British Singer Rebecca Ferguson Will Accept An Invitation To Perform At Donald Trump’s Inauguration — On One BIG Condition!

Even though Donald Trump has had serious trouble filling out his inauguration roster of entertainment choices, it appears as though he's getting closer to being ready now a few weeks before the event.

The latest news regarding inauguration performances is centered on British singer Rebecca Ferguson, a former X Factor: UK contestant who revealed more on Monday about being asked to perform for The Donald in Washington, D.C. in a few weeks.

Ferguson herself spoke about the invitation on Monday, sharing a statement on Twitter that read, in full (below):

"I've been asked and this is my answer. If you allow me to sing ‘strange fruit' a song that has huge historical importance, a song that was blacklisted in the United States for being too controversial. A song that speaks to all the disregarded and down trodden black people in the United States. A song that is a reminder of how love is the only thing that will conquer all the hatred in this world, then I will graciously accept your invitation and see you in Washington."

Wow!!

Here's the full tweet (below):

For those who don't know, Strange Fruit is a song that was originally a poem -- written by Abel Meeropol -- that deals with lynchings of African-Americans in the 20th century in the United States.

It was first recorded as a song by Billie Holliday, and later also recorded by others, including Nina Simone.

Here's Holliday singing it (below):

Powerful!!

Good for Ferguson for standing her ground on that statement -- something tells us her words here make it doubtful that she'll actually be performing at the inauguration, after all.

No word yet from the Trump camp on this, or any other inauguration performers.

For what it's worth, Trump himself is tweeting about nuclear war this Monday afternoon (below):

Uh-oh.

Well, at least Ferguson took a stand!!

Madonna Pays Tribute To Victims of the Paris Terror Attacks

On Friday, the whole world mourned for the victims of the brutal coordinated terrorist attack on Paris. The hashtag #PrayForParis circulated on social media, in a slight effort to describe and express the grief so many people felt. Despite its polarizing nature, the instinct to pray for Paris was echoed by Madonna, during her Stockholm show on Saturday night.

How do we sensitively express shock, grief, fear, sympathy, and solidarity? For Madonna, that way was to give a stripped-down performance of “Like A Prayer,” and to give an emotional speech about celebrating life, even as we mourn those who died.

Madonna prefaced her performance of the song with some thoughts about why the crowd was assembled together, having fun, while the rest of the world was in mourning. She said she was going to cancel the show, before having decided against it as a form of protest.

“It’s been very hard for me to get through this show up to this point. So I need to take this moment to acknowledge the tragedy, the tragic killings, assassinations, and the senseless endings of precious life that occurred last night in Paris. Why am I up here dancing and having fun when people are crying over the loss of their loved ones?”

Madonna broke down during this speech, as tears filled her eyes at the thought of so much senseless and brutal loss of life. But even though the terror attacks could not be ignored at the venue, Madonna asserted that to cancel the show would be satisfying to the terrorists.

“That is exactly what these people want to do. They want to shut us up. They want to silence us. And we won’t let them. We will never let them! Because there is power in unity and I do believe that as much chaos and pain and senseless violence and terrorism that occurs around this world—not just in Paris—as much as that does occur, there is more goodness in this world. We are here to prove it.”

She continued through her tears, asking the audience for a moment of silence to honor the victims and to reflect on the state of the world.

“Before we do go one, I would like to have a moment of silence . . . say a prayer for the victims who died last night in Paris and for the families of those victims. So, here’s what I know how to do . . . I hope that you will all join me and we will sing this prayer together.”

Madonna then launched into what began as an acoustic version of her now-classic song “Like A Prayer,” echoing the sentiments of millions around the world who sent their prayers to Paris and expressed their grief through social media.

Idina Menzel Tackles ‘Let It Go’ on the 1989 Runway, With Taylor As Olaf [WATCH]

Instagram/@taylorswift

Taylor Swift did Halloween right, while also ushering in the holiday season. On Halloween night in Tampa, Florida, Taylor brought out a new buddy to her 1989 runway-esque stage, none other than Queen Elsa herself, Idina Menzel.

With Idina in an Elsa costume, Taylor could easily have opted for a cute Anna costume that would probably have come embellished with her now-signature sparkle. Instead, Taylor decided to do the Swiftian thing, and donned what can only be called a “Sexy Olaf” costume, which she ripped off mid-performance. This number was truly a sight to see.

A lucky concertgoer filmed a decent video of the entire performance, showing the impressive singing skills of both Idina and Taylor, the “quick costume change” that transformed Olaf into Taylor Swift, and the energy of the crowd singing along to the ubiquitous “Let It Go.” Watch the whole thing here:

Of course, Taylor Instagrammed highlights from the performance, before and after her Olaf-ness.

Frozen totally happened tonight. And 55,000 people sang ‘Let it Go’ so loudly, it nearly took my breath away. Good times, @idinamenzel ?

Sienna Miller Was Completely Cut Out Of Black Mass! Find Out Why Her Scenes With Johnny Depp Didn’t Make It HERE!

Don't expect to see Sienna Miller in the upcoming film Black Mass!

Even though director Scott Cooper said the actress was "fantastic" playing opposite Johnny Depp, she was completely cut out of the film due to "narrative choices" -- ouch!

The crime drama follows an unrecognizable Depp as Whitey Bulger, a Boston gangster who was sentenced to prison for after a 16 year manhunt!

Miller played one of Bulger's girlfriends while he was on the run, but Cooper thought those scenes were "less dramatic" -- so they landed on the cutting room floor!

Last year, the 33-year-old joked that her appearance in the film was really a "cameo," spending a mere two weeks on set. Small roles like this getting left out of the final edit is pretty common in the biz, so we're sure the Foxcatcher star isn't taking it personally!

Even with Miller's absence, the film still packs a ton of star power -- boasting a cast that includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Kevin Bacon, Dakota Johnson, Joel Edgerton and Corey Stoll!

Check out the cast (sans Sienna, LOLz) when Black Mass hits theaters September 18!
