Pink Just Sent the Most Inspiring Message of All at the VMAs

Pink didn't merely take home the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at last night's MTV VMAs.

Nor did she merely perform a medley of her most beloved singles.

The superstar solo artist stole the entire show with an acceptance speech that was raw, honest, inspiring and truly from the heart.

After being introduced by good friend Ellen DeGeneres. The 37-year-old pop star used her time at the microphone to share an empowering story about her six-year-old daughter, Willow.

And it all started because Willow told her mom she was "ugly" because she looked like a "boy."

Instead of getting angry, however, Pink responded to this problem by taking action.

She explains below how she compiled a PowerPoint presentation of "androgynous rock stars and artists that live their truth, are probably made fun of every day of their life, and carry on and wave their flag and inspire the rest of us."

Among those she selected and named: Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Annie Lennox, Prince, Janis Joplin, George Michael and Elton John.

"When people make fun of me, that's what they use,'" Pink said she told her child. "I look like a boy ... I have too many opinions ... My body is too strong."

She then asked her toddler:

"Do you see me growing my hair? ... Do you see me changing my body? ... Do you see me selling out arenas all over the world?"

The crowd rightfully applauded along as Pink ran through this series of questions.

"We don't change," Pink concluded. "We take gravel in a shell and we make a pearl, and we help other people to change. ... You, my darling girl, are beautiful and I love you."

Amazing.

"I am shooketh. I am dead. I am crying. She's iconic," said host Katy Perry after Pink wrapped up.

We absolutely agree.

Pink is Officially OBESE!

Pink, best known for being an amazing singer with an amazing attitude and amazing hair, has recently undergone a little bit of a transformation.

And she is now obese.

Pink Pregnancy on the Red Carpet Photo

For real.

But, as always, it's not exactly what you think.

Pink, who gave birth to her second child in late December, shared a new photo of herself in which she seems to be working out.

And in the caption of the photo, she gave her current weight, along with her height. And those stats together make her technically obese.

You can already tell this is going to be ridiculous, right?

Pink Workout Pic

So that's the picture of "obese" Pink. Before you pound your head against the nearest wall until all the madness stops, please just check out the wonderful message she added along with the pic.

"Would you believe I'm 160 pounds and 5'3?" she asked her followers. "By 'regular standards' that makes me obese."

"I know I'm not at my goal or anywhere near it after Baby 2," she admitted, "but dammit I don't feel obese."

"The only thing I'm feeling is myself."

There's the Pink we know and love!

She added a little piece of advice -- "Stay off that scale ladies!" -- along with the hashtags "feeling myself," "strong is my goal," "body goals," "get it in," and "GI Jane is my WCW."

Pink At The Premiere Of Alice Through The Looking Glass

And this is why this woman is a living legend, a role model for all, and really just the best.

Her followers agreed -- they were all living for Pink's message.

"You are strong and beautiful," one woman told her. "And you have two beautiful kids to go with that. Stay the beautiful person you are. I can only hope my kids will admire someone like you."

"It's obvious you're super toned and super light on insecurity!" another fan wrote.

"Looking fantastic," yet another said. "But I love the fact you keep things real -- it's bloody hard work to get back into shape for most of us."

Alecia Moore Photo

"You've probably made more than a million women feel good about themselves," one of her followers told her. "And I'm one. You look GREAT!"

And it's all true. So very, very true.

Pink looks so beautiful, just like always, and she's always inspired so many people. This latest sermon -- you know the woman is preaching here -- is no different.

Keep it up, Pink. Forever, preferably.

You're the best, girl.

Pink: Pregnant with Her Second Child!

Great news, everybody!

Really, just some much-needed, painfully adorable, really exciting news.

Pink is pregnant!

Pink's Second Pregnancy

And from the looks of this baby bump, she's really, really pregnant!

Pink made the announcement just a little while ago by sharing that precious photo to her Instagram page.

For the caption, she simply wrote "Surprise!"

This will be Pink's second child -- her first, of course, being five-year-old Willow, who you can see all cuddled up to Pink's bump in that darling pic.

Pink shares Willow (and will share this new little bundle of joy and love and sweetness) with husband Carey Hart.

Pink, Carey Hart Picture

It's pretty impressive how Pink managed to keep this pregnancy a secret for so long -- seriously, she's either in her third trimester or she's having twins.

But what's even more impressive is how strongly she feels about motherhood.

In an interview she did last year, Pink so beautifully explained how having Willow changed her life.

"I have lived a lot of life in a very short time," she explained, "and you get hardened a little bit -- you get jaded, you build up walls."

"And when you see this little kid, and you get to watch them through infancy to toddler to little person, it's amazing."

Aww, isn't it though?

Pink and Daughter

"You see how you were," Pink went on.

