All the Riskiest Looks at the 2021 Met Gala, From Kim Petras’ “Horse Girl” Look to Iman’s Golden CrownIman, Kim Petras and Dan Levy really said "I pledge allegiance" to fashion. The stars did not hold back for the 2021 Met Gala, donning their most fabulously outrageous designer...
For the record, Nicki Minaj is not a doctor.
She is not a scientist.
But has no medical background or expertise of any kind, but, hey... she knows someone who can't get an erection any longer and she thinks it may be because the guy took the COVID-19 vaccine!
It also may be because he has an STD.
On Monday evening, Minaj Tweeted the following:
My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding.
So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied.
There is, of course, no evidence that any of the Covid vaccines can produce these side effects.
It is far, far, far, far, far, FAR more likely that this random individual has a sexually transmitted disease or maybe even testicular cancer and the singer is spreading some dangerous information by implying otherwise.
Butt this was merely the start of Nicki's journey down a dark and misguided road today when it comes to the vaccine.
Minaj, you see, it NOT attending the 2021 MET Gala in New York City because the event has required all attendees to be vaccinated.
"I have an infant with no nannies during COVID. who mad? Not risking his health to be seen. One yaself," Tweeted Minaj as an explanation of her absence, which would have been fine if she had just stopped right there.
You want to be extra careful for the sake of your unvaccinated infant?
Avoid crowds, for sure. Especially crowds at some swanky fashion event that only exists for celebrities to show off how much they can spend on ridiculous ensembles.
After another fan posted that he didn't want Nicki to "risk catching" Covid at the Gala, the performer replied:
"Love u babe. I was prepping for vmas then i shot a video & guess who got COVID? Do u know what it is not to be able to kiss or hold your tiny baby for over a week?
"A baby who is only used to his mama?"
One might think that Minaj catching Covid would inspire her to get the vaccine -- but one would would be mistaken apparently.
"They want you to get vaccinated for the Met," Minaj added.
"if I get vaccinated it won't [be] for the Met. It'll be once I feel I've done enough research. I'm working on that now.
"In the meantime my loves, be safe. Wear the mask with 2 strings that grips your head & face. Not that loose one."
Thankfully, as you can see, Minaj is at least encouraging strict mask usage.
However, a large number of her followers couldn't help but wonder what sort of research she's doing when the vaccine is FDA-approved.
It sure sounds like Nicki's research consists of talking to people in Trinidad and Tobago... who pass along vague information about strangers that have nothing to do with getting any sort of shot.
On Twitter, numerous doctors have reached out to Minaj and offered to pass along legitimate advice.
"Nicki I love you to death, but you were wrong," wrote one fan, who added in straightforward and accurate terms:
"The vaccine absolutely significantly reduces the chances of hospitalization and serious illness.
"Please I beg, let's stay educated on this topic and trust the scientists and doctor who have worked tirelessly to help us end this."
Sounds like great advice to us.
Will Nicki Minaj take it, though? Or at least stop using her platform to speak negatively about the safest and most effective way to end this pandemic once and for all?
Sadly, we doubt it.
She doesn't seem to have the best judgment.
Patrick Mahomes has never lost in September, Cleveland has won not an opener in nearly two decades
Sunday’s Browns at Chiefs game had, as of Friday afternoon, the highest over/under on Sports Betting App NFL board at 54.5.
Patrick Mahomes and that Kansas City offense tends to inflate the total more than any other team, but Cleveland will tell you not to be so hasty to hammer the over. The Browns took a step up the respectability ladder last year, and think their rebuilt defense will help them climb another rung.
Cleveland will have at least seven new starters on that side of the ball from a year ago when their season ended in a divisional playoff loss to the Chiefs. The score was 22-17, but KC would have rung up more points if not for losing Mahomes in the third quarter to a concussion.
Jadeveon Clowney is the most notable addition. He’ll team with Myles Garrett to form a potent pair of edge rushers.
“The pass rush is one of the things we’ve noticed,” Cleveland wide receiver Jarvis Landry said of his defensive teammates.
Linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. also has been a revelation, Landry said ahead of Sunday’s game (4:25 p.m. ET, CBS-TV).
“Just his responsibilities, how he’s getting guys lined up, moved around, [we] just seem a lot more smarter, disciplined,: Landry said.
The Browns are 0-15-1 in season openers since 2005, a run that includes a 4-12 mark against the spread. Meanwhile, Kansas City has won six consecutive season openers and has rebuilt the offensive line that looked so putrid in the Super Bowl.
The pick: Hope it works out for Cleveland, but Kansas City has won 14 in a row in September — including the last 10 since Mahomes became the QB. We’ll stay away from the over/under and take the Chiefs -6. Place your bets with $200 free on the Sports Betting App.
Other top games:
Green Bay vs. New Orleans (Sunday, 4:25 p.m., Fox): The Saints opened as slight favorites when lines first came out in the spring. With the game moved from New Orleans to Jacksonville, the Packers are 3.5-point favorites. Pick: Hate laying that extra hook (3.5 points), but taking Green Bay.
Chicago at L.A. Rams (Sunday, 8:20 p.m., NBC): Two veteran quarterbacks making debuts with their new clubs. Andy Dalton is in Chicago trying to hold off rookie Justin Fields from taking his job. Matthew Stafford is in L.A. trying to prove that head coach Sean McVayisn’t overrated. Pick: Over 5.5 receptions for Cooper Kupp of the Rams.
Baltimore at Las Vegas (Monday, 8:15 p.m., ESPN): The Ravens, which are laying 4, have won their last four season openers by scores of 20-0, 47-3, 59-10 and last year 38-6 over a pretty good Cleveland team. Pick: Baltimore be fine covering here.
NFL season record: 0-1.
He said it
“Used to go to Vegas to do this. “This saves us a lot of money, time and fuel to do it here.”
— Arizona resident Emil Stefan told the Associated Press after his state on Thursday became the latest to offer legal sports action.
Wait’ll he discovers the apps.
Saturday’s top games
Oregon at Ohio State (12 p.m., Fox): Even if he plays, how effective will Oregon star defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux be? More importantly, how will the Ducks’ collective body clocks function with the early start. Ohio State’s laying 14.5, but we’ll pass on making a pick.
Iowa at Iowa State (4:30 p.m., ABC): This will be the 68th meeting, but first when each team has been ranked. Kinda pathetic, actually. Iowa State is -4.5 with the over/under at 46.5. Pick: Both teams are solid defensively. Iowa has won the last two. In 2019, the score was 18-17. The year before it was 13-3. Taking the under.
College season record: 2-3-1.
This & That
The fascinating AL wildcard race got even more intriguing when Red Sox ace Chris Salewas scratched from Sunday’s start after testing positive for COVID-19. Boston entered Friday up 1 game on the Yankees, 1.5 on the Blue Jays and two on Seattle and Oakland.
Toronto completed a 4-game sweep of the Yankees and had won 10 of 11, a streak that nicely coincided with books becoming legal in Canada. Toronto’s odds at BetMGM were down to 15-1 to win the AL pennant, 30-1 to win their first World Series since Joe Carter’s historic home run in 1993.
The Yankees (9-2 to win the AL) should find out about their star pitcher, Gerrit Cole and his balky hamstring, this weekend.
Sportsbooks generally had a strong night off Thursday’s NFL season opener. The line moved from Tampa Bay -6 to Tampa Bay -9 — a few places even had 9.5 — as players hammered the Buccaneers. PointsBet, for instance, told us that 62 percent of the money they saw was on the spread line was on the Bucs. The bookies did get hurt, however, when the game surpassed the 52.5 or so over/under in Tampa Bay’s 31-29 win.
The $75,000 placed at DraftKings on Zeke Elliott scoring a touchdown went up in smoke. As did our play on Elliott rushing for over 54.5 yards. He had a just 33, as Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott attempted 58 passes.
One more DK note: A player has $150,000 on the Browns to win the AFC at 8-1 odds. Would pay $1.2 million.

