina and Kim don't know each other, so its a non factor for Kim. She doesn't mind if Kanye is dating," a second source told E!, which is a network basically run by the Kardashians, remember.
It is true that Kanye and Irina have known each other for years.
The model walked in the artist's Paris Fashion Week show in 2012... was cited in his track "Christian Dior Denim Flow" ... and appeared in his music video for "Power" in 2010.
"It was moving art and it was so much fun to work with Kanye because he's a great artist but also a great person," Shayk told The Wall Street Journal's Speakeasy in 2011 about her cameo, adding:
"I was playing the role of an angel which I was doing more devil than angel."
Still, the timing of Shayk and West's sighting abroad is a tad bit ironic.
The same day news broke that these two were hitting it, Kim shared a throwback photo of her and Kanye with their kids in honor of his 44th birthday, captioning the picture:
"Happy Birthday. Love U for Life!"
She also broke down on last Thursday night's new episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
"He should have a wife that supports his every move and travels with him and does everything and I can't," Kardashian wailed through tears.
"I feel like a f--king failure and it's, like, a third f--king marriage. Yeah, I feel like a f--king loser. But I can't even think about that.
"Like, I want to be happy."
Maybe now she can be.
Maybe now that she knows there truly is no future, Kim can look toward the future.
We can't help but wonder:
Does she still have Ray J's number?
Kim Kardashian has said almost nothing in public about her divorce from Kanye West.
For the first time she filed the papers back in February, however, the reality star's reaction to the end of her seven-year marriage has been made public.
Courtesy of Kardashian herself.
More specifically, courtesy of the latest episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
On Thursday night, E! viewers tuned in to see the Kardashian-Jenner family take a trip to Lake Tahoe.
Initially, they spent some time doing an assessment of Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick's relationship ... prior to addressing Kim's hidden and ongoing pain.
"Kim has been struggling privately behind camera about her relationship and it's tough because KIm is clearly redirecting so much of her frustration and sadness and anger," Khloe says early on in a confessional.
"Sometimes you just take things out on something that has nothing to do with what you're going through."
Asked by her sisters how things are going with Kanye, Kim then told Khloe:
"There's no fighting. Like, now it's all calm so I just roll with it, you know?"
Was it a calm before a huge storm, though?
Or perhaps a calm after a huge storm, as Khloe quickly noted on air.
"Kim is dealing with so much right now and it's tough because before we left, her and Kanye had this big fight," she told the camera.
This admission may shed some light on when the episode was filmed, as Kim and Kanye allegedly got into a major argument in December -- which insiders have claimed hammered the final nail in the couple's romantic coffin.
Cut to a flashback.
And cut to viewers witnessing Kim crying and opening up to siblings Kendall Jenner, Kourtney and Kylie Jenner about the state of her marriage.
"He should have a wife that supports his every move and travels with him and does everything and I can't," Kim wailed through tears, adding that she can't relocate to Wyoming to be with Kanye.
“I can’t do this anymore. I can’t," she continued.
"How am I still in this place where I’m stuck for years? Like he goes and moves to a different state every year."
According to various outlets, Kim did indeed remain in Los Angeles with her kids throughout the troubles in her relationship... while West mostly holed up in his ranch in Wyoming.
"I have to be in a place where I’m together for the kids," Kim added of her four children before actually defending Kanye a bit.
"And he’s an amazing dad. And he’s done an amazing job.
"I think he deserves someone that can support his every move and go to Wyoming to be with him and follow him everywhere."
This, of course, comes across like a scripted passage that Kim's PR team asked her to put in.
No man or woman deserves a spouse who blindly follows him or her around everywhere. That's nonsense. But this line of reasoning paints Kim in a sympathetic light.
Anyone who chronicled this pair's relationship in 2020 is well aware that Kanye blasted his family along multiple Presidential campaign stops, spewing secrets on stage and acting like someone who needed to be on meds.
Kim even issued a statement last July about Kanye's mental health.
"I feel like a f––king failure and it's like a third f––king marriage. Yeah, I feel like a f––king loser," Kim said on the episode.
"But I can’t even think about that.
"I want to be happy."
One also must question why this scene aired via flashback and whether it actually occurred in natural fashion... or whethrr Kim was simply doing many takes for the camera over and over again until she got it right.
Either way, the end result is the same:
And her loved ones gushed over her after the flashback aired, playing their roles perfectly.
"[She] is one of the most incredible human beings, literally ever," Khloe said of her older sister.
"And she tries to protect their union at all costs but it's hard when you carry that responsibility on your shoulders, and I just want her to take care of herself too."
To say that Kim Kardashian has a lot on her plate these days would be putting it very, very mildly.
The mother of four recently filed for divorce from Kanye West; the reality show that helped make her a household name is airing its final episodes, and her Skims shapewear line recently made her an official billionaire.
And on top of all of that, Kim is trying to become a lawyer.
Yes, despite the fact that her career has made her a member of the ultra-exclusive "10-figure net worth" club, Kim isn't resting on her laurels.
In fact, with Keeping Up with the Kardasians coming to an end, Kim is laser-focused on launching the second phase of her global takeover.
But this time, she's focused less on making herself and her family rich, and more on making the world a better place.
During the previous administration, Kim worked with Donald Trump to free non-violent drug offenders who were serving life sentences in federal prisons.
The experience inspired her to take a greater interest in our nation's widely-criticized criminal justice system.
Eventually, she decided to take advantage of a loophole in California state law that allows aspiring lawyers to take the bar exam after a four-year internship with a law firm, as opposed to the usual three years of law school.
Unfortunately, it seems Kim has suffered a major setback in her fledgling legal career.
As she'll reveal on tonight's episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim did not pass the so-called "baby bar exam," which she was required to take following the first year of her internship.
"So you guys, I did not pass the baby bar," Kim tells her sisters.
In a confessional segment, she elaborates on what exactly that means:
"If you are doing law school the way I'm doing it, it is a four-year program instead of your typical three-year program," Kim says.