"When you watch this bundle full of love and light that's untarnished and untainted by heartache and any of the numerous things that change you, it's very healing."

"It's a miracle."

Oh, Pink, honey, you're a miracle, too.

So Very Pink

And if you needed any more proof of that, then just check out the amazing message Pink shared after Donald Trump won the election.

(You don't think anybody's done mourning that win anytime soon, do you?)

"To all of MY PEOPLE," she wrote, "and by my people I mean INTELLIGENT HUMANS OF ALL COLORS AND GENDERS AND RELIGIOUS BELIEFS."

"Today is a sad day. However LOVE STILL TRUMPS HATE AND WE ARE CITIZENS OF A WORLD THAT NEEDS OUR BEAUTY, DIVERSITY AND SENSE."

"I don't live in a Trump world, a world of hate and entitlement. I live in a world of COLORS AND LOVE. No one takes that away from me."

Alecia Moore Photo

"Let's not let their hate infect us more than it already has," she finished. "Sometimes losers win."

Ain't that the truth?

Another truth: Pink is and will continue to be just the coolest, most glorious celebrity mom.

Pink Says Her Daughter Hates Her Singing: ‘I’m Like, “I Had a No. 1 Hit When You Were in My Belly” ‘

Pink is a three-time Grammy winner, but that doesn’t mean she’s without critics – even in her own family.

The “Just Like Fire” singer told Good Morning America Wednesday that her daughter Willow Sage, 4½, isn’t a fan of her singing.

“She finds my singing distracting,” Pink says. “When she was 2, she was, ‘Shh, Mama, terrible voice.’ ”

Pink
ABC News

Pink didn’t take the critique lightly: “First of all, who taught you the word ‘terrible?’ I’m like, ‘I had a No. 1 when you were in my belly!’ ”

It seems, however, Willow has grown to love her mother’s talent – she even appeared in the star’s “Just Like Fire” music video.

“I know everybody with kids says this — that their kid is their barometer of cool — but Willow tells me which songs of mine she likes and the way she does that is she just starts singing them after one listen,” Pink, 36, previously told PEOPLE.

The star told Good Morning America that she loves being a mother, noting, “I made a choice a long time ago that I was going to have a successful family and that is my absolute No. 1 goal in life.”

How Much Is Too Much? Moms Talk About Screen Time

And is she hoping to grow that family? Maybe.

“I feel like I have two kids right now, I would like a third,” she jokes. “No, I want to say that Carey Hart is an awesome husband and a really good dad, but also like a second child.”

Pink notes that she’s even “absolutely” open to adoption or whatever life brings.

Ariel Winter Continues To Defend Kim Kardashian’s Nude Selfie In The Name Of ‘Body Positivity’!

Girl power!

On Thursday, Ariel Winter defended Kim Kardashian West's controversial nude selfie while stopping by the Kyle and Jackie O Show. Fierce!

As you may remember, the Modern Family actress jumped to the KUWTK starlet's defense when she saw that Kimmy Kakes was taking some heat for posting a seXXXy nude from back in the day.

Related: Chloë Grace Moretz Turned Down Taylor Swift's Squad

The 18-year-old dished:

"I think she's promoting body positivity. You know, young girls being able to express that they don't have a stick-thin body – they're curvy."

Well said! Miz Winter went on to commend Kanye West's wife for being so comfortable in her own skin and for setting that precedent as an example for girls of ALL body types.

She continued:

"Stick-thin bodies are amazing, you know, those girls are amazing too but I think that everybody's body would be celebrated no matter what it is and I think that it's great that she's so comfortable with herself and that she's able to post out there what she wants to and post and if she wants to post a nude selfie, she can."

That's very fair. Although, we have a feeling Bette Midler, Pink, and Chloë Grace Moretz will probably disagree with Ariel since they all voiced their disdain for the snap.

Nonetheless, the up-and-comer went on to call out the industry for their double standards as men are able to post half-naked pics online without being reprimanded. She concluded:

"We're not able to do the exact same thing and I think it's really upsetting to be in an industry where that's happening, so I really decided to stand up for her because I thought it was so ridiculous. If somebody doesn't like the post, they can unfollow them. There's no reason to go on and publicly bash them and I think, you know, she's promoting body positivity instead of being a bad role model."

What do YOU think? Have you, like Ariel, sided with #TeamKim on this matter?

How Pink’s ‘Uninhibited’ Daughter Inspired Her New Track for Alice Through the Looking Glass

Pink Alice Through the Looking Glass
Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty

When Disney approached Pink to pen a track for its upcoming Alice Through the Looking Glass, she was happy to give it a “Try.”

The Grammy winner watched an early screening of the Lewis Carroll adaptation with her daughter Willow Sage, 4½.