In less than two months, Josh Duggar will be in court for the beginning of his trial on child pornography charges.
The former reality star is facing up to to 20 years in prison if convicted.
According to prosecutors, an investigation by the Department of Homeland Security led the authorities to the computer Josh used when he was the owner of a used car dealership in northwest Arkansas.
Needless to say, it sounds like a pretty open-and-shut case.
But Josh's father, Jim Bob Duggar, has shelled out for an elite team of lawyers who are attempting to muddy the waters enough to create a shadow of a doubt about Josh's guilt.
Their latest gambit is a bold one:
Josh's lawyers are claiming that Homeland Security investigators violated his rights by photographing his hands when he was arrested.
The photos are significant, as prosecutors say a scar on Josh's hand matches one in a photo that investigators found on his computer.
The exact nature of the photo on the computer is unclear, but prosecutors believe it proves that the computer -- and the contents therein -- belong to Josh.
“What is particularly egregious about HSI’s conduct in this capacity is that Duggar’s body parts were manipulated, and he was required to pose for the photographs," reads the latest filing from his attorneys.
Prosecutors responded by pointing out that Josh went along with all requests willingly.
“At no time during this process did the special agent or any other law enforcement officers involved in the processing of the defendant raise their voice at him, intimidate him, or verbally or physically threaten him,” reads the DA's reply.
“Law enforcement observed the same scar in images recovered from the defendant’s electronic devices seized pursuant to a search warrant in this case,” the document continues.
“Law enforcement’s photographing of the defendant’s hands did not constitute an unreasonable or warrantless search of the defendant. As made clear by the photographs included in the defendant’s motion, his hands were in plain view and clearly visible," prosectors went on.
"This is not a case in which law enforcement, for example, ordered the defendant to remove an article of clothing so that officers could view and photograph an otherwise covered parts of his body."
Obviously, it sounds like Josh's lawyers are grasping at straws here.
If this were the only trick up their sleeve, we'd say it's pretty clear that Josh is going to prison.
But his attorneys have unleashed a many-pronged attack and they only need one of their approaches to be successful.
Already, they've tried to get Josh's case thrown out on a technicality, and it's likely they'll make further attempts along those lines as his trial date draws nearer.
To any objective observed, it seems obvious that Josh is guilty, but several of his family members still maintain their belief in his innocence.
For example, Josh's wife, Anna Duggar, believes he was framed by the Biden administration.
We doubt his lawyers will make that argument in court, but it serves as a reminder that Josh has a lot of supporters in his corner, and he could conceivably beat this case.
We'll have further updates on this developing story as more information becomes available.
Say what you want about Audrey Roloff.
Based on some of the comments she's made in the past, we certainly have.
But you also must say the following about the former Little People, Big World star:
She has a way with words.
The podcast host and author showed off this talent over the weekend, too, as she paid emotional and heartfelt tribute to daughter Ember.
"You are F O U R!," wrote Audrey to open a lengthy caption that centered on the photos above and below.
Continued the pregnant mother of two:
"You are my excitable, determined, articulate, inviting, imaginative, compassionate, adventurous, creative, brave, always-singing, dress wearin, barefoot runnin, watermelon eatin, kitchen helpin, ballet dancin, chicken egg collectin, flower lovin girl..."
Audrey went on:
In your own words… “I’m a swimmer, and a jumper, and a ride biker, and a colorer, and a painter, and a crafter, and a swinger, and a helper, and an eater, and a reader booker, and a bath tuber.
You continue to bring daily joy and laughter to our home.
You always amaze us with how forward thinking you are and how eager you are to try new things.
You love inviting others into your fun ideas.
According to Audrey, Ember requested a mermaid-themed party because she swims like a mermaid. Even though she's only seen The Little Mermaid once.
Concludde Ember's extremely proud mother:
You always say you love us “all the way to the sky and back down and to the sky and down a thousand thousand thousand times” but mom and dad love you more precious girl.
We love who you are and who you are becoming. To raise you and love you is a gift.
Audrey, of course, is expecting a younger brother or sister for Ember and her brother, Bode.