"And after year one, you have to take the baby bar. This would actually harder, I hear, than the official bar."
Despite the difficulty of the exam, Kim is extremely tough on herself for not passing it on her first try.
"I am a failure," she tells her sisters.
"I spent six weeks straight, 10 to 12 hours a day, studying and it was so important for me to take this. And to not pass gets your spirit down and just makes you want to give up."
Fortunately, Kourtney and Khloe are there to remind Kim that their late father, famed attorney Robert Kardashian, would commend her efforts, regardless of the outcome.
"I feel like dad would be really proud of you regardless, just the fact that you're pursuing this," Kourtney says.
"I think it's highly respectable what you're doing," Khloe agrees.
"I think the time that you get taken away from your family, your kids..."
"That's what pisses me off," Kim interjects.
"The fact that I spent all that time away from my kids, like I can't do it again. I don't have time. To do the next test is in November. And I'm filming the ending of our show, which will be so emotional," she continues.
"I have every birthday under the sun, you know, it's my birthday—my 40th—I planned this whole trip and it's too late to cancel. And if I fail again, it's like, what's the point?"
The episode was filmed in October of 2020, and Kourtney points out that Kim will be eligible to take the test again in June of 2021.
"I don't want to wait another year to go by for school," Kim responds.
"I feel like I just got to the end where I almost knew everything."
"I think if you take that year off, you're going to forget about it," Khloe points out by way of encouraging Kim to keep up her studies.
"I don't know, I really need to think about it," Kim tearfully replies.
The worst part of all of this is that it genuinely seems like Kim's heart is in the right place, and we believe that she wants to get this degree so that she can help make the world a better place.
Already, CNN's Van Jones has praised Kim's intellect and work ethic, and he's not alone in his belief that she has what it takes to be a skilled attorney.
"I think she's going to be an unbelievable attorney. She's already I think one of the best advocates that we have in criminal justice," Jones said during a recent interview with Ellen DeGeneres.
So will Kim take the test again next month?
Well, we're sure she'll keep her decision a secret until after the results are in.
But something tells us she'll have some positive news to report in the next few weeks!
Earlier this month, Travis Barker's ex claimed that she'd once caught Kim Kardashian boning him.
A tthe time, she was still married to Travis, so didn't love that.
It also makes it super awkward, since Travis and Kourtney are super horny for each other.
Except that Kim says that this totally isn't true.
Kim's public comment on the claim that she once boned family friend Travis Barker were prompted by a fan question.
“NO! False narrative!" Kim answered.
"We’ve been friends for years," she clarified, "and I’m so happy for him and Kourt."
Kourtney and Travis have also been friends for years.
But very recently, that relationship has changed.
In recent months, a family friendship has turned into what looks like a very steamy romance.
Shanna Moakler was Miss USA in 1995, and married Travis in 2004.
She has been furiously accusing Kourtney of "breaking" her family.
To hear her tell it, Kourtney effectively ruined her life and those of her children.
But Shanna recently insinuated that Kourtney was not the only Kardashian whose drum set Travis has played upon.
She claimed to have "caught" Travis having an "affair" with Kim back when they were married.
This would have been in the mid 2000s.
"My family is broken because of this family," Shanna recently griped.
"And now my kids and I are alienated from each other," she claimed.
Shanna added that this was "because of another sister in the family, so yay for me!"
Shanna then spat a "thanks for destroying my family."
So ... if Kim and Travis never boned, where did this come from?
Well, it came from Travis' old comments, admitted in a book of his.
Back in the day, he was hanging out with Paris Hilton when Kim and Paris were buddy-buddy.
Travis openly said that he liked hanging with Paris, but enjoys "curvy girls."
He came right out and admitted how openly he enjoyed looking at Kim's hourglass figure.
But that "admiration" was over a decade ago.
And no one other than Shanna and allegedly some of her friends seems to believe that anything came of it.
And Kourtney and Travis' actual relationship is a very recent thing.
Shanna seems to have a lot of anger towards Kourtney, but let's look at the facts.
Travis and Shanna married in 2004. Like, John Kerry was running for the Presidency during their wedding.
Just under two years later, after 22 months of marriage, Travis filed for divorce. In 2006.
Travis and Shanna had a very public airing of their strong emotions on social media.
And yes, that means that it was over Myspace, because Facebook at that time was exclusively for college students.
In early 2007, Travis and Shanna resolved to try to make it work, and were still married.
Travis and Shanna separated again, but were then seen kissing at the 2007 VMAs.
But before Valentine's Day on 2008, their divorce had been finalized.
In early 2009, they tried rekindling things but quickly realized that it was not going to work.
In late 2014, Travis and Shanna made criminal threats towards each other during a heated argument.
As a result, police were called to their home, and they both ended up being arrested, but not charged.
By 2016, they were said to be on relatively good terms as co-parents.
As for their kids, by the way? They're both teenagers.
Landon was born in 2003. He will turn 18 this year.
Just a few months later, Alabama will turn 16.
Travis has also dated others since his divorce (which, again, was finalized in 2008).
Some relationships have been public, including his brief relationship with Rita Ora.
(This was years before she was seen as what many have interpreted as a polycule with Tessa Thompson, Taika Waititi, and a mystery man)
It is absurd on its face to accuse any of the Kardashians of ruining or destroying this family.
There are people who have suffered, personally and financially, because of one or more Kardashians.
But it doesn't look like Travis and Shanna's relationship needed any outside interference. Shanna sounds bitter AF.
In recent years, Paris Hilton has tried to reform her image, claiming her public persona as what South Park dubbed a “stupid spoiled whore” was just an act and she’s actually intelligent and deep. I’m not sure I buy it. I’m sure she played up the stereotype somewhat, but I don’t think she’s an entirely different person at all.
Kim Kardashian used to do Paris Hilton’s hair and managed to get herself into the spotlight in much the same way as Hilton, with the release of a sex tape. Of course, Paris’s sex tape was leaked against her will and Kim let hers out publicly on her mother’s advice that it would be her big break, so… yeah.