“I know everybody with kids says this — that their kids is their barometer of cool — but Willow tells me which songs of mine she likes and the way she does that is she just starts singing them after one listen,” Pink, 36, tells PEOPLE exclusively.

“So when we watched Alice, she was like, ‘Can we watch it again?’ ”

Understandably, Willow has proved to be a muse for the project.

“She is my inspiration for everything,” says the singer. “I think of little girls like her when I’m doing something like this because I want it to be fun. I think of that spirit Willow has, where she’s totally uninhibited and wants to dance around naked, and that’s how I go into the song.”

The movie doesn’t hit theaters until May 27, so the new track won’t drop for a while, but the pop star will surely win some cool-mom points for her addition to the Disney canon.

“I have a 4½-year-old little girl, so Disney is probably at the top of my list in my life. We’ve been to Disneyland. We love Princess and the Frog. Princess Tiana is our hero: She wanted to be a chef and save up all her money and work hard to have a restaurant, so we’re into that,” says Pink.

And the mom — married to motocross star Carey Hart, 40 — is very conscious of the entertainment and media her daughter consumes.

“What’s awesome about Alice is the whole theme, from the start of the movie, is: Girls can do it, too. She’s the captain of her own ship, but it takes her femaleness to be that fierce, so that’s another great [message] for our house,” explains Pink. “I try to keep Willow as empowered as possible.”

Pink: How Motherhood Healed Me

By adding a baby to her real-life “Family Portrait,” Pink got a whole new lease on life.

“I have lived a lot of life in a very short time, and you get hardened a little bit — you get jaded, you build up walls. And when you see this little kid, and you get to watch them through infancy to toddler to little person, it’s amazing,” says the singer, who opens up about her UNICEF ambassadorship appointment in this week’s issue of PEOPLE.

Pink and her husband Carey Hart are parents to 4-year-old daughter Willow Sage.

“You see how you were. When you watch this bundle full of love and light that’s untarnished and untainted by heartache and any of the numerous things that change you, it’s very healing. It’s a miracle,” adds the star, 36.

While the new UNICEF ambassador is working to battle malnourishment and advocate for healthy lifestyles across the globe with the organization’s new Kid Power initiative, at home, she’s fostering a philanthropic spirit in her daughter, too.

“I want her to be a global citizen. She’s very aware of the fact that not everybody has a bed to sleep in at night and food on their table and coats on their back. It’s hard for her to understand. I want her to be 4, you know? I don’t want to give her anxiety issues,” says Pink.

And despite her daughter’s young age, she’s still learning how to give back. Adds the Grammy winner: “We donate. When one new toy comes in, eight go out. And she loves being in charge of that. She loves looking around and going, ‘Okay, I’m ready to give this one up, Mama.’ ”

Demi Lovato Defends Herself Against Perceived Pink Diss

Move over, Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus.

We may have a new feud coming out of the MTV Video Music Awards. Sort of.

Demi Lovato on Jimmy Kimmel Live
Pink in Australia

Following Sunday night’s broadcast, Pink jumped on Instagram and made it clear she isn’t a big fan of most who took to the stage at the event.

"I felt embarrassed and sad. And old. We're getting old," Pink told followers.

"I felt sad because music is supposed to inspire. It saved my life. This trash won't save any kids life. In a world that is even scarier and with lives still worth saving, who will stand up and have soul?"

The artist then went on to single out those performances she appreciated... and, by extension, those she did not.

"Beside Macklemore and pharel and bieber (pre sob fest) and the weekend, Tori Kelly was dope too," Pink wrote. "The rest was gross and embarrassing and hard for this aging pop star to believe."

The rest, of course, included Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj and Demi Lovato.

And Lovato took exception to any charges of being uninspiring.

"Cool For The Summer may not "save kid's lives" or "inspire" but I'd say Skyscraper & Warrior have done a pretty good job of helping people cope with mental illness," Lovato Tweeted in response to Pink's critique, adding:

"VMA's are sexy and fun. There's a time and place for everything."

Lovato, of course, spent weeks in rehab back in 2010 and has dedicated herself since to empowering others who suffer from a lack of self-confidence.

So it's understandable why she'd be upset.

But Pink said she was not singling Demi out in any way.

"Please look for a feud elsewhere. I have no issue with Demi Lovato or anyone else," she wrote online Thursday.

"I actually forgot she performed. I have opinions. MANY. I stand by what I said. However, I didn't intend for the angry people of the world to latch on and make it into something it isn't."

Perhaps then realizing that she'll never win any kind of battle over social media, Pink concluded:

"In other news, it's gonna be a beautiful day, I hope you look up from your keyboards and enjoy it."

