Who can take a sunrise, sprinkle it with dew? Cover it in chocolate and a miracle or two? The Today Show can.
Today, several cast members from the wildly popular Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory reunited on The Today Show, reminiscing about their experience filming the now-iconic movie 44 years ago, and even getting another golden ticket!
Among the cast members who appeared on the show were Julie Dawn Cole/Veruca Salt, Peter Ostrum/Charlie Bucket, Michael Bollner/Augustus Gloop, Paris Themmen/Mike Teevee, Denise Nickerson/Violet Beauregard, and Rusty Goffe as everyone’s favorite cartwheeling Oompa Loompa. If you want to view paradise, simply click the video above and view it…
And what’s remarkable and sort of heartwarming is that the five kids who won their ticket inside the chocolate factory all keep in touch. “We think of ourselves as a family,” said Peter Ostrum. “Maybe a dysfunctional family,” he added.
The members of the cast were asked which character was least like themselves (Veruca) and which actor took the most takes to get a scene right (Goffe). They were also each given Wonka bars with golden tickets wrapped inside—tickets that held questions for them to answer.
Each cast member immediately replied “yes” when they were asked if they’d choose to do it all over again. They unanimously agreed that they had the time of their lives on set, and that they were the “lucky ones” who got to experience the land of candy in person—even if the chocolate river wasn’t real!
Julie Dawn Cole even spoke about the lasting legacy the film left in our hearts, and has said that she meets people all the time who are overjoyed to learn who she is.
“We call it the Wonka Effect, when things are a little bit grim, [when we meet people and they find out who we are,] their face lights up.”
Thank you once again to The Today Show, for orchestrating yet another amazing cast reunion so that we can all have our heaping helping of nostalgia today.

After everything that has happened, Scott Disick is still looking forward to a bright future with the eldest Kardashian sister!
“Scott is confident that he can get Kourtney Kardashian back after he finishes rehab. Whether it’s true or not remains to be seen,” a tattletale tells Hollywood Life exclusively.
Quick recap: Scotty was recently admitted to rehab after months of heavy partying and trysts with young girls. Is he finally beginning to man up?
On the other hand, the 36-year-old Kourtney “thinks he is a drunk mess and not fit to be a parent without supervision,” as told to People by a close source.
The ex-couple are parents to Mason (5), Penelope (3), and Reign (6 months), respectively.
More about ’em!
Whenever cast members reunite, fans of old movies and shows are thrilled to see them, eager to have them share memories from the old days, talk about their love for their castmates, and yes, reenact some of our favorite moments.
Good Morning America brought us another classic reunion moment, this time with a musical performance.
On October 10th, GMA brought together the cast of Aladdin, one of those childhood movies that are still very close to our hearts. On the show was Scott Weinger (Aladdin), Linda Larkin (Jasmine), Jonathan Freeman (Jafar) and Ron Clements and John Musker (co-writers and directors). But the true magic happened when Alan Menken, Disney’s Oscar-winning songwriter, sat down at the piano.
The musical voices for Aladdin and Jasmine, Brad Kane and Lea Salonga, took to the stage to sing one of our favorite songs, “A Whole New World,” and permit me to say that these two are every bit as mega talented as they were 23 years ago. Their performance was pitch perfect and as moving and breathtaking as the original.
Hearing and seeing the song performed with such emotion and precision over two decades after the movie premiered reminds us all how close Disney movies can get to our hearts. It’s that timelessness that makes Disney recreate its stories, whether for Broadway or the silver screen, and why we’re so anxious to keep living these stories in all of their forms.
Aladdin is on Broadway now, and a prequel live-action film is reportedly in the works, with Genie as its main protagonist. The film was likely document Genie’s journey into the lamp, and his adventures “ten thousand years” before meeting Aladdin.
After that, a live-action Aladdin is likely. In the meantime, we’ll have to keep re-watching the original movie, out on Diamond Edition now, and on Blu-Ray October 13th.

This is so Raven!
The former Disney child star had a That's So Raven reunion on Tuesday when Anneliese van der Pol, Orlando Brown, and Kyle Massey joined her on her ABC talk show!
This just makes us so nostalgic and we cannot wait to watch the episode when it airs!
Maybe this could mean a That's So Raven reboot in our future?!
Probably not, but we can still dream!

It’s been eight years since my favorite show Gilmore Girls officially went off the air. In that time, I’ve watched this show more times than I can count, and when the series came to Netflix last year, thousands of new fans joined the fold. Since I was about 10 years old, I’ve been visiting Stars Hollow via the magic box in my living room, and with the reunion that happened in June 2015 at the ATX Festival, the fan dream of a movie has never felt closer.
Still—so many of us are torn over where our favorite characters are now. I even disagree with the actors themselves when they talk about where their characters ended up. For me, these ten things absolutely need to happen if a movie does get made. Otherwise, I’ll just stick with memorizing the reruns.
10. Melissa McCarthy reprising her best role ever.
Melissa McCarthy needs to return to her best role as kooky chef Sookie St. James. I’m thinking the opening credits could take place right over Sookie spraining something in the kitchen of the Dragonfly Inn, just like old times!
9. Logan’s redemption
Sure—Logan was upset when Rory turned down his marriage proposal, but I don’t think he went back to his hard-partyin’, playboy ways. Nah, I think Rory really showed him the value of steady relationships and hard work. I think we’ll see Logan return from his successful startup in California with a fiancée on his arm, and Rory will be happy for him.
The final, seventh season of Gilmore Girls was not written by the original (and genius) Amy Sherman-Palladino or her husband Dan, so the movie will need to bring back that fast-paced, witty dialogue none of us understood until the third time watching. And that includes the actual actors, who needed to research all the references and take speech therapy.
7. Lane and Zack’s kids being totally awesome “roadies”
Hep Alien needs to keep rocking even though Lane and Zack had twin boys in the final season. I’m thinking they probably brought their kids on the road with them and on world tours, and the eight-year-old boys are helping their parents set up amps and wireless mikes and such.
6. Richard cannot have died
RIP Ed Herrmann. In the movie, I would hate to watch Emily Gilmore completely broken-hearted and lost after the death of her husband. As crazy/sad as it sounds, can they make it so that Richard is just traveling for work? We’ll always have him in our Gilmore-obsessed hearts!
5. Paris literally ruling the world as a combo surgeon/judge
Paris will need to be married to Doyle, who will be the editor of some fancy-schmancy newspaper in New York. Paris, on the other hand, will be squeezing the will to live out of lawyers and their clients, and on the weekends, she’ll save lives at New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she’ll be head of surgery. Or something.
4. Kirk being…Kirk. And marrying Lulu.
How cute would it be if the movie included the weirdest wedding ever? Kirk and Lulu [...]

So… is Zayn Malik back with the gang or not?
Well, 1D fans, he’s not, and actually, he finds the rumors really annoying.
“Zayn is a little miffed that everyone believes he’s going to end up back with 1D,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com.
“The speculation bothers him. He left the group because he couldn’t handle the high-profile that came with the band in the end, and he wants to get away from all that.”
The gossip spread like wildfire when Zayn’s bio was put back up on their official website, followed by the deletion of the departure announcement on their Facebook page.
Never misread again, peeps!