Kim Kardashian has been trying to become a lawyer by reading the law, which essentially means taking an apprenticeship with a lawyer as opposed to going to law school. Somewhat unsurprisingly, E! reports it’s not going so well for Kim.
In an exclusive sneak peek at Thursday’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians episode on May 27, the mother of four makes a shocking announcement to sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian. “So you guys, I did not pass the baby bar,” Kim states.
Now, to be fair to Kim, this is not an easy test to pass, and the lawyer she’s apprenticing with said she did pretty well.
In a flashback, Kim’s mentor, attorney Jessica Jackson, explains that Kim needs a score of 560 to pass the first year law student exam; she got a 474 on her first try taking the test. “That is extremely close on a test that most people are not taking in the middle of a pandemic,” Jackson tells her.
Now, this isn’t the state bar exam, but I’ve heard only half the people who take that test pass it on the first try.
Kim seems to have worked really hard to pass and failed, and that’s okay, she can always try again.
And look, I think it’s great Kim wants to help the way she does, and her cause of fighting for justice for people who were wrongly convicted is actually a really good one. She doesn’t have to be a lawyer to help, though. I think maybe spokesman and fundraiser are more up her alley. She made nearly a billion dollars on a business that’s one step removed from dropshipping, she does have skills. Those skills don’t really involve knowing things, though. But she can still use her skills for good.

Kim Kardashian seems to have disagreed with a lot of what Donald Trump did as President, unlike her ex-husband Kanye West. Kim had famously asked Trump to grant clemency to certain death row inmates and he refused, presumably because killing potentially innocent people made him feel like a big man.
But Kim and Trump allegedly have one thing in common: not paying people who do work for them.
Page Six reports that Kardashian is being sued by a group of former household staff like gardeners and housekeepers over unpaid wages.
According to the suit, filed Monday in Los Angeles, the plaintiffs claim Kardashian, 40, was late with their pay, withheld 10 percent of their wages for taxes — and then didn’t forward those sums to the government — refused to pay them overtime, and sometimes forced them to work without meal breaks.
They claim they didn’t receive itemized pay stubs, and one 16-year-old ex-employee holds that he was made to work far past the 48 maximum allowable hours for an underage summer employee. Another claims that when he brought up overtime pay, the tax issue and meal breaks, he was immediately fired.
That sounds pretty bad and not at all like the person Kim claims to be publicly, and it doesn’t track with her work with The Innocence Project and her aspirations to become a lawyer to help the people who need help.
What Kim says, and what sounds both entirely reasonable and believable, is that she was never these people’s employer, but that they worked for a third party company that Kim hired to provide services and that company was responsible for paying them.
I actually find it more believable that the Kardashian-Wests hired a service for their household staff than that Kim and Kanye sat and interviewed gardeners. Can you imagine Kanye West trying to interview someone to be a maid? Seriously, just think about it for ten seconds.

In the wake of her divorce, it has been rumored that Kim Kardashian has quietly moved on.
A number of rumors claim that Kim is now dating Van Jones. Yes, CNN's Van Jones.
Some think that he's exactly who she needs. Others point out that he's kind of her boss.
Now, Van Jones is speaking about Kim -- and he has nothing but glowing praise for her.
On Monday, May 24, CNN host Van Jones appeared as a remote guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
The two spoke about many topics, from parenting to his important work for criminal justice reform.
But later, Ellen brought up Kim Kardashian.
Kim has been working as an apprentice at Van Jones' non-profit organization, Dream Corps JUSTICE.
“She’s doing amazing,” Van praised warmly.
And he noted that her work began years ago.
"I think she has used her platform to help people behind bars," Van pointed out.
"Her dad was a lawyer," he reminded everyone, in reference to the late Robert Kardashian.
"And," Van continued, "she always wanted to be a lawyer."
"Once she got a taste of what she could do using her platform," Van began.
He noted that she is now using her platform and "using her brain."
Since then, Van observed, ""she hasn’t let up."
"So I think she’s going to be an unbelievable attorney," Van Jones reasoned.
He also shared that he recognized how she has already begun to have a real impact.
He gushed: "She’s already I think one of the best advocates that we have in criminal justice."
Earlier this year, Kim revealed that she is halfway through law school.
It was already widely known that she was pursuing a legal degree and career.
But she had not initially divulged exactly how far she was into her more formal law school education.
"I have two years under my belt," Kim confirmed.
"I actually am not doing an essay," she shared, "and doing this interview instead."
"So I’m gonna have to get up really early tomorrow to write, like, a two-hour essay..." Kim admitted.
Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, she has faced obvious interruptions to her studies.
She characterized the work break as a "forced halt," but affirmed that there was no chance whatsoever that she was going to slow down.
"Even the work schedule, I would have worked non-stop," Kim shared.
"And," Kkim continued, "I would've done anything and everything at all hours."
She would have happily done so "and never taken into consideration just slowing down at all."
Kim characterized with a sigh that "this was a forced halt."
Kim's legal education and what may be an ominous prelude to a political run aside, what of Van Jones?
His praise is of Kim as a law student and an advocate for positive change in the criminal justice system.
But ... is there more to it? Could the two of them really be dating?
There has been no confirmation that Van and Kim's relationship is anything but professional.
His glowing review may be just that -- praise for a successful advocate who also happens to be a beautiful celebrity.
Right now, no one seems to know for sure. But most who hear the rumor don't think that it's a bad idea.
We are drawing closer and closer to the end of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
But the show has more surprises for us before this final season ends.
In this week's preview of next week's KUWTK, Kim has a grim revelation.
At least one of her children has tested positive COVID-19, and another is feeling sick.
The beginning of the Season 20, Episode 10 preview is simple enough.
It's all about milestones.
Kendall is turning 25 years old. Kris is turning 65.
Kendall was born November 3 and Kris was born November 5.
That gives us a very specific timeframe for when this particular scene was filmed.