Let These Colors Serve as Your Fall Fashion Inspiration

If you’re ever unsure of the season, simply take a look around you. As human beings, we tend to dress seasonally. If you see an array of neons, it most likely is summertime. As for pastels, these are evocative of spring. Winter brings out darker colors and neutrals, whereas fall is an in-between time. It is the time when summer melts into winter, when the leaves change and Mother Nature prepares for snow. Because of this, we often see colors that are reminiscent of such changes: the red and yellow of the leaves, the green of the grass, and the deep purple of the flower buds.

To prepare your wardrobe for autumn, let’s take a look at some of these colors. Some are classic, some are not. Even something as simple as a color can capture the essence of an entire season. Let these colors guide your fall fashion inspiration.

Burgundy

When I think of burgundy, I think of the leaves. I picture a small leaf on a branch, waiting for the moment where it’s about to fall upon the ground. Burgundy, in my mind, is quite a romantic color. It can be used as a pop of color, or as a color that you layer. It’s versatile, yet it stands out.

jcrew.com

When I look at the pants above, I can see them paired with a variety of tops. You can throw on a white t-shirt and some brown loafers. If you’re going to work, pair it with a white blouse and blue blazer. Since they are tweed, you can even continue to wear them in the winter because the wool will keep you warm.

freepeople.com

Confession: I’ve fallen in love with these boots. Since I am currently trying to simplify my wardrobe, I am looking for pieces that serve as pops of color. These boots are pricey, but they do the trick. I would wear them with some tan jeggings and an oversized sweater, just so that the boots would be the outfit’s focal point. They are the perfect depiction of the color burgundy.

Emerald Green

When I think of fall, I don’t typically think of emerald green (even though it is my favorite color). But, when you truly look at it, it acts as an essential jewel tone for this season. It is unexpected, but blends in perfectly with all of the other rich, earthy tones that are evocative of fall.

forever21.com

This t-shirt is perfect for layering (and it’s only $3.90!). You can layer it with a cardigan, blazer, and even with some gold accessories. Overall, this vivid tone emphasizes any outfit and takes it to the next level. Even though it is quite casual, it can easily be dressed up – thanks to the opulence of emerald green.

etsy.com

If you don’t want to go all out with this color, but instead want to add just a hint of it, this bracelet is a flawless accessory. It will compliment any outfit, while still making you feel fall-like. The gold tone also plays upon this seasonal trend, helping to bring [...]

Kylie Jenner Is Blonde Now: A Look Back At Her Hair Transformations

On this, the most important of days, Kylie Jenner turns 18. So hopefully now everyone can stop telling her she’s too grown up and shouldn’t be getting lip injections/moving out/having hella cars/dating an older man. It’s not going to happen, but a fan can dream.

Kylie and her sisters veritably blew up Instagram over the weekend in preparation for their littlest one’s passage into adulthood, and one photo in particular stood out to me:

The photo of Kylie’s friends includes none other than her father, Caitlyn Jenner, with the adorable caption “MY GIRLS.” Now, I could write an article or two about how amazing and cute it is that Kylie includes her father in a #GalSquad pic and how accepting she is as an adolescent mega-star, but this photo is also awesome for one other reason: Kylie’s impeccable blonde hair.

We know Kylie as the queen (kueen?) of changing up her locks, but this look may take the cake. She told us that she wanted to go platinum even before her older sister Kim tried out the look for this year’s Paris Fashion Week, and it looks like she made her first adult dream come true. She looks fantastic. Let’s take a closer look at this, and all Kylie’s other hair-transformations.

The Iconic Blue Hair

A photo posted by King Kylie (@kyliejenner) on Sep 4, 2014 at 2:20pm PDT

Kim hated this look when Kylie had it as a bridesmaid in her lavish wedding to Kanye, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t iconic and an instant trend. Kylie cut off all her hair and dyed the ends a springy turquoise, and then launched a hair line around it.

Coachella Wigs

A photo posted by King Kylie (@kyliejenner) on Apr 17, 2015 at 7:27pm PDT

People were like, “Y Kylie wear caps?” It’s because she wore these wigs to Coachella and wanted to hide the hairline. Kylie went baby pink for the music festival and totally rocked it. She also went bright blue, making each day of Coachella a debut day for a new ‘do.

Ice Gray Cornrows

A photo posted by King Kylie (@kyliejenner) on Apr 18, 2015 at 4:22pm PDT

Yet another #COACHELLA look, Kylie wore a black and lace body suit and did up her black hair with gray cornrows. It was a bit of a head-scratcher of a look, but if anyone can pull it off, it’s Kyles.

Gray Ombre

The gray trend was a major thing this year, and Kylie’s ombre did the trend major justice. It was streaks of gray set into her jet-black hair, and made Medusa look cool again.