She and husband Jeremy have decided not to learn the gender of their impending baby this time around, although they should find out in the pretty near future whether it will be a boy or a girl.
The former reality star has never been the most popular social media user; not when she says weird things like how she tans well because she's part Native American.
Audrey can also come across as rather pompous.
But one thing cannot be denied? Even by her most loudspoken critics, haters and trolls.
And that one thing is this:
Audrey Roloff loves her kids.
On that point, we should all be able to agree.

While most of Hollywood was out at the MTV VMA’s last night, Christina Aguilera made her way to a stage across the country in New York. The singer was attending the LadyLand festival in Brooklyn this weekend where she put on her pair of iconic chaps and belted out some of her classic hits. The 40 year old made a quick outfit change and paid homage to the Statue of Liberty, wearing a crown and a pair of thigh high boots. More highlights from the show in the gallery!

The mystery is over.
And now the celebration can begin.
Late last week, Leah Messer shared a photo of a very handsome man giving her a kiss on the cheek.
The Teen Mom 2 star didn't identity this man at the time, however, prompting speculation across the Internet over his identity.
But now we know.
Over the weekend, Messer uploaded a bunch of new pictures of her boyfriend and even spoke to Entertainment Tonight about him, going public (in excited and proud fashion!) about Jaylan Mobley.
"We met through a project Jaylan did with ESPN and the Army that was filmed and captured by one of my PA’s in September 2020," Messer explained to this outlet.
"In growing my network, I followed Jaylan, and in February of this year, we connected through DMs and he asked me on a date."
How did things go at the tiime?
"On our first date, he picked me up took me to a lovely dinner at Bricks & Barrels in Charleston, West Virginia, and then we went to the Wiz Khalifa concert at the WV Power Park," Messer continued.
"It was amazing."
The rest is history. Or, well, the rest is present, we suppose.
Mobley was actually on vacation with Messer and Kailyn Lowry in Costa Rica this summer, which is when he asked Messer to be his girlfriend.
He is a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and a member of the West Virginia National Guard.
In July, Jaylan completed the Cyber Basic Officer Leadership Course.
According to a post on Jaylan’s Instagram from at that time, moreover, he is the first Army Cyber Officer in the state of West Virginia to be selected for this exclusive program.
A former intern at NASA, Mobley recently turned 25 years old... hails from Charlotte, North Carolina... and doesn't have any children.
But he has met Messer's children, as you can see below!
"They connected so well that initially it scared me, but I want my girls to see who is making their mama smile," Messer told ET, adding:
"My heart can’t take this.
"Ali also had to show him her newfound love for the clarinet, Aleeah had to show him her vocals and talk about her passion for the ocean, and Addie just wanted to go to the park, play tag and pull out her most recent pranks."
Continued Leah on this vital topic:
"At the end of the day, Jaylan is such a great person and I know he’ll be such a positive influence in my daughters' lives.
"They love him, and that’s what I needed to know before introducing them all."
Messer was previously married to Corey Simms and Jeremy Calvert, but had been single for awhile before taking Mobley into her arms and her bed.
Will Jaylan Mobley appear on Teen Mom 2 next season?
We can't say for certain, but it seems likely -- which has viewers pretty darn excited.
"I’m liking Leah’s storyline now," wrote on social media user in response to Messer's boyfriend reveal, while another quipped:
"She prayed and the lord answered."
On a Teen Mom 2 episode last season, Messer said her daughters had been encouraging her to get back out there and date.
"I'm OK with being alone too, I've got you guys," she told them in response, adding that she wants to be a "positive role model" for her kids when it comes to romance.
In a confessional, she expounded as follows:
"I want to be physically, mentally 100% before I add anyone else to me life."
As for where things are headed between Messer and Mobley?
"I think the chemistry is there, I think the love is real, and I’ve honestly never been so excited to see where something like this will go," Leah concluded to ET.
"I just want to stay present, patient, and see where this will go. Time flies when you’re having the best time of your life.
"We're just focused on making more memories."