Kim shared a sweet idea for the momager who has everything -- styling 65 looks for Kris.
There are also hints of Kim's birthday party being covered, as she turned 40 in October.
This, of course, was her infamous "secret" tropical getaway ... one that Kim announced on Twitter.
Given the harsh medical and economic realities of the pandemic, sharing this at that time was controversial at best.
Kim also refers to having taken the "baby bar," referring to a precursor to the Bar Exam.
It is the First Year Law Students Examination, often abbreviated to FYLSE.
Kim has spent 10 to 12 hours a day studying.
Parts of the preview are intended to make viewers feel that Kim is despondent after failing.
She is told over video chat that she needs a 560 to pass.
We are not told her score, but expect to find out next week.
Then, the preview gets to the truly serious part.
Kim is speaking about Saint, and it's not good news.
"Sainty just tested positive for COVID," she reveals.
Continuing the phone conversation, Kim adds some further unhappy news.
"And," she says, "North is saying she's feeling sick."
Sick doesn't mean COVID, but when one person in the house tested positive ... it's worrisome.
"I'm trying not to freak anyone out," Kim clarifies in a separate clip in the preview.
"But," the mother of four confesses, "I'm just really worried."
That is beyond understandable!
It is unclear when Saint tested positive, but we can look at the timeline.
The series concluded filming in January of 2021.
Kim's birthday was in October. Kris and Kendall had theirs in early November.
It's not clear how much time may have passed between that, the Baby Bar results, and Saint's test.
But clearly, at the absolute latest, this positive test was in early January.
At the absolute earliest, assuming that editing didn't majorly fudge things, it could be in October.
The most reasonable guess for the timeframe is probably mid-November, based upon reality TV logic.
We'd say that it could be later, but no mention of Thanksgiving?
Now, as for Saint's well being.
Presumably, he is just fine ... assuming that he had COVID-19 at all.
The COVID-19 tests are a new technology, and the rapid ones are riddled with inaccuracies.
The faster the test results, the more unreliable they are. That can be a real problem.
Too many times, we've heard of rich people parties where everyone took a rapid test that was basically meaningless.
Meanwhile, there were also cases of people getting false positives from those same tests.
(The actual COVID numbers come from doctors and hospitals and other healthcare professionals who can actually make a diagnosis)
It would be nice to think that Saint and North were both perfectly okay.
But it may be that one or both of them became sick during the pandemic.
Many of us have loved ones who had the virus. It can happen to anyone.
It's been three months since Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West.
And even though the exes have already agreed to a custody arrangement for their four children, with billions in assets to divide between them, Kim and Kanye are probably headed for a messy legal battle.
Actually, make that two messy legal battles ...
According to a new report from UK tabloid The Sun, Kim and Kanye may find themselves on the same team one last time.
That's because the pair is being sued by former staffers who claim they were mistreated.
And if the sources The Sun spoke with are telling the truth, we might be in for one final Kimye scandal.
The trouble began when Kanye launched his Sunday Service shows in Calabasas.
The project combined a concert with a lively Sunday mass, seemingly with the goal of making going to church cool again.
Tickets were notoriously tough to come by, so we suppose in a sense, it worked.
But the whole thing went awry when the folks who helped Kanye put together his big, Jesus-y extravaganza complained that they had been ripped off.
In what sounds like a storyline from The Righteous Gemstones, Kanye's choir members and altar boys complained that he had “mistreated workers” throughout the service's run.
Apparently, when word got out that Sunday Service crew were planning to sue, Kim and Kanye's domestic staff suddenly felt emboldened to do the same.
“Since members of his Sunday Service crew sued, other employees have been considering their options," one insider tells The Sun.
It seems it was Kim who was primarily in charge of the staff at casa de Kimye, so she's become the focus of possible legal action by maids, butlers, valets, nannies, and whoever else worked for her and 'Ye.
“There’s apparently a potential lawsuit in the works against Kim involving multiple employees," the source continues.
"They are believed to be domestic workers employed at her home who allegedly may have been misclassified as independent contractors instead of employees," the insider adds.
"If a lawsuit is filed, then one issue would be how much control Kim and her staff had over them.”
This situation is a bit more scandalous than your standard labor dispute, as Kim and Kanye are being accused of exploiting minors.
“If minors were employed and worked more than the maximum limit set by law, then there may be a case of child labor violations," the source claims.
Under normal circumstances, Kim and Kanye would probably reach a settlement with the plaintiffs just to make this mess go away.
But since they're not seeing eye to eye on much of anything these days, that might have a hard time deciding how best to handle this situation.
Whatever the case, this couldn't have happened at a worse time for Kim.
Insiders say she wants nothing more than to distance herself from Kanye and to focus on her kids and her burgeoning career as a lawyer.
This sounds like a major headache and a distraction, at a time when Kim already has a whole lot on her plate.
As you're probably aware by now, the relationship between Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian has become quite serious.
In fact, it's been widely rumored that Kourtney and Travis are planning a wedding and may be hoping to tie the knot as soon as this summer.
But while most folks seem to be rooting for Kourtney and Travis, the couple is experiencing a bit of pushback from their exes.
Put more precisely, it seems that Travis' ex-wife is actively working to bring his current relationship to an end.
Travis was married to Shanna Moakler for four years, and while the couple seemed to have an amicable co-parenting relationship during the 13 years since their split, these days, Shanna is openly critical of her ex.
At first, she complained about Kourtney and Travis' constant social Media PDAs, and fans were sympathetic.
After all, it's not hard to imagine why Shanna or Scott Disick might not be fans of Kourt and Travis' coupled-up pics.
But now, Shanna has escalated her attacks with a scandalous claim about her marriage to Travis -- and his relationship with the Kardashian family.
The latest drama began when Shanna and Travis' 15-year-old daughter Alabama shared a screen shot of a message that her mother sent to an unidentified Instagram user.
Shanna began by addressing rumors of trouble in her relationship with boyfriend Matthew Rondeau.
“Matthew has been my rock he truly has changed and has been amazing.. When we went life trip other night we were joking but lots of inside jokes I don’t think translated," Moakler wrote.
“I left Travis because he was emotionally abusive, I left the money snd mansions for a reason… family is all that matters but I can’t compete with kids whose father doesn’t encourage relationships with their own mother and purposely tries to alienate them away," she continued.
From there, the former model leveled a pair of shocking allegations against Travis:
“Travis controls Bamas social media… however I get blamed for her sexualition! How does a father allow her to act like that and do lives at 4am? With Men twice her age..” Shanna wrote.
“I’ve been legally bullied out… I’m fed up and I’m Exhausted.. Social media and the media isn’t real," she continued.
"I divorced Travis because I caught him having an affair with Kim! Now he’s in love with her sister.. It’s all gross… I’m not the bad guy!”
For obvious reasons, the claim that Travis had an affair with Kim has made tabloid headlines all over the world.
But Team Travis was quick to get in front of the rumors:
“Anyone who is close to them has always known that Travis has been in love with Kourtney for forever [not Kim],” an insider told Page Six.
“They are madly in love and best of friends. Everyone in their circle couldn’t be happier for them," the source continued.
“There is nothing weird or any drama here.”
Obviously, the insider remained unidentified, but given the decisive tone and obvious desire to put a stop to these reports, it's safe to assume that it was a representative of Barker's doing the talking.
As for the situation between Shanna and Alabama ... well, that remains complicated.
“Everybody thinks my mother is amazing,” Alabama wrote on her Instagram post.
“Matthew is nothing but awful to her. Not only that, but he cheats on her. My mom has never completely been in my life," the 15-year-old continued.
"Can you guys stop painting her out to be an amazing mom? Did your moms ask to see you on Mother’s Day [because] mine didn’t? I’m done keeping it a secret, reality shows.”
Shanna responded to her daughter's allegations when an Instagram commenter asked her if there's any accuracy to them.
“Completely ridiculous,” Moakler replied.
When a different commenter asked why Shanna's kids seem to spend so much more time with their dad, Shanna offered a reply that downplays the current drama:
“Because he lives behind two gates, has a mega mansion and is cooler than me,” she wrote
“LOL, we have shared custody but our kids are older. We are very close.”
Needless to say, Shanna and her daughter are offering two very different accounts of the situation.
Thus far, Travis and Kourtney have remained silent, likely in the hope that this situation will simply blow over.
But we get the feeling that Shanna's claims regarding Kim won't disappear as quickly as Travis and Kourt would like.
After winning the gold medal in the men’s decathlon at the 1976 Olympics, sportswriter Tony Kornheiser said of Caitlyn Jenner “He and wife, Chrystie, are so high up on the pedestal of American heroism, it would take a crane to get them down.” That crane has come in the form of Jenner’s own terrible ideas.
Jenner is running for Governor of California in that state’s wild recall election rules. Basically, there’s going to be a recall election election in California as enough voters have signed a petition to get it on the ballot. The way this process works is that voters will vote yes or no on if Governor Gavin Newsom should be recalled and also vote on who should be Governor if he is recalled. If the yes vote fails to get more than 50% of the vote, Newsom will remain Governor. If yes does get a majority, Newsom will be replaced as Governor by whoever gets the most votes. Newsom is not permitted to be on the second ballot because the threshold for winning is potentially much lower as hundreds of people will likely end up on that ballot.
Jenner’s campaign is going about as well as you’d expect the campaign of an athlete and reality TV star’s campaign for Governor of California in an off-year election to go.
Buckle up, buckaroo.
The opening salvo of her campaign has been typical Republican claptrap about Democrats being soft on crime straight out of the Ronald Reagan playbook from the last time people actually gave a s**t about Jenner. It ended with her getting owned by Congressman Ted Lieu.
Also, do you know how a bill becomes a law? Here is a cool Schoolhouse Rock video for you to educate yourself. https://t.co/E0hiH96QDw
Do you know what “veto” means? Or “budget”? https://t.co/wwfvQ5XM6I
— Ted Lieu (@tedlieu) April 25, 2021
This didn’t sit well with Jenner’s former daughter-in-law Kim Kardashian, who has devoted herself to improving our penal system and reducing the insane amount of incarceration in the US.
TMZ reports that Kim was “disappointed” and “disturbed” by Jenner’s comments, and that Kim supports Gavin Newsom and won’t endorse or vote for Jenner in the election.
Jenner actually could win this election. If the recall is successful, all Jenner would have to do would be get the most votes in the second question. With hundreds of people running, the threshold she needs to clear could be as low as 30% if just two other candidates have serious campaigns. Arnold Schwarzenegger became Governor through this exact process, though he received about 48% of the vote at the time.

Ever since we found out that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian were getting divorced, we all thought “oh, I guess Kanye finally pushed Kim over the edge with his antics.” All the stories we saw from the tabloids were “Kanye wants Kim back but she’s over it.”
Now Page Six is reporting Kanye is saying he’s the one who ended things and Kim is heartbroken because he’s a musical genius voice of his generation.
“Actually it was him saying for a year that they have nothing in common except the kids and he wanted out,” insisted the insider. “She pulled all the stops to try to save the marriage.”
The source added that he let her “file first in order to give her dignity.”
Does anyone believe this? Is anyone in the world hearing this and saying “Yeah, if I was a billionaire who is only famous for having a great ass you know what I would want? Kanye West around doing his whole Kanye West thing.”
There’s nothing you can get from being around Kanye West that you can’t get from listening to Kanye West’s albums. The old ones, before he got all Jesusey and went insane.
I don’t buy for a second that Kanye is the one who wanted to leave Kim. What was his complaint, she wasn’t supportive enough of him humiliating her in public? She didn’t vote for him for president?
The post Now Kanye West is Saying He’s the One Who Left Kim appeared first on The Blemish.
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s divorce appears to be going pretty smoothly. It’s strange to see Kanye West being an adult about anything, especially something where he’s not getting his way, but he has been surprisingly calm in public during the entire divorce, essentially agreeing with Kim on all the points of the divorce filing.
But Hollywood Life reports that while Kanye is putting up a brave face, he’s not all that pleased about the divorce.
“Kanye took his time because he was holding out hope that he could fix things,” a source close to the rapper revealed. “Clearly that’s not happening, and he’s finally accepted it. His inner circle urged him to hire a good lawyer and settle this once and for all and thankfully he finally listened to reason.”
It’s always good to have a lawyer, but since neither he nor Kim is disputing the terms of their prenup, it’s pretty smooth sailing.
“His main concern is getting equal rights to see his kids,” the source explained. “And since they are both on the same page with that, everyone is expecting it to be a fairly swift resolution.”
“This is not something Kanye wants,” the source continued. “If it were up to him this divorce would not be happening so taking this step was very painful for him. But he’s in a place of acceptance now, there’s really not any other option.”
You know, there was something Kanye could have done to avoid the divorce, and that’s to have been a better husband. I’m almost entirely sure the root cause of Kanye and Kim’s divorce is Kanye finding religion. Once he started Kim not to dress so sexy and then thought he was going to be President of the United States on his platform of “f**k the First Amendment, make kids pray in school,” it was pretty clear that the marriage wasn’t going to last.
Relationships are a partnership and they take work. And if one partner is raising the kids while the other is running around talking about how they almost aborted their first child and calling his mother-in-law’s parter “Calmye” (which admittedly was pretty funny), then it’s not going to work.

Were it not for the seminal (tee-hee, see what we did there?) cinematic masterpiece known as the Kim Kardashian sex tape, there would be no Kardashian media empire to speak of.
Thirteen years after the film's release, however, the infamous Ray J-produced romp has essentially spawned America's most famous family of fame-obsessed egomaniacs.
Yes, proving again that the Kard clan has far more staying power than its harshest critics feared, it's hard to keep up with their wealth.
In addition to the OGs, the younger sisters of Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe are raking in bank, and showing zero signs of slowing down.
And even with Keeping Up With the Kardashians coming to an end this year, the Kard clan empire shows no signs of slowing down.
How much cash are we talking about here?
Here's the net worth for each family member, which may surprise you, at least as far as who's on top of the Kardashian money pile.
But we begin with this underachiever ...
1. Rob Kardashian: Estimated Net Worth, $10 Million
2. Scott Disick: Estimated Net Worth, $40 Million
3. Kendall Jenner: Estimated Net Worth, $45 Million (and Rising)
4. A Financial Plan of Attack
5. Branching Out
6. Kourtney Kardashian: Estimated Net Worth, $50 Million
Kim Kardashian may soon be single.
But we can now officially be clear:
She will not be hurting for money.
Not even remotely.
On the verge of a divorce from Kanye West, the Instagram influencer may not have access to the rapper's bank account any longer -- but Forbes Magazine made it known this week.
She most definitely will be just fine on her own.
According to this famous publication, Kardashian is now with a billion dollars.
This is a massive increase from the $780 million she was worth when Forbes last checked in just a few months ago, in October 2020.
What accounts for this boost in wealth? For this nearly incomprehensible figure?
Kim's cosmetics line, KKW Beauty, along with her SKIMS apparel brand.
It certainly sounds as if Americans who have been stuck inside their homes amid the coronavirus pandemic have been surfing the Internet and ordering items from Kim's various lines to use and/or wear in their houses.
By Forbes' account, KKW Beauty was bringing in approximately $100 million annually since its launch in 2017 -- and when Kardashian sold 20% of her ownership stake in the company to beauty conglomerate Coty... she instantly made $200 million.
Forbes says the remaining 72% stake she still has in the company is worth around $500 million on its own.
Holy. Stacks. Of. Benjamins.
Then there's SKIMS.
While this brand has not disclosed its financials, per Forbes, the magazine still estimates her ownership stake at around $225 million.
This does not add up to $1 billion, we know.
But the rest of her cash sits in cash and other investments -- including real estate.
Since 2012, Forbes reports that Kardashian has been collecting at least $10 million a year (pre-tax) from her family's reality show, endorsement deals and other business ventures she's merely dipped her toes into over time.
All this, and her Ray J sex tape still brings in some bucks, too!
Two years ago, Kylie Jenner was also named a billionaire by Forbes.
There was quite a bit of controversy at the time because the outlet also dubbed Kylie the youngest "self-made" billionaire on the planet, which prompted the raising of many eyebrows across the globe.
We mean... is Kylie Jenner truly self-made?
Or did she ride the often-naked coattails of her older half-sister and/or her family name in general?
Kylie later clapped back against the hate and insisted she was self-made and was a billionaire and all critics can basically suck it.
"I’ve never asked for any title or tried to lie my way there EVER. Period," Kylie wrote after questions arose about her tax returns and whetherr she, technically, was part of the billionaire's club.
Kim, for her part, has made no such statement.
Nor has she faced any sort of criticism about her finances.
For all those wondering why she's been married and divorced three times, however, you can at least rest assured:
She isn't digging for any gold.
She hasn't been using these men for their money.
Say what you want about Kim Kardashian, but she knows how to make plenty on her own.
Someone close to Kim Kardashian has finally spoken out about the reality star's divorce from Kanye West.
Someone VERY close to Kim Kardashian.
Someone so close to Kim Kardashian that she's responsible for bringing the mother of four into the world.
Yes, we're talking about Kris Jenner.
While appearing on The Kyle & Jackie O Show on Thursday, March 18, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians matriach passed along her wishes to the couple as they go their separate ways.
As you might expect, Jenner focused on the children Kim and Kanye share and how this makes the break-up all the more emotional and challenging.
But it also gives the celebrities something to focus on as parents, even if they are no longer husband and wife.
"I think it's always going to be hard anytime...you know, there's a lot of kids," Kris said on air.
"The good thing about our family is that we are there for each other and supportive and we love each other very, very much so all I want is for those two kids to be happy.
"And I want the kids to be happy.
"That's the goal."
Added Jenner, remaining diplomatic and controversy-free in her response:
"I think we all want that for our families, just to be able to have the love and appreciation of one another, and that everyone's okay.
"That's what you want as a mom."
Not exactly earth-shattering, but Kris does represent the first member of the Jenner-Kardashian family to comment on this divorrce.
According to a previous report, Jenner made an effort to step in and try to help Kim and Kanye reconcile.
Because she feared that Kim ending her marriage might affect her brand, which would hurt Jenner's bank account as well.
"Kris and Kanye are truly butting heads," an insider has claimed to The Sun.
"They have had a very tumultuous relationship in the past and in the last year spoke very little, but now they are not only talking but they are fighting again."
Alas, it appears as if things truly are over between Kim and Kanye.
The former realized back during the latter's 2020 Presidential campaign that there was truly no reaching West; that he was a certified narcissist who would never put his family first.
And who was seemingly falling further and further into the deep end -- just as Kim was trying to change her life and dedicate it to causes that truly help the public good, such as prison reform.
The stars have simply grown far apart and want very different things at this point.
Back on February 19, Kardashian officially put an end to her romance by filing for divorce in Los Angeles.
The E! star cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.
She also requested joint legal and physical custody of the four children they share.
With the final season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians kicking off on March 18, Jenner was asked on Thursday the divorce will play out on the small screen.
"I don't know what they have decided on in the finale, we haven't even seen the first show yet," she alleged.
"I'm sure they're putting some final touches. But I think it's just a private time for them. Kim wanted to deal with this with her own family in her own time...
"When she feels like it, I'm sure she'll say what she needs to say."
Amid claims that Kim is hooking up with Drake (!!!!!!!!!!!!), neither Kardashian nor West have said anything themselves in public since their divorce filing went public.
"Kim thinks it's important that the kids have a relationship with their dad and that he is a big part of their lives," a source has explained to E! News.
"For now, the kids have primarily been with Kim and living at the house. Any time Kanye wants to see them, he can. She is not stopping him."
"Kim is not sure what the future will be like, but she has made it clear to Kanye that he is welcome to spend time with them whenever he wants."
We heard earlier this week that Kanye West wanted Kim Kardashian back, or, more specifically, that he expected her to come running back to him when she “realized what she was missing.” We know that’s not likely to be the case because, well, who would miss Kanye?
Apparently, if Kanye does want Kim back, he’s playing hard to get. In fact, he’s not even speaking to, according to Page Six.
The source said, “Even before Kim filed for divorce, Kanye changed his numbers and said, ‘You can contact me through my security.’ Despite this, she trusts him around the kids. He loves them and is seeing a lot of them. She leaves the house and he arrives and hangs out with the kids. They have an army of nannies so the transition is easy.”
It kind of sounds like Kanye is being a giant baby. I know, it’s shocking, right?
I don’t think that Kim is about to come crawling back to Kanye. I don’t know if he’s not speaking to her as a ploy, they say absence makes the heart grow fonder after all, or if he’s just hurt and not dealing with his pain in a healthy way. Considering he’s still wearing his wedding ring, I’m guessing the first choice is at least partially true.

I know I say this a lot, but Kanye West is so egotistical that it makes him delusional. He literally described himself as “one of the most powerful humans.” He might be the most conceited human, but his power level is definitely not over 9000 otherwise.
Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian recently filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, which we all took as code for “being Kanye West.” But according to Hollywood Life, Kanye has a plan to win his soon-to-be ex-wife over.
“Kanye honestly feels that he can get Kim back,” the source EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife. “There is so much strain thanks to so many obstacles with quarantine and both of them wanting to live in different parts of the country, to the kids and to his overall health. He is realistic and knows that co-parenting is the way forward since Kim has had enough, but he feels it can be used as a breather to where distance will make the heart grow fonder and she will realize what she is missing.”
Given the choice of being around Kanye West and being away from Kanye West, I don’t think that being around him would be the winner.
But I do have a plan for how Kanye can win back his wife. All he has to do is call Mr. Peabody and ask him to bring over the Wayback Machine and take him back to when he first thought Candice Owens had some good ideas and punch himself in the dick.
Failing that, Kanye should get used to being one of the world’s most powerful bachelors.

Kim Kardashian wants Britney Spears to know that she isn't alone.
Far from it, in fact.
In the wake of a documentary that has shed light on the way Britney was exploited, manipulated and generally mistreated during the height of her fame, Kardashian has shared a lengthy statement on Instagram.
"I finally watched the Britney Spears documentary this week and it made me feel a lot of empathy for her," the mother of four opened her series of social media posts late last week.
For those unaware, the film referenced here is available on Hulu and titled Framing Britney Spears.
It delves into the singer's mental health crisis and breakdown in 2008, which has led to her dad, Jamie Spears, being given control over all of Britney's financial decisions.
Despite the artist's best legal efforts, Britney has been unable to oust her father as the conservator of her estate.
"The way the media played a big role in her life the way it did can be very traumatizing and it can really break even the strongest person," continued Kardashian on Friday.
"No matter how public someone's life may seem, no one deserves to be treated with such cruelty or judgement for entertainment."
Alongside a collection of magazine covers (below) that targeted Kardashian and her figure, Kim added:
"Looking back at my own experiences, I remember a time when I felt this way."
"When I was pregnant with North I was suffering from preeclampsia, which made me swell uncontrollably," explained the 40-year old reality star.
"I gained 60lbs and delivered almost 6 weeks early and I cried every single day over what was happening to my body.
"Mainly from the pressures of being constantly compared to what society considered a healthy pregnant person should look like - as well as being compared to Shamu the Whale by the media.
"I was shamed on a weekly basis with cover stories that made my insecurities so painful I couldn't leave the house for months after. It really broke me."
All of this scrutiny took "a toll on her mentally," Kim admitted, prior to asking everyone out there to be "compassionate" towards Spears.
Concluded Kardashian on this important topic:
"You just never fully know what someone is going through behind the scenes and I've learned through my own experiences that it's always better to lead with kindness."
Britney has not said a whole lot about her ongoing plight, or the documentary that has once again ignited the #FreeBritney movement.
But she did share a recent photo with her teenage sons and close friend Billy Brasfield has assured The Sun that Spears is doing just fine.
"She is 100 percent optimistic and extremely capable and smart - and has a strategy and people need to respect that," Brasfield has told this publication.
“There are a lot of people thinking they know what’s best for Britney but she is a grown woman who is very capable."
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are trying to have a drama-free divorce, but considering it involves Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, that doesn’t seem likely.
For example, the former couple are going to “co-parent” their children. Now, this is a great idea in theory; even though you’re not romantic partners, you’re parenting partners and you work things out together.
You may have noticed the problem here. If not, basically the reason that Kim and Kanye are getting divorced is that Kanye is unwilling to compromise on the things he needs to compromise on to make a marriage work. You know, like not running a doomed presidential campaign at the last minute with no planning or political experience whatsoever.
People reports that Kanye and Kim are already having trouble deciding how to raise their kids.
“They have a different vision of the world and how their kids should be raised,” the source says for this week’s issue. “Kim will always support Kanye and his causes and encourage him with their kids, but her future with work, family and life in general are strictly up to her. She makes it happen.”
“Kim will continue with her projects and so will Kanye,” the source adds. “What they want in life and for their kids doesn’t always match.”
Now, the source doesn’t say what the cause of the disagreement is, but I would put money on religion being the issue here. As you know, Kanye has been a Christian for like, 20 minutes and it’s basically all he ever talks about. They do say converts to religions are the most likely to become radicalized.
Kim seems like she’d like to be a part of polite society while Kanye honestly thought he was going to be in Donald Trump’s cabinet. I’m sure that’s going to lead to some conflict.

There are a lot of theories as to why Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are getting divorced, but they all basically boil down to “It’s Kanye West, the shock is he managed to stay married this long.”
That’s pretty much going to be the correct answer. No one thinks this divorce is because of things Kim Kardashian did or said or difficulties she caused, even though this is her third divorce. Marrying Kanye West was the best thing Kim could have done for her image; she was not exactly well-regarded by the public in the past but pretty much everyone has taken her side in the Kanye West divorce.
Instyle reports the basic reason their marriage broke down was Kanye is stubborn.
“There is no drama between Kim and Kanye,” the source said. “Kim is mostly just disappointed that they couldn’t figure out how to stay married.”
“But it takes two people to create a happy marriage,” the source added. “Kim has felt Kanye is not willing to do the hard work and compromise.”
Boy, does that sound like Kanye or what?
You have to compromise to make a relationship work and Kanye West is not the compromising type. Remember we heard stories that when Kanye became religious he started telling Kim to be less sexy and whatnot?
Kanye makes big decisions and expects everyone around to make whatever he wants to happen. That’s probably great if you’re a musician; Van Halen famously wanted all the brown M&Ms removed from a bowl of M&Ms backstage at every venue they played at as a way to check and see if the venue was following the little details in their rider or if they’d have to recheck all the electrical and pyro so they didn’t get hurt. Eddie Van Halen never told Valerie Bertinelli to take the brown M&Ms out of a bowl of M&Ms for him, though, and Kanye seems like the type of person who would.

Well, it finally happened.
After months of social media rumors and reports from inside sources, Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce from Kanye West.
Even though the move was not unexpected, it raised a number of questions among fans of the couple.
The number one mystery of the moment seems to be why, after enduring so many years of Kanye's monstrous egotism and wildly erratic behavior, would Kim finally pull the plug on her third marriage?
For nearly seven years, she's demonstrated saint-like patience in her dealings with her famously volatile husband.
Over the past few months, however, that patience seemed to wane.
So what was the nail in the coffin for Kim and Kanye's marriage?
What prompted Kim to finally part ways with the father of her four children?
Well, to understand those questions, we need to examine Kanye's behavior in the last half of 2020.
It was already a strange year for the couple, as Kanye's presidential run attracted all the wrong types of media attention.
Whether it was a serious foray into the politcal arena or an ill-conceived publicity stunt, the campaign was undeniably a failure.
And that failure seems to have taken an emotional toll on the famously fragile West.
In July, long before he formally suspended his run for the White House, Kanye began to show signs of emotional strain.
It's unclear whether this was a consequence of the year's tense political climate or a symptom of the bipolar disorder with which West has struggled for several years.
Whatever the case, it seems to have increased the strain on his marriage.
In July, Kanye unleashed one of his signature Twitter tirades.
But this time, the target wasn't the music industry of the news media, but his wife and her family.
In a series of tweets that left even his harshest critics stunned, Kanye accused Kim of cheating on him with rapper Meek Mill.
He then turned his attention toward his in-laws, slut-shaming Kylie Jenner for posing in Playboy and referring to Kris Jenner as a white supremacist.
Many thought that would be the end, as it was difficult to imagine Kim giving her husband a second chance after such a vicious attack.
But amazingly, Kim continued to work on the marriage.
Just days after the tirade was posted, she flew to Wyoming, where Kanye was living in seclusion on his ranch.
She was photographed having a tearful conversation with her husband while both of them were seated in his car.
The next day, she returned to Los Angeles, alone, and still crying.
It's unclear if it was then that Kim decided to call it quits, but less than three months later, reliable outlets such as Page Six and TMZ began to report that the mother of four had made up her mind.
No doubt further details will emerge in the weeks to come, but those hoping for a messy divorce are likely to be disappointed.
Despite the fact that Kim and Kanye have billions in assets to divide between them, insiders say they've pledged to keep the split as civil as possible for the sake of their children.
For the same reason, we hope they're able to stick to that pledge -- but when Kanye's involved, you never know what might happen.
We'll have further updates on this developing story as more information becomes available.
